I'm rotating through the choices using the 7 missions as practice, and for Gauntlets I'd do a charged uppercut (triangle) and then just hit square / circle whenever I could with that one power up that boosts damage.
Aside from the timing, is that the entire fighting style of gauntlets? Not that I'm complaining since I'm having fun, but if there's more to it I'd like to know that too.
Like, I didn't know the O combo had bonus damage with precision too.

You can also exit from any Square combo attack into a triangle move. Also it's one of the few weapons with a formal block move to minimize damage so don't ever forget that you can tank most shit with it.

As I understand it, Ubisoft seems to have been granted exclusive rights the distribute Tetris and Tetris clones in the west. No one is going to cut them in just to put stuff like this in the NA store. It's the same reason we're not getting Puyo Puyo on Vita in the west.

Playing the demo, Toukiden 2's localization is utterly awful. A lot of things are just weird, isn't natural, slightly missing the context, and many explanations don't make sense.

Gauntlets die fast against Ultimate Oni if they only spam attack.

This style has Side step evasion, and blocking, and you have to make use of those when you anticipate attacks, otherwise you will be dying a lot.

Rifle is great with either ATK or support role like HLG or SUP Mitamas. Some people manage to absolutely rock Rifles using PLN but I never managed to do it.

Ignore any bullet types other than SNP and SCT, these are the only ones that deal consistent high damage. Always aim at the Miasmal Nodes (the purple things when aiming with a rifle) and remember to use the Rifle's special, X+Square, to weaken Oni's Miasmal Nodes defense to bullet damage.

hollow realization post-patch is a pretty good action game

OSS seems to have super armor now, the only thing i've had break them it is the desperation moves in duel mode, and the timing's been relaxed for the skill connect diamonds. tales-like directional inputs register a lot better, though i'd still map most of the skills to the face button palettes. every weapon can shield now, not just the shields. there's a manual SP recharge you can trigger, similar to the ki recharge from the budokai/xenoverse games, which further encourages sword skill use. enemies stagger more reliably, and the new aincrad dungeon is more complex than any of the base game ones. if the next few DLCs are of this quality then by the end of its lifespan i'd say this game would beat out hollow fragment. the next update is adding the Esoteric Skills from the final postgame boss in HF, so they're seemingly giving it a shot.
