I really don't like the UI, looks cartoony as fuck, but the changes... I'm ok with them. I want to try the patch as soon as possible.
Some cards, like Mad Rad, look bretty bad, but eh, we'll see.

Save 200 scrap and make woodland spirit if you're going to play monsters or Priscilla and then dedicate 800 to gigni, as it's a really nice neutral to carry.

Why bother with this positioning shit? The game is complex enough as it is, so many times I've played a card and only realised 5 minutes later what a terrible misplay it was.

Monster weather is going to absolutely dominate at lower levels now, even more than it currently does. A general nerf of cards across the board but weather remains untouched, and they STILL haven't done anything with Blizzard which would be a solid counter to it if it affected an entire row.

The regular bronze units and weather immune bronzes you've got are weak compared to other bronzes. You could 3 Temerian foot-soldiers, some kaedwini siege supports, or some reaver hunters/scouts, or field medics.

If you've got scrap, it'd be worth it to craft Priscilla and Nenneke, to replace Sile, who is pretty weak, and Margarita, who doesn't synergize with your deck at all.

The problem with weather is that at low ranks monsters completely dominate because new players have few counters to it. I have no idea why they nerfed the silver weathers though, at high ranks there's a lot more counters to it. They could fix this in one stroke if they actually made Blizzard useful and not a completely dead card against non-weather decks

YenCon should have been made to affect both sides, not turning it in to this bland useless shit.

Radovid is now worse than Cleaver, from what I can gather a leader ability should be somewhere inbetwee a between a silver and a gold in terms of power.

I'm butthurt about the Harald nerf because it synergised with the Skellige wounding abilities, now it's just a slight improvement over the old Stammelford's Tremors.

the fact that people are encouraged to play ranked pushes them to play the decks that get them their wins the fastest so they can get kegs faster

if you played the same person over and over chances are they would try different decks over time but since you play against so many different players chances are they are busy trying to win instead of trying to experiment

Exactly. When I went in to this I expected a fun game for fans of the franchise, which it is, but after a while I realized having a cool themed deck just wasn't viable anymore and that makes it harder to earn more cards if I didn't change it up.
I like the game, but I don't like the Blizzard inspired systems they've implemented in order to keep people hooked not out of enjoyment but out of daily habit.

honestly this, the positioning system should make the game more interesting, however with all the other changes, the game feels like is getting too streamlined and too simple.

This upcoming patch just reeks lazy design.
Wild Boar had a cool idea to it and it made sense, it just needed tweaking, but they for some reason decided to just scrap all of that and just slap some generic shit on it.
There's no longer any reason to even consider using the witchers instead of the crones when playing monsters because the potions work the same way on all of those now and the crones are just stronger plain and simple. It's such a boring thing to just pick the higher number.
But it's still a work in progress so I'm hoping they come to their senses before the game comes out for real.

I have a non-cancer deck. Problem is that everything in ranked right now is netdecked Dwarves or netdecked Nekkers because everything else gets reamed out the ass. I can handle cow control, I can handle Radovid, I can at least break even against weather memes and nothing else bothers me.

But for the past week it's been nothing but Dwarves and Nekkers. So the only way to win is to out-dwarf or out-Nekker.
