Spike traps are either,

Half/half. Where half of the traps go up while the other half is down, small dead-time, then the other half activates, then so on.

Pressure plate. Activated shortly after a player steps on it.

Wave. They all activate after considerable dead-time, and in a 'wave' fashion. So it'd be 1>2>3>4>5>6 etc, all down, then repeat. Easy as fuck if you're at the '1' side, you just follow it.

Interesting, if this was in a trading league, I'd consider Inq the obvious choice since the synergy with consecrated ground and crit against chilled is obvious and you can scale crit with 2x Lioneye's Falls converting staff and melee crit nodes

SSF, harder to tell, Raider should be pretty nice too for fast map clearing since frenzies are generic damage scaling and the new WED clusters are pretty strong

Just boot up PoB and compare 2 mock up trees, too hard to tell and kinda depends on what you're trying to achieve, either optimal map clearing (Raider probably better) or permafreezing (Inq probably better with the caveat harder bosses are probably immune anyway)

Soul Taker is a bad weapon by today's standards. Mana sustain hasn't been an issue for melee for a long time now, its only niche use would be to enable 2x 50% mana reservation auras, but that's no longer optimal for anyone melee except maybe Aegis Gladiators running Determination+Grace. Maybe.

Blood Rage doesn't need constant recasting since keeping it up is trivial vs trash as it refreshes itself on kill however it can be a viable setup for killing bosses since you need the leech then, probably only true for Slayer though

SSF is a fetish. Masochistic players who want to gimp themselves from exploring the game would play SSF.

What you get out of SSF is a character that is so generic so that it can use just about any junk that drop. Does it test you game knowledge? It does but so does normal temp league players. Have you ever tried to make a build with wonky uniques and mechanic works? That requires more braincells than playing ssf in my opinion.
