Engine update, don't like the fact how everything inside that part of the vehicle is made out of background walls but I don't know how else to make it... suggestions?

Well, i think part of it is that (in my opinion) the background walls between the fuel tanks and the outer hull are too dark- its hard to tell where they end and the tanks start. Maybe paint them a different color, or use a different wall. Theres a lot of one pattern going on, which I think is the issue, between the tanks, walls, and outer shell.

On an unrelated note, here is an update for my trade outpost.

That's exactly it but I can't figure out how to fix it because there's nothing to put gemsparks behind.

It's actually better when I paint more of the background straight up black, but then I end up with the entire back half of the vehicle looking like a huge black hole.

I think I fucked myself with the whole "everything must have gemsparks behind it so that it's visible in the dark" thing, I do that stupid shit on everything.

I don't know what you're planning to put inside, but I would do this: the left counter is for the guy that deals with the cargo and such, and add a right counter to deal with the customers picking up their packages or buying stuff, and put some shelves with unpackaged goods and small packages in the middle. Like a combination of a gift shop and post office.

I haven't beaten it in any way, not once.
I usually stop after WoF for some reason, then start over again after a few days. I've killed Plantera once, and i'm not sure if i got around to killing Golem or not. I haven't touched the events.

Early game is just so comfy, man.

You could technically actuate all the stuff that's below water so that the water goes into the foreground, but then the stuff behind it becomes very dark and you have to fiddle with lighting and whatnot, it's a bit annoying to get it just right.

Yeah, someone posted about it in his thread. Depleting a stack of items, particularly placeables, locks up mouse controls. He's aware of it now but recommended disabling it since he won't be able to work on it soon.

Was hoping it'd make Expert mode a bit easier since I can't stand some stages of the game with it in vanilla, oh well.

Well, maybe the first step could be to compile a list of stuff we'd LIKE to be changed and then maybe some anons with C# experience might be interested in tackling them.

Here's a few I have to start:

>Easy
Remove light given off by teleporters
Remove the light particles that spawn when someone uses a teleporter

>Moderate
Right-clicking any light source will turn it on or off, barring normal torches - that way you don't have to wire it up and attach a switch etc etc

>Hard
Minecarts now adjust angle based on their trajectory (might not even be possible, I have no clue)

Angler system completely revamped. He now sells things based on how many fishing quests you've completed. Useful stuff like the cell phone components could be at 30 quests. The highest tier of stuff could be at like 50 quests I guess.

I always organize my storage areas, and there's even a mod now that allows you to search for your items now, making it default would be nice though.

Can you see, on the vertical pipes in the middle of the engine, the two pieces on their bottom sides that are different?

How the fuck did I do that? Does anyone know? I remember hammering them and they just turned into those neat looking different pieces at some point, and it was all made out of the same palladium column.

If there's anyone still awake, can I get a critique of the upper plane of the vehicle, I have from left to right: 3 turrets (one is flying off), escape hatch, engine, and furnace.

I think it looks shitty and wrong, and I've changed the position of hatch and engine like 3 times already, but I have no idea what to do with it. I was thinking of raising the level of something, but I don't know what, or I can just do different spacing or something.

Thorium seems the most balanced to vanilla content and quality. Makes Throwing viable. Would recommend.
I didn't like Tremor before, lots of poor sprites and it threw too many useless items at you. It did update recently however and the new content seems sizable.
I only just added Calamity but it doesn't seem to leave much of a footprint outside of its bosses, which is fine by me. Better than having two or three mods adding a ton of pre-hardmode gear.

Tons of minor mods worth adding too, WeaponOut, Prefixes for Enemies, Helpful Hotkeys.

Thorium is nice, there is a healer set if one of you wants to play support. It adds bosses and isn't too demanding, but it's new biome isn't multiplayer friendly. Blog update, I'm at this point now, completely scrapped the nice tank idea you can see above.

Any advice on how to transition from the normal green plating to the grey boiler/chimney thing? That structure looks much better in grey so I'd like to leave it that way, but I'm not quite sure where to draw the line between that and normal plating and how.

Only the row between the copper and the upper grey wall row is empty, the entire lower row is filled by alternating gemspark/copper walls. If I fill the upper row I don't get the neat wall border. I'll live with the holes I guess.
