I use Half Shell because I feel it makes his shield actually usable. When you use the shield normally you can't fight at all so you're either going to use it to stall for time alone or use it to protect your teammates, with half shell you can continue to fight and use it to protect yourself.

Sometimes it's better to not buy any items at the start of the match and gauge what item is the most important to get, since every match is different.

Sometimes you have a healer and don't need to worry about taking Life Rip, other times you need to rush it first thing to stay alive. You might see 2 frontliners and think Wrecker is the way to go only to find neither one is using their shield much and Cauterize would really have been the proper choice.

I'm not saying every person who doesn't buy an item is thinking like that because certainly half of them are idiots who just forgot (or buy Bulldozer for no reason) but there are people who have legitimate reasons for not buying items right away.

There is literally never a situation where this is applicable. You can already see the enemy comp & their loadouts to get a good idea of what you need to buy. Even then, there are items that can be bought regardless of comp that always benefit you.

I also have 1000 hours on tf2 and i stopped playing because i started getting bored because they refuse to add new weapons and balance the existing one, because they have the most greedy cosmetic systems ever with both RNG AND Price when they have tons of cosmetic item that are not wore by the community. I cringe when i see someone complains about OW and Paladins lootbox/RNG because honestly it's nothing compared to tf2 2$ key to open a crate that will most of the time give you a useless weapon that just count your kills. Those crate are random drop too compared to paladins & ow lootbox each level/buyable lootbox and then you have nothing to pay for.

I guess you didn't play her since the nerf. If you pick the dodger card she's pretty much the same except the slighly longer cooldowns.
She was one of the few champions that didn't get any part of her skills moved to a legendary in OB44 so now it looks like she got a huge nerf when in fact it just evened things out a bit.
Personally the 500 heal rarely saved me because most of my deaths are instant bursts. For example getting hit by a sha lin arrow and a drogoz rocket at the same time. I still use the pounce card.

I disagree. Maeve is viable. Don't go head-on into the enemy team and you are going to be fine, try to 1v1 as much as possible.
Skye is a flawed character that will never be viable because of her design: A coordinated team will always beat her. But actually she's wayy too annoying and kill wayy too fast with her poison bolt legendary on solo queue. SHE NEED TO BE REWORKED.
Buck is fine and balanced, i have no problems with him and they have no problems with me either if they are good and play well.
Evie is also fine.

Androxus is also fine, i have no problems with him but people are saying he's pretty much OP.

The maps were too big with too much empty space and the player models were alot smaller. Except Grokh, everyone had a projectile weapon (even Buck). The game mode was retarded unless you enjoy shooting at a payload that also moves on its own. Every character had one or two broken builds everyone would use.

Dunno about the bolts, but Pounce is just a lazy collision detection on their part imo. Since all other shields (except for Torvald's, he's a different case) can be deployed away from the user, Pounce will ignore it and go straight for the person behind it. Nando and Androxus (since Reversal is kind of a shield) are different, because their shields are close to them, therefore I think they should get a little bit of a different treatment. Especially Nando, because he can't do anything except for using his F while shielding.
