none of this matters at all, you have to realize every private server ever has been like this and will ALWAYS be like this. There is a reason nostalrius blew up over servers like kronos, rebirth, etc, and that is because they showed professionalism, something that will probably never be seen from again because it is so easy to profit from these servers. After all, why not? Running a private server is an illegal operation, and honestly no easy task. Why the fuck wouldn't you try to exploit the thousands of people willing to give you free money? At the end of the day, all servers except nostalrius have always been for profit, whether it's under the table like Elysium or out in the open like Kronos. Just deal with it and if you don't like it, don't play.

But if you must have a WoW experience free of "corruption", play Kronos where you could 25 man MC in blues before BWL was out, no world PvP because of low pop (not to mention PvP scene died completely because of AV ranking, pushing all of the dedicated/hardcore players away because of how shit ranking was) etc..

I'm a fresh 60. When I was 12 I never managed to get past level 40 before TBC came out and even then I didn't hit 70 until guilds were clearing Black Temple.

Is there anything I have to do before I start doing Stratholme/Scholomance/LBRS/UBRS? Do I need keys? Attunements?

What I find also true is that when a server presents itself as totally non-profit, it's like real life non-profit organizations - the profit is there, it's just shady. Sure, Nostalrius was an exception and all, but it died, didn't it?

Meanwhile servers that have rewards for donation tend to be perfectly open, professional and well-tended to. In the end, you can have a fucked up totally blizzlike server with no rewards and drama, shit and scamming like this, or suck it up, have kids with their credit cards get a little bit of an advantage and enjoy your server.

I'm all for choosing the former, but don't whine that you get the bad with the good.

Fear is completely broken. Polymorphed targets can sometimes still attack as a sheep. Mob pathing is bad. Vanish is broken. Some quests can't be finished. A boss in ZF is broken, or his loot isn't in the game for some reason.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head for now, and I'm only level 47.

They originally launched with 40 servers. Then that following weekend they launched 40 more for Thanksgiving. They original sold 200,000 copies of wow when it hit the store. Scorch at 3/7 coefficient, Frostbolt at 6/7 coefficient. At level 60 with, say, 210 Spell Power for quick math reasons:

Scorch = (233+276+3/7*210)/2 = 299.5 / 1.5 = 199.66 DPS

Frostbolt = (429+464+6/7*210)/2 = 536.5 / 2.5 = 214.6 DPS

And that's without stacks of Imp Scorch, or Incinerate, or Impact, or Ignite taken into account. Once you start factoring those, Scorch is essentially on par with Frostbolt. It's also much better for pressuring healers because they can't top up against quick casts as well.

For the people that say Horde has overpowered racials/racials somehow make a big difference in PvP
Played to r11 on Anathema Horde, r10 on K2 Ally, and now r8 Alliance on Elysium.
Alliance is a much, much better faction than Horde, and Horde racials are overrated in bgs. How will WoTF/orc stun resist protect you against a warrior that is stronger (because of Kings + Might) Harder to kill (Paladins are the best PVP healers by FAR) and unable to be kited (Freedom)?

Time after time again, it is proven that alliance is the superior faction for group play, or even any semblance of team work really. On one side you have an unkillable healer(bubble at BS fight kek), and on the other you have a class that is mediocre at DPS (elemental only becomes good at ZG patch, enhancement is absolute garbage. Don't even start me on that.) and GARBAGE as a PvP healer. Shamans are squishy in healing gear, no escape, no way to disengage if they are charged by a warrior. They have no dispel, and horde in general do not have pug healers/competent healers who will do their job. Let's not forget that their totems can also just be killed, and they leave themselves vulnerable, where as auras are group wide and OP buffs like kings have to be purged (most pug shamans are trash, I would know because I am a shaman main.)

Now for alliance racials:
Night Elf Hunter. By far the best class to flag defend in AB. He can sit shadowmelded with track stealth on and rogues can't do shit if they try to come cap.

Gnome is amazing versus mages, and disengaging when you are hamstringed.

Dwarf priest. Nuff said. Being able to get out of blind, great instant cast self heal, fear ward.

Human is very underrated, you can have a human rogue perception if they have a rogue defending a flag and he will always be able to sap their rogue and cap.

So did I miss anything, or is will of the forsaken really so good when you are going to get mortal striked for all your HP lads?
