I'm partial to Gamma Ray because they've literally been doing the same thing for decades, almost like pserver players. Just churning through old, cleanly polished content borrowed from someone else, sometimes with a few bugs or tweaks.

one thing i notice on all nost/elysium/ hg etc is when u have to talk to people for a quest say 6 guards in theramore or several ghosts in eastern plaguelands if you double click you get credit for 2.

also on hellground on the quest i did where you have to use an item on a corpse x10 if you use the item on a corpse another player killed it wont dissapear and you can keep using it on the same corpse over and over.

little things like that are sort of ok but mobs running away from you and going underground then healing to full because it doesnt have a clear path to you is pretty annoying.

In seriousness we raid 1.5 days a week in average at Euro times, Sunday guaranteed. Were doing no buff, 10man gear only H ICC and were going to kill Putricide tomorrow. Only things we haven't done with these rules are Dedicated Insanity and Yogg 0 (got him to 10% but moved on to avoid burnout).

I did gruul with shitty guild pre-ZA patch on retail, I don't remember if it was already nerfed at that point and ofc we were full kara/HCs geared but I don't remember it being difficult at all and I was in a guild full of shitters (myself included) I would say that after almost a decade this game is solved and you surely can pull more dps than we did at the time with the use of proper add-ons, googling the right gear for your class bis/pre-bis and your rotation.

Another fact that at least hits me close is how the internet (infrastructure) got better if I was playing on 150-180ms at the time now I'm playing on 30ms, that's a huge increase of dps as well.

There is no TBC experience. The TBC experience involves you being young again, it involves you playing it for the first time again, it involves cross-server arenas with thousands of people, and plenty of other things that are not going to happen. No matter how "good" a server is won't actually change any of that. You might think it will, but i doubt it.

"Correct values" is also subjective, because it also depends on the skill and experience of the players. Is "correct" blizzlike numbers? Is "correct" inflated numbers that give more of a challenge and closer replicate the experience of 10 years ago? There's no right or wrong, just opinions.

Sup all, TopkekBen here from the Gruul video with some information.

1 - Hunters had almost perfect comp (Perfect is Enhance, Feral + 3 hunters) We got Resto - Feral + 3 hunters.

2. We rotated 3 shamans to give us 3 bloodlusts/heroisms.

3. We didn't use drums (None of us have been bothered to level leatherworking yet, we have jobs etc and levelling was enough time investment)

4. We all played BM with Ravager pet. Pet damage isn't broken, we rotated warriors to keep battle shout on the pets.

5. Hunters are the best DPS in the game in TBC, and generally have more uptime than casters, we basically played to our strengths to maximise the DPS.

My overall thought of the Gruul fight is that the HP is about right, in retail (i checked the video of my old guild), we killed it world 4th and got 14 Growths, with our top DPSer doing 812dps (a warlock). So that part seems pretty right.

The Cave Ins appear to be a little, overzealous.. Spawning ridiculously frequently in some stages of the fight.

Ground slam / Shatter damage isn't effected by armor, it was hitting me (a hunter) for the same damage it was hitting our tanks.

It would've died much sooner if not for 90% of the raid being spent offline/under ridiculous amounts of lag
