It's not, though. If you're going by Expert dungeon clear time with big pulls, WHM and DRK with a BRD using Foe's is one of the faster Tank + Healer AOE combos.

If you're going with raiding and ex Primals, DRK is still the best MT and last I checked WHM is still best MH. (I think AST is the best now? Haven't played in a long time.

I've got about 12 of the new big fish to go, their windows and requirements for catching are SUPER finnicky so I expect them to last till Stormblood and maybe even afterwards depending on what distracts me, but I've got about as high of a gathering stat as I can manage right now unless I can manage a 7% and 4% meld of +10s on my rod, so there's nothing to do but shove food in my dumb face and keep trying!

chysahl greens + adamantite ore - white gear req
1* nodes from folklore books (look in gathering log for these, you need the blue scrip books to unlock) - i170 gear needed to gather pretty sure (carbonweave or blue scrip gear)
3* node (also from books but hard to gather without at least i195/i200 weapons) - i190 gear recommended + melded if you want any hq

chysahl greens and adamantite are regular collectables, if you cant gather them you can't gather 1* folklore

150 white - crafted
i180 scrip + blue scrips + 470? collectability adamantite ore or chysahl greens
170 carbonweave = crafted, its usable on all gatheres

i190 - crafted ironworks, expensive
i200 - weekly upgrades from goblin dice (red scrips)

I'm quite not sure how you're getting the collectability needed for zhloe but can't gather blue scrips from other nodes, they're the same difficulty afaik, and yeah if you have no access to better gear then you have to use IA to rng out at least one node for the foil req for i180

Trying to get this relic weapon makes me want to quit this game :\ I don't have a static or raid so my AugShire/Diabolic is about the best gear I'm going to get, so the only upgrade for me is my relic...

but god damn this umbrite grind. I realize they just nerfed it, but even now at the halfway point (120 sands applied), I need 30-40 more umbrite.

That's 4500 (if you get REALLY lucky) to 6000 lore! That's 60 fucking Gubal HArd runs over and over at 15-20 minutes each depending on the group you get.

And that's assuming you don't sit in party finder for an hour trying to find a group.

Just doing this shit makes me just not want to play anymore.

I mean, what's the point? I'm looking at another 2 months to finish the relic given umbrite, singing crystal, and light farm... and the expansion will be out in June and then completely invalidate the entire weapon.

If you want to progress, get everything to 60 with welfare gear and find all the glamours you want so when SB hits you can buy NPC equipment that'll be stronger than anything on HW right now.

To satiate the other anon's desire for proper English, I'll forgo usage of terse statements or slang. The i200 pieces of gear are not better than their crafted counterparts so long as you put a decent effort into melding. It's also important to note that by creating an Ironworks set of gear, you have a universal set of gear for all your crafting classes. The one exception is the chest piece, stats on the chest piece are so high that you would have to put a great deal of effort (and gil) into melding your chest piece for it to be better than the i200 counterpart.

Despite this, you won't actually need all those stats to craft 4* items and gear, even on crafter classes that aren't your specialization. And with consideration to the fact that you will only be able to purchase a single chest piece for one class, usable only for that one class, I don't quite find it worth it. One of the by far and away largest reasons crafted gear is superior is not because of the capped stats you can get, but the bonus CP that the scrip counterparts do not give.

In short, crafted is the best because its a universal set and you don't need to completely meld your stats in any case.

995 craftsmanship, 955 control is needed for 4*. Neither of my weapons on this non-specialization Weaver are melded, and my chest piece only has 2 Control V inside. I only need to meld 29 more Craftsmanship if I want to craft 4* as a Weaver. I eat Seafood Stew for +50 CP +31 Control because CP is basically what it all comes down to at the end of the day.

With the drop in prices of IV materia, you really shouldn't have much trouble with crafted sets. But if you're acquiring Goblin Cups, feel free to use it to cheat on a piece here and there (perhaps weapon).

are 90% of healers just afk during 24 mans? Somehow everytime i do dun scaith i'm in charge of main healing the tank, healing my own group, doing any mechanics that require someone to stand in shit, healing anyone that gets hit by a mechanic, and reviving anyone that gets killed. The moment I die the raid immediately wipes because i have to carry so much of it.

Other healers cant even bother do prep up for the raid wide aoe damage and every group except mine drops to 15% health
