I've done 28 runs of CoA1 now on my main to try and get Cp0 160 gear for my alt that I'm leveling. Still haven't gotten BSW legs or shoes. The chest and waist that I have are reinforced, the hands are prosperous. I also have a grothdarr set waiting for me. The shoulders are well-fit, the head is training.

Any point in queueing for dungeons at low levels?

The reasoning behind why they have to redo stuff regarding how much it's required to craft something is because you're essential getting two weapons for the price of one.

The reasoning why the economy would go bonkers is because people would hoard upgrade mats because everyone is expecting people to upgrade bows and staffs (since it would be a direct buff to mag sorcs and they want to push the bow as a front bar weapon for wardens that everyone and their mother wants to play) before the update where it will happen. Once the update hits people will try to sell for an overprice but since anyone who gives a fuck about high tier upgrade mats will already have acquired the mats they need in preparation of the update the market will freeze and we'll end up with people trying to sell to people who don't want to buy.

I wasn't too impressed by how fast that went, so I went back to questing and doing shit the usual way. The benefits to this is that while you are casually looting stuff on your way to 50, you find furniture mats and recipes more easily than if you were intentionally trying to find them.

The one part I can't stand about leveling is having to replace gear every so often.

When I leveled up my most recent alt i just installed the skyshards/lorebooks addons and wandered around zones where i'd already done the quests on other characters

You could also just level their mount speed and not actually play them until another double xp event.

training pots go for about 3k on guild traders, with the provisioning passive for drinks you get 50 minutes of use out of it. you should be able to make 3k in 50 mins while questing.

ask a guildmate to craft you blue training gear and that's 7*9 = 63 % increase in killed XP.

My guild was discussing this the other day: would it be better if Necromancy was a skill line or a new class?

Someone suggested a class with skill lines that resembled something like Curses, Conjuring the Dead and a third Utility class, which I think is almost just a reskinning of the Sorcerer class.

Would you pay crowns if they just created skin-classes, with custom effects, names and shit, but keeping the mechanics? Because, as much as I'd like to say I wouldn't, I know I definetely would...

However, I think it would make sense if a Necro line would be added like a Guild line - a Worm Cult line or something - with an Ultimate that could make you a Lich for a few seconds or, Idk, conjure one, just like in Oblivion

Dunmer MagDk. Your racial increases fire damage, which is what most of DKs magic is. Your class skills make anything that is burning take more fire damage. This will stack with your racial, all of your AoE's, the AoE's from destruction staff (with a fire staff equipped), and both Grothdarr and Skoria sets. Oh, and use burning spellweave to make everything burn, adding to all of that.

No. With Imperial Edition, you can only convert white (common) gear. The easiest way to get the looks you want is by crafting your own sets. You craft your shit in the special forges around Tamriel (there are 3 'special forges/woodcutters/tailors' for each region, I guess) and, before improving them to better quality, you can Convert them to Imperial.

Indeed. People will typically, depending on their build, wear a 2 piece monster set (head and shoulders), and you can wear a second 5 piece set between two one handed weapons/weapon nd shield and jewelry.

For example, what I have on this guy with teh BSW. I'm slumming it with willpower jewelry for the 3 piece bonus because I just got to champ points with this guy and haven't farmed much beyond the BSW I had. The monster helm and shoulders that I have have horrible traits, but for now will do, since I get the proc off it, and can always farm for the better traits. My staff are just generic sharpened staffs.

untrue. I've crafted, improved and enchanted a full set, then couldn't get the colors to not look retarded so converted to imperial as the final step.

what can't be converted is dropped named gear (set items and quest rewards). I just tried and succeeded at converting a green 'dwarven gauntlets of health' I've found and it went from nord to imperial without issue.

Dampen Magic or Volatile Armor on my magdk dps? Harness Magicka seems really REALLY situational.
Degeneration also seems to help over Structured Entropy a lot more as well

Before frost staff was announced I've thought about an alteration staff skill line focusing on strengthening damage shields and group buffs rather than block strength. I was kind of excited when they revealed frost staff as a magicka-tank alternative, but it's underperforming in comparison to 1h&s. Would prefer if they reverted frost staff to a dps weapon, make it focus on strengthening debuffs and snares as opposed to fire/lightning's damage boosts, introduce alteration staff as a seperate magicka tank weapon skill line, and maybe even introduce conjuration and illusion.

The main reason for one hand and shield is the taunt, yes, but what about major fracture and breach, minor maim, and the increase in survivibility. Until that is addressed, frost staff tanking will always be inferior.

I don't know what the fuck a Blood Death Knight is but generally Templars have good healing and sustain. It's fun when I walk up into 5 people in PvP, pop Shield Wall, cleanse any negative effects and heal myself to full until my allies come and fuck their shit up. Or just hold block and try to outheal their damage until my ultimate is up. On top of that I actually can do good damage on my own when not pressured that much. Templars are generally pretty well-rounded.

How should I build an Imperial 2h Dragon Knight?

i'm nearing level 50 for the first time but picking my skills is still stressing me out. people don't just limit themselves to 10 skills and 2 ults, right? how much of a skill+morph allowance should I give myself and swap out for different content?
i know the game gives you a LOT of skill points, but i'm not good at spending them wisely.

Pve or pvp? For pve, dual wield is better damage. For PvP, rally for the self heal and weapon damage, spiked armor for mitigation and some aoe, the third and fourth skills for general damage and a self shield (can't recall the names at the moment), then either dawnbreaker as a kill shot. You can use talons to lock targets down, and chains to pull in runners.

I unironically want more proc sets and set types like weapons to make up for the limited skill bars.
But I also want them to be balanced out well because I hate the BiS meme.

I kinda want to play this game, I remember having a bit of fun in the beta, however at the time I couldn't a sub fee, now I see it is partially subless, and though I actually have a job now, I'd rather not pay 15$ a month to play.

Unfortunately, that will never go away. THink about the types of people that play MMO's. You have the casual players, the crafters, the wanna be market barons who want to control to trade scene, the dungeon delver, the person who wants to be carried, and the hard core raider.

For these people, the hard core raider and some of the dungeon delvers will make spreadsheets, datamine, theorycraft, and determine what the best possible combination of skills/stats/equipment under ideal conditions is. The rest on the dungeoneers will see this and follow suit, those who don't know better/want to come up with their own ideas will also follow, and the market barons will adjust prices accordingly.

Because if they say its the best, then thats that.

When damage is at that little of difference you won't even see it because you literally have to be at vMOL HM leaderboard running tier good at your class.

Like now, you could easily run 5 spinners and 5 mother sorrow and you would clear all vet dungeon content, the only reason mother sorrow ain't BiS is because of aggressive warhorn change, where in a dungeon it won't even matter, it's only when you get into a PRO vtrial group and you have 99% horn uptime and the same for spinners it only becomes irrelevant once you're in a trial group and the penetration is stacked so high on mobs because of all the debuffs that 12 people provide that it's then overkill, like unless you have dungeon group set up for pen like with each person running nmg, tfs and alkosh, which is a chance in a fucking million to just get a pug group with that setup.

How many dps a Maelstron staff can give us? Ilambris, BSW and Moondancer.

That's part of the reason why I main a DK tank. I have 5 piece ebon armor for the set bonus, a 5 piece seventh legion for the set bonus (working to replace it with knights errant for the more reliable heal), and bloodspawn set. My resistances are near cap with hardened armor, I have 34k health, and all I have to do is keep the mobs angry at me, point them away from the group, sometimes dodge red stuff, and then let everyone else do the hard work.

Good to know. I don't intend to do trials, I've had my fill of raiding over the years from EQ to WoW and others, and I am more than happy just running regular dungeons, vets, and hard modes. Generally if you're a light armour user, you put your light pieces on your chest, hands, belt, legs and feet because there are good dropped light sets out there e.g. burning spell weave. This allows you to make your head and shoulder pieces heavy and medium for the undaunted passive. If you want the most ideal armour stats put your heavy piece on your head and medium on your shoulder for more resistances.

If however you're planning on using crafted sets, it doesn't really matter where your pieces go, as long as you have 5/1/1. And make sure to put the heavy on a big piece e.g. head, chest or legs.

So, finally got my magdk to 50, CP 200 now. Have him set up in 5 BSW/3 willpower jewelry/2 grothdarr/2 crafted sharpened fire staffs. Only have one piece of BSW in divines, upgraded to gold, the rest are scattered (a couple in infused, a couple in reinforced), and the traits on my grothdarr means I need to farm for better ones. I have no intention of doing trials, just dungeons and vet modes.

Looking at some resources for vMA, looks like a fun and frustrating challenge. Just how BiS should I go for before I give it a shot? I know that with my gear I won't make leaderboards or top 1% like Joey's rattata, just wondering if I'd be viable to at least complete it.

Refer to the pic. For basic dungeons, you can make anything work. Once you get your skills up and get champ points, a decent group (even a pug) can clear most dungeons in short order. When you get into vet modes, hard modes, trials, and some of the DLC dungeons is when build choice will really start to hamper you.

Nope. I'd suggest leveling either via dolmens (where damage don't matter much), or doing your leveling in a DPS build and then once you hit CP levels put on your tank build and use enlightenment XP to powerlevel the fuck out of those skills and skill-lines.

Capital cities, desu. Or DLC cities like Orsinium. Mournhold is lively and cozy,or for a non-capital but very lively place you can visit Rawl'Kha and enjoy the bright sunny savannah. Orsinium is for cozy winter feels, and if you can stand a constant stream of death-gurgles, the gold coast is nice for Oblivion nostalgia.

I'm kind of the opposite re: the environments, honestly. ESO's environments feel more unique and engaging compared to GW2's (can't speak for TERA, never played), I get more of a city feeling out of Abah's Landing or Wayrest than I ever did out of Divinity's Reach.

It doesn't hurt that like 90% of the buildings here are interactable and not fucking dollhouses on a wall that's usually unreachable to give the illusion of the city being bigger than it is.

Dunno about EU but NA seems lively. I see RPers everywhere. Very spread out, very varied. I see Dunmer houses, tribunal priests, werewolf packs (or general werewolf/vampire/cultist covens), mercenary companies, etc. When I was spectating some in Riften with a friend I saw some pretty varied characters.

Also I'm going to go for a Warcraft RTS Paladin style build - i.e, a nice 2 handed hammer with very little melee spells beyond autoattack and full healer options. This isn't feasible for gameplay is it?

RP is ok. There's very lively communities that frequently organize events. Check out http://eso-rp.com/ for events and the forums for guilds. Being able to join five guilds allows you the freedom to pick one if you feel like it even if you aren't too dedicated to the idea. What's nice about TESO RP is that you can quite freely and easily choose whether to RP or not whenever you feel like it, since therre's only the megaservers and you can play between alliances.

A lot of RP seems to happen in EP, though, with dunmer being pretty popular, followed by khajiit.
RP itself seems to consist of tavern-rp, meet-ups, sometimes ruin exploration and shit. Quality seems more or less alright, since there's some good lore to adhere to and you don't actually have much room for deviantart-ish concepts, while still having the opportunity for some pretty outlandish ideas. Shit takes a lot of time, though, since you need to wait for each other to finish typing shit and all.

Overall it's ok. The only thing I can't stand are play-house-rpers who carry their imaginary babies around fucking everywhere and pretty much only ever talk or emote about their babby or pregnant belly or shit no matter where they are.
