I know it's fun to laugh at this card, but it actually is an aggressive-minded card that is alright. The reason it loses ward on evolve for its 2 attack effect is most likely for when you evolve it for face if it survives a turn, you can hide it behind a ward. Not amazing because it has to survive that turn but not just pack filler either

The problem with Sword on T2 is that ALL of their legendaries are at least good even in constructed, so your first and last picks are almost never bad, while they also have so many low cost drops that drafting a perfect curve is almost impossible. It's too hard to become better than that with just more power cards.
But, yeah, Shadow will definetely stay up there as the second best, considering that, the best thing next to Shadow, Dragon, got dogshit.

On average you might see 2-3 total followers on a board during a control matchup. If there's only 2 then she's strictly worse than imp lancer, which imp lancer itself is already a mediocre card.

It's also a bad card in aggro vs. aggro because there seems little incentive to play her over Forte. The only reason you'd use this is because her hp but essentially you're just hoping your opponent doesn't have a DoD, and in any case Forte is better for non-conditional reliable damage (which you want in an aggro deck).

Here is what's wrong with her design in general. Dragon doesn't have good board flood. Meaning you're relying on your opponent to boost her. However why the fuck would you be storming your opponents face if they have a bunch of followers on their board? You want to punish board floods with something defensive, not offensive. Aurelia and Amelia are well-designed board flood punish. Aina is the perfect example of a card with shoddy design (+shit stats) that gives shoved into Dragon constantly.

We got Neirid for finally being able to do an on-curve and to regenerate subsequent seacraft board and Arriet/Aina gives you gigantic reach with anything that survives that's even more with a surviving follower and a ramped serpent's force.
Wrath and grimnir are strong in discard pendant decks for additional clear and a win con

You'll do absolutely nothing, because almost all of the amulets are 3pp and the game physically doesn't have amulet removal other than petrify for Rune until turn 4 at the earliest, and all of that removal is awful and won't even always come online that turn, e.g. Geryon/Goetia. Have you played Face dragon recently? You're never going to outrace sword in the year of Albert.

People shove things like gryphon knight, fire lizard, angel of the word, siegfried into their face dragon decks nowadays. One of face dragons greatest benefits is being able to ping followers off the board while playing your own. Unattackable followers are too slow to beat decks like aggro necro, aggro blood, and sword, and almost pointless against control/midrange decks because they run tons of removal.

Forte already does the slam-face job better than Aina, and without being forced into a bad conditional requirement either.

Yeah, Khawy probably isn't going anywhere, but it doesn't hurt to have a backup option for the deck if Khawy somehow becomes less relevant in the future. Not sure how it'd happen exactly, though, hence why I put Thane in as a 'maybe' at best.

Zombie party is great, and completely replaces Resentment since you never wanted to pay Resentment's necromancy anyway, unless you wanted to risk missing your T6 Breath cost.

As for Test, I'd want to play it on-curve to give pseudo-ward to my T2, T4 and T5 follower plays. Using Mordecai as a wall is nice and all, but the main purpose would be to force trades with things like Lurching Corpse and Hell's Unleasher. Sure, banish messes with the combo, but banish messes with the whole deck, so that doesn't really matter much.
