I wonder what kind of open world game Gust could have done if they were give 3 years of development time. Haven't seen any interviews for Firis but I remember that one of the inspirations in the Dusk series was Fallout series. Have to wonder if open world is something they really wanted to do but really can't make since they have to yearly ship one Atelier game.

I hated Firis at first but it's growing on me, Vitagen.

It's good overall, and it has a new boss which makes it worth playing for that alone. But the character is a little bit too small on the screen, the new artstyle isn't as cute as the original, and you have the ability to walk to the right from the beginning of the game, which is pretty lame.

But overall it's really cool to have the game on the vita, and it's still my favorite metroidvania of all time. So especially with the new content, I can't not recommend it.

I have hotline miami 2 and I'm trying to unlock all thropies but it seems I can't unlock one in which I need to use all weapons in the game. Looking for info I found it happened to a lot of people and a way to solve it is to erase the save and start again. I wouldn't mind to do It except that I'm also trying to unlock another achievement where I have to grind a lot of kills but I don't know if erasing the save would reset the counter and I'd have to start again. If I erase the save, the advancement towards an achievement is generally saved, lost or is it game dependent?

Freedom Wars could have been so fucking good if it was just an action TPS instead of a hunting game.

It would allow for actual level design, and players would be able to do cool shit with the thorn like beat levels without ever touching the ground. God knows there's already enough enemy types, so just compress it all into a 1-3 hour game (that takes a hundred tries to beat) and it could have been the best thing of all time.

Oh, that green demon in the ruins? That was some really weird shit, especially the erratic movement.

Anyway if you're having a hard time dealing with the red demon you won't be able to do anything against the green one.

Also remember that demons counters certain actions. I don't remember what color counters what actions though, but I remember some that counters any non-item healing skills.

I played in Hard mode and I decided to just skip it for after the license. Probably doable in first year but might require stuff you get later on, and I didn't want to backtrack so I just left it alone.

The problem is the non-item healing counter, which means you need to use your items for healing quite often, but you still don't have any automatic resupply so you'll end up wasting time making a bunch of healing items just for that ruin.

Yup, sounds like I'll be visiting those ruins and coming back after the license. Same for some quest that I have back from the first open area, there's some forest that needs plant nutrients, but I'm not backtracking that much just for that.

Also playing on hard mode, in the second area that puma wasn't too bad. Enjoyed that battle though since I still don't have particularly great stuff.

Sophie is a bit different from the earlier ones as there aren't time limit. If I were you I would just continue to Firis since it's the second game in the Mysterious series and continues the story. You can buy other ones once they go on sales.

I'm having some difficulties grasping the Valkyrie drive combat system. What's the difference between a normal circle + circle 'high time' and a circle + the charge with the x button? also am I not supposed to mash the buttons? Also why is that the triangle button on some characters has only charged attacks and not fast one?
Anyway is only me or the audio in battles feel more compressed than in normal dialogues? Isn't there a patch or dlcs for the voices?

The other ones are a bit different but I'd definitely recommend you give them a try. They usually go on sale around Golden Week which is the end of April so I'd say wait until then if you can to pick them up.

Sorry, I don't really remember the exacts of the battle system anymore as it has been some months from the last time I seriously played it. But I can try to offer something. Don't mash buttons, though certain characters do have certain attacks that do require mashing. Check the move list for more info, it's actually helpful thing. Though none of the moves are especially hard to remember once you've played them a little.

I don't really get your question here, that's because they're different characters and so they act differently? Manpukumaru has the most useless, look forward to that.

Do the best medals for every mission and then start to do one certain mission where you fight all the teachers. That's how most people did it I think. Personally I didn't bother with the plat.

You can tell because there are mission types that suit PvP like Abductor escort, civilian capturing and invasions. Some weapons are designed for PvP too, like the grenade launcher.

Not totally Vita related, but Fategen is the best Vitagen so:
I'm 40% through Hollow Ataraxia. I still donno wtf is going on but I''m having lots of fun. Sakura had a nice growth and really is even more hot waifu matherial, she's simply adorable. Also the part when Saber interacts with the kids at the soccer match was simply great and made me all warm inside. Archer Vs Saber was totally great, I can't believe how well they delivered that fight only using sound effects and cg stills. Also Taiga quizzes, Ber-ser-car and a lot of stupid things were glorious.
Fucking great, can't wait to read more.

This game is fucking awesome. I've always loved games where you just ram your player character into shit to kill it, and this is a great example of that, also being a racing game. Nice sense of speed, lots of stuff to blow up, and a dumb 90s anime aesthetic to top it all off.

Recommended for people interested in Japanese PS1 games.

Not really, Odin Sphere has inventory management and the special attacks aren't tied to weapons so combo capabilities are much larger. Leifdrasir is basically a straight upgrade over the muramasa gameplay.
