It works that way, yes. It's not very good in a seraph deck though.

A seraph deck has 6 to 9 countdown reductions amulet in the deck. All the other slots are packed with removal, draw and stalling cards to ensure that you're alive to play seraph on t8, and win the game on t9 with 3 countdown cards, ideally.
