It's arm weapons let it play in certain positions that most other mechs can't, where it's vertical aiming comes into play, like on the cliffs on bog or certain parts of hpg.

And as for killing spurdos, 99% of the time they get murdered by getting cored in it's giant CT which can be hit from every angle.

It's a fat medium mech. That is going to take a serious hit when the "skill" tree drops like the fat diarrhea turd it is.

I run mine with either 2x ERLL 4x ERML, rest in heatsinks and a mk1 TC. Or as 6x ERSL and 2x ERPPC, rest of the tonnage in heatsinks. Then there's the 5x SRM4/ 5x SRM6 and 4x ERSL build. And the 6x MPL build.

Runs all of those adequately.

The game is dramatically different from then. There's tons of mechs running around now, many of which are usable. Weapons have mostly been balanced, so you see all sorts of stuff running around, even flamers and memeguns. Lagshield isn't a thing anymore, there are NA, euro, and very shitty oceanic servers. There's a tutorial and stock mode, and private matches.

Just give it a try if you like it, easier than to explain all the changes.

The inhibitor is in place to prevent the weapon from causing electronic interference to whatever is firing it, you know the whole EMP lightning bolt splash fluff that the PPC is supposed to have. Advanced Tactical Missile works like an SRM, MRM and LRM in one package. In tabletop, you load up different types of ammo for different situations.

Throw on 2x c-ERLL and the ATMs for long range sniping (since you're staring at targets anyway), and a few heavy mediums or heavy smalls and you can use the ATMs a short range deterrent/ finisher weapon.

more than 2 will most likely trigger ghost heat. Heavy Large Lasers in tabletop generate 18 heat and deal 16 damage.

Community suggestion for these was that they behave like flamers. You let them burn as long as you want, but you start generating increasing amounts of heat for every second you go over the limit.

no. an MML fires different missiles. an atm shoots exactly ONLY One thing, atm missiles. atm's are a two stage rocket semi guided missile. warhead and guidance package that is fed info from the launcher to track enemy, and before it is launched the mech pilot has to choose which range profile to use, at shortwer distance they flip a switch and only ONE stage of the rocket's fuel is burnt, leaving the erest of the fuel source to add to the warheads destructiveness. at longer ranges both stages of fuel burns are used to push the missile out far enough to hit the target.

the missile doesn't choose how far it goes, the pilot shooting it does, before they pull the trigger.

Everyday staples you will definitely use:

Light PPC - This is the middleweight filler weapon that sniper mechs currently lack. It's longer ranged than all of the variations on the ML, and even longer ranged than IS LLs and LPLs. This is a godsend to all of the mechs looking to get around the fact that X PPCs is too few, but X+1 PPCs is too many. It's huge in tabletop and will be huge here.
Light engine - It's a Clan XL, only it weighs 75% as much as a standard instead of 50% like an XL. You will run Light engines in everything and like it.
Light Ferro-Fibrous - Not a huge gamechanger but it gives more efficiency options. It's nice to have around.

Heavy PPC - This is a PPC with another half-PPC taped to it. It's another possibility for upgunning a mech that can't fit another PPC but still wants to strap on a little more gun, but that 15 pinpoint damage makes me suspect PGI will nerf it somehow.
Targeting computers - Better filler than a BAP. You already know how these work.
Light Active Probe - Clan streakboats save like half a ton if the range isn't too bad. Clan streakboats are kind of trash though

Heavy lasers - They're incredibly hot, short-ranged, high damage, and inaccurate - contrast with pulse lasers, which are hot, short-ranged, high damage, and accurate. Pubbies are going to love this trash and insist that they're OP because they do SO MUCH DAMAGE but there's really no way to make them balanced, fun, AND good without nerfing their "OP" damage and ruining their whole identity. PGI has already indicated that they're scared of making these good, so they never, ever will be. If any of them are good, it's going to be HSLs, because that's the only niche for a laser that shits out best in class damage but sucks at everything else.
IS Streak SRMs - We already know how PGI is going to make these useless. Nobody uses cSSRMs and those are straight up better statistically.
Light MG - Unless it turns out to be inexplicably better than regular MGs somehow, this is going in the trash.
Rocket Launcher - strictly a gimmick weapon, fights go on much longer in MWO than TT
Snub PPC - This is a brawling weapon that is too goddamned hot for what it does, with a secondary gimmick of doing piddling damage at sniper range. Its tabletop niche of having a huge short targeting range bracket is meaningless in MWO, and it won't displace LPLs.
Laser AMS - This is prohibitively hot in tabletop. PGI isn't likely to fix that, because they think non-laser AMS is good and useful right now.
Light TAG - too short ranged to use on an LRM boat, nobody else wants this trash
ER Micros and Micro PLs - It's like half a small laser, with even worse range. Probably not ever useful.

RAC2 and 5 - It all comes down to DPS, ammo consumption, and jam rates. For the record, these are not super great in TT.
Heavy Gauss Rifles - They do a LOT of damage at short range, at the cost of being suicidally dangerous to use and doing moderate damage at longer ranges (while exhausting their precious ammo). I don't think these will replace AC20s, but they might, depending on how prone to exploding they are and how ammo shakes out. (Remember how good AC20s were, despite the falloff, back when their max range was triple their optimal?)
ATMs - These sound like LRMs that you can brawl with, only they suck as LRMs. I don't have high hopes but this is sufficiently vague that it could land anywhere on the balance scale.
MRMs - These are also garbage in TT, but might be cool as a midrange-ish brawling weapon if the spread isn't too bad. Problem is, the spread is canonically terrible in tabletop so I'm not super hopeful.
Stealth armor - This is going to be great for loving with pubbies, but in canon it's restricted to very, very few mechs and it's hot as balls. It could be a gamechanger as long as it's not too hot and there's a good mech that can fit it and there's no obvious easy counter to it - none of those is a guarantee.

Technically its actually superior in MWO for mechs with many hardpoints because two of them weigh 1 less ton than a real PPC yet they will both hit exactly at the point of aim. The fact that you have to roll to hit twice is the balancing downside on the tabletop, which will not exist here. The most the pig can do is to use ghost heat to limit them so 6 LPPC builds will have to fire in two volleys unlike 3 PPC builds.

Which is a good thing mind you, the LGR is the ugly duckling of the family and it could use some love.

Heavy Pepsi is already very heavy and large so it doesn't need further tweaking. If it has severe downsides like splitting the damage up via splash or lowering the velocity, no one will bother using it.

Since the SNPPC will be competing with the LPL in role I suspect that they will tweak its damage and heat output in a similar manner. The fact that the damage is instant like other PPCs will have to be taken into consideration.

If it does 9.5 heat like the current PPC it could probably make do with 11 damage, same as the LPL. The extra ton could be put towards another heat sink.

Twin MRM-10s, 3 tons of ammo and two light pepsis will fit along with a light engine and stealth armor, but it will probably run really hot depending on how they handle the stealth heat generation. 14 DHS is enough for that kind of build on the tabletop but this is MWO. That build has to drop endo steel to fit. If the left arm armor is cut to near nothing you can stuff in another DHS but then it is liable to be destroyed in that left arm, UNLESS you use a snub nose PPC instead of twin LPPCs then you can fit the last DHS in the right arm.

Another thing to note about stealth armor is that if they follow the rules and place two crits in each body part, that will prevent ammo from being put in the legs. May be a big dealbreaker for many.

The Uziel has nothing to take points from it. It has a good variety of options with the hardpoints it has not to mention jumpjets. Side torso ballistics means it'll make a great ballistic platform, and the arms aren't low slung at all. The only wasted space it has are the missile hardpoints on various variants, but with MRMs the handful of 2M variants might be useful on that front, who knows.

There's really nothing that looks bad about it out of what we know, size could be an issue but who knows. Its hitboxes aren't likely to be too terrible, and with light engines coming massive side torsos won't be such a death sentence. Speaking of which it also has a massive engine cap that further increases it's options.

That's not how it works you know. Front profile is irrelevant when it comes to tanking damage with an XL because anyone decently competent is going to be able to target your sides from the front, no matter how small your side torsos are. Sure if you're getting hit by missiles then it will help spread the damage but if you're playing against someone competent then chances they are not using missiles.

Doesn't mean Zeus shouldn't run XL. It's the speed and large arms that allow it to get away with it. Shame all of its weapons are in the arms.

Technically, only the clans should have access to light and heavy machineguns, as those were initially a clan adaptation that the IS copied later on. So if PGI had any sense, LMG and HMG should be clan only, but since they aren't, HAG should be introduced. Few clan mechs can actually even run HAGs anyway.

There's also the Anti-Personnel Gauss Rifle, introduced in 3069 by Clan Jade Falcon, a rapid firing gauss version of the AC2.

But you have to keep in mind, the FedCom civil war era was a response by the constant bitching nigger spheroid players of old did about clans, and began the eternal slog into the mud for clans at the hands of the grognard whine legions and catalyst fail labs.

What do you mean green scores?

Go the leaderboards, and take a look at your average match score, what is it?

As in a green arrow. I remember hearing somewhere that as long as you score 250+, you should be getting positive results.

Tier movements are based on matchscore, and whether the game was a win or a loss. I think it indicates when you get a psr move somewhere on the end of match screen as well. The movements are typically very small. It can take hundreds if not thousands of matches to change tiers.

I've been playing about 6 weeks and what it seems to be to me so far is that you only go up with you score more than 200 points and your team wins. If the team wins and you score less than 200 then you get an = instead. Likewise for a Loss, if you do more than 200 you get an = and if you score less than 200 you go down.
