does everyone have the feeling that general skill of pro teams gone worse over last couple of years? i feel like every top team nowadays like OG or Liquid or DC or whatever wouldn't had a chance against TI5 EG or TI3 Alliance
did they really become worse?
did dota become so much more complex and there is more opportunities to fuck up and look bad? or it's became so balanced so there is no OP heroes to abuse and look unstoppable?
or is it me gitting gud so i notice mistakes more easily?

I think it's because of the last few patches. Dota was always changing but most things like map locations and basic mechanics remained unchanged for years and that allowed players to properly master the game. Last patches changed too many things too fast and noone has truly mastered the new dota yet.

So what's d2gs opinion on the wonky creep pulls that keep getting patched out? Telekinesis, toss, geomagnetic grip, etc. There are still some that exist in the game (es fissure, flamebreak, can still geo grip in some places).

Should they all be patched out or is this a legit strategy? It's not easy to punish this, even with a roamer, and your mid or safelane getting 50% or more exp denied is pretty much game over.

They're fine, they do their job. The problem is these shrines turn a solo BM gank into a potential 2/3/4/5v1 and splitpushing boars and necro units aren't safe anymore.
If every fight's going to have people tping in from anywhere to reach a fight in seconds then you may as well pick Cent/Slardar/Nyx/Underlord/Abbadon who can fight a lot.
I think this is the reason why Bat's rarely played as well.

Why is this game so fucking boring now

Every game is deathball memepush but without the memeback mechanics.

Every game, you cannot play differently or you just lose. Talent trees make snowballing worse, comeback gold doesn't exist, buyback is still strong. If you farm you will never get the gold in time to get a good item to win a teamfight, and since winning a teamfight is the only way to stop a snowball, the game is won at the draft.

So much variety in heroes and playstyles except there aren't because not deathballing means not winning.

I mean fucking Pudge has a positive winrate in pubs now - the famously trash hero. Being a trash player who fights all the time is now how you win because it is impossible to counter. You cant splitpush, you can't farm, you just watch heroes jump on you and press actives and whoever does it first wins.
