Mount Lanayru, East Gate. There's a small T-shaped body of water west of Mount Lanayru, it'll be around the rightmost point of the water. If you see a Lynel around, it's just west of that.

Lanayru spawns at night. A good place to get her would be early morning by the Lanayru East Gate. She spawns shortly after a morning campfire, and flies low to the ground so you can get good hits in on her horns for the Champion Tunic upgrades.

I kind of find this funny and while I do believe the games are better for having Link as a silent protagonist. There is a bit to be said about showing Link's side of things. He's a knight and from the sound of it, not coming from a family of knights, but rather that his father was the exception, a commoner that became a knight out of need, rather then duty and Link followed in his foot steps. He's always pushing himself and doesn't want to appear weak, so he puts duty before anything. I'm sure that he saw his protecting of Zelda to be an honor, but one that he did begrudgingly because of her attitude. Everyone was always telling him to actually find out what kind of person Zelda was, rather then just be her knight. It's not until the later memories that you see them start to connect and they both realize they have their own problems and start to support each other, but by then it's too late. Both this Link and Zelda are pretty flawed, though for Link it's harder to tell since it has to be told through surmising other peoples conversations rather then hearing Link's thoughts.

If Link could have been more then just her Knight, if he hadn't been scared that opening up would put him in the same position that Zelda is. Then yeah, I'm sure that Zelda would have awakened to her power before her 17th birthday.

Once you get in you're probably gonna realise like I did that you overworried and as long as you have like 5-10 combined health and stamina upgrades and your armour upgraded twice the earlier you do it the better it is. If you went RIGHT NOW you'd probably stomp everything, especially if you have the master sword already (and the master sword is far from the most powerful thing you can haul in there).

Helpful advice on guardians, get pretty close to them and wait until right after their laser first flashes in their eye (as in the blue-white flash, not the red flash) to parry, the ones with no legs get oneshot and the ones with legs get threeshot; And as for the castle itself, the hardest things in it by far are two lynels you can easily skip by climbing around the outside of their arenas, which will be obvious when you get to them. Everything else is cake.

I just finished it tonight. When you complete the game, it puts you right before the final boss again, but with a star on your save file. It also gives you a completion percentage in the menus, how many quests and such. So the answer is kind of no, but there's not any real harm in kicking Ganon's ass and then just continuing the save file, but story wise, Ganon is still at the castle.

Also, I'm surprised that with 95 shrines done and about half the side quests in the game, it only shows 30% completed for me. maybe I didn't crunch the numbers well enough, I thought it would at least be 50%, I feel like I tackled most of the content in the game.

Specifically, Zelda is talking about how if Link's family came from a long line of knights, would he have felt obligated to choose a different path to not live in the shadows, showing Zelda's reluctance to JUST be a tool for sealing Ganon simply because that was all her ancestors did. The painter literally tells you where they all are, what's the point in looking it up? The awesome part is, it actually feels like a real liveable space. Like they actually planned out how this place could feasibly be done and then ruined it to make you have to climb certain passages, or bomb out walls.

Past Zelda dungeons have always felt too fantastical, like there is just no way that someone would actually make an area like this because it's so impractical. But the castle and the divine beasts all make sense, have walk ways that a normal person could actually conceivably use. The only thing about the beasts that doesn't make sense is the control panels and their defenses, though I guess since the Shiekah are fucking Ninja and if they all had those Slates, then I guess it makes sense enough in the lore.

So, my roommate and I were discussing this and two comments by Zelda at the end of the game are bothering me.

The first I originally interpreted as Ganon has given up his curse of constantly reincarnating and is cashing in on it all in an attempt to permanently end the fighting to finally be free.

But then the second has Zelda believe Ganon will be back at some point.

My roommate thinks the first just means Ganon has given up on trying to create a physical form since Calamity Ganon's formation was interrupted and killed by Link so now he's just pissed and wants to fuck shit up. But if that's the case, why didn't he just do that in the beginning? What's the point of creating a physical form if he could go literal beast mode and destroy a whole helluva lot more unless there was some drawback for doing so.
