I find the game to be unmercilessly tedious.
In some ways having some burden of knowledge is good, becuase players should try to figure out things without having their hand held.
On the other hand revo is layers of time gatijg behind layers of time gating. It has so many layers that unless youve suffered through them already either in cbt or china that youre bound to get caught by at least one of them

See that wouldn't all be that bad if literally everything in the game wasn't locked behind time gates. Its not a problem in other games, cause all you need to do is grind it out. The problem is you can't burst grind out things or focus on one thing for long periods of time. Its just a never ending stream of "do you dailies, do your dungeons, do your checklists" every fucking day until you get what you want instead of being able to just go and directly get what you want. I get what they are trying to do (getting people to come back every day to play, consistent player base, etc.) but god does it get fucking tedious even after just a week of playing. Progression of all forms, not just crafting, is just locked behind walls that you need to wait out for basically.

Ok but while you sit around waiting for your artifact knowledge to go up you could still be out there earning artifact power right? I haven't played legion since like the ret hidden skin was found so I could be wrong.

Like with wow I never felt like "Oh I'm capped on arena points or badges for the week, guess I can't get anything for my character at all" but with this game I am not only gated on getting the mats I need for stuff but also limited to how many I can purchase on top of that and limited to how many times I can play a dungeon to once a day for anything that matters and like 3 runs for shit that doesn't.

Don't get me wrong, I like this game, but it is pretty frustrating.

You only need 100 honor for the 2 WEEKLY CAPPED ascended stone from the factions and there's nothing else but the costume which will take god knows how long to get. The game is designed so character progress is halted, not slowed. Even battlegrounds have a ridiculously low weekly cap, play for 2 days and there goes your reason for playing the p2w, unbalanced, low level PvP.

The only real thing you can do is to make another character that will also be restricted with all the weekly caps.

OK, listen here my dude. Your main weapon(press C, bottom left slot) is used for half your skills and charges the red combo bar when used. Your off hand weapon(press C, bottom right slot) is used for the other half of your skills and charges the blue bar. You can't switch between them, they're both already equipped and will automatically be used whenever you cast a skill.

Now, the Gunslinger's main weapon has a special skill which you obtain at level 20 IIRC(don't quote me on that), called Sniper Mode. When you get that skill, you can press 5 and switch from your dual pistols to the sniper that you're carrying on your back to gain attack benefits and lose mobility. After you unlock that skill you will be free to switch between dualies and sniper whenever you want.

It's not junk. This class can deal the highest single-target DPS in the game but is not very good at AoE. If specced right you will deal more damage to bosses than any of your teammates(unless they're gunslingers too ofc). Generally it's one of the easiest classes because you mostly click buttons to shoot shit without having to worry about stances, buffs and stuff like that. Your attacks also have the longest range in the game because you can literally be a sniper, so that's another convenient thing. You sit back, faceroll on the keyboard and DPS the boss better than everyone else.

they added 3 scrolls to the cash shop for 140 each. you buy all 3 and combine them into a map. the map autopaths you to some random place and gives you a loot interface and has OP stuff in it that completely overpowers actually playing the game. There is no limit to the number of these you can buy / activate in a day. It is pure insane p2w filth. Anyone who was hoping to be pvp competetive without dropping tons of dosh will be unable to compete with whales no matter what they do at this point. This would be acceptable if it happened a few months into the game, but it has been out for f2p players for 10 days. its waaaay too early and people are furious that you can now buy months worth of effort right from the start of this game.
