The "Sure she dies to WTD" is important because every fucking other powerful unit is red. Lyn, Lucina, Eirika, Loli Tiki, Chrom, Eldigan, Leo (sorta), and Tharja, just to list the most common ones. And they are common, because they've all been focus characters at some point, some twice. Additionally, there are more red units than other units of any single type.

And you're still assuming Skill Inheritance works the way you want it to. I'd put any planning off until they announce for certain how it'll work.

I'm really hating the guy who published that video. Now that any retard can get a 4* Ursula the sense of achievement is gone and there's no way to distinguish skilled players from scrubs. When I beat the map on my first try with random units like Camilla and Hector (my only 2*s since I started the game btw) I felt accomplished because I knew I was in the elite who could strategize enough to win, but at this point they might as well give everyone a free Ursula.
I really hope IS makes future gauntlets harder so you can't just cheese it with shitty 3* units like Tsubaki and have to invest feathers or orbs into actually useful units to win, or there's no point in ever rolling for good units. And that way only the skilled players will be able to get characters like Zephiel, who looks to be top tier and if he was just given out like Ursula would become absolute cancer.

First, get them to level 20.
Then go to Allies -> Advanced Growth -> Unlock Potential
You'll need some badges and feathers to promote your unit. 20 badges and 2000 feathers from 3* to 4*, 20 great badges and 20000 feathers from 4* to 5*. The badges have to be the same color as your unit (red, blue, green, or white).

They meant for arena, pretty much every good training tower team has a healer, especially for the lower levels since they get their exp from healing and can use their higher stats down there to act as meat shields in a pinch, and soften shit up with their pathetic attack power so other specific units can kill things.

That said having a +1 Lachesis as my only reliable bonus unit has been suffering, at least if skill inherit was out I could maybe put some useful stuff on her like Rehabilitate, Slow or Gravity.
