I teched in a single Atomy in my Aggroish Midrange Shadow deck and he's actually been working really well considering I have 3 Howls and Resentments plus a lot of last word followers and Bone Chimeras due to having Reapers.

I wonder if Elta Atomy decks will be a thing as he's fuckhuge and nearly impossible to deal with if you get him out early. Elta being on board also means he cuts out any fanfare options that could possibly deal with Atomy as well.

It's a recent change, but it's better than 50% at AA which is where I am.

The Atomy is simply a chance play if I end up drawing him as more than one is horrific bricking potential.

The Tyrant is an out in control games which go on so long I get 20 shadows. It's happened more than once, but I haven't been lucky enough to topdeck him the majority of times it's happened. He's still not bad as card itself though since he's 3 damage storm otherwise. The Ethereal Form isn't bad either as a random +2 out of nowhere as well.

The combination of all these single tech in win conditions though culminates in normal bricking chance.

I've recently had a game where Atomy, Tyrant, Ethereal Form, Cerberus and Cursed Soldier were all in my hand the first 3 turns while not drawing any 1 or 2 drops. Though that's just card games.

That's the best use for her I feel like. In a Sun deck you don't necessarily have to attack with her and she's a basically a powered up Ancient Elf for 3 cost. I don't see her being that useful for Storm since you're already taking a lot of hits early against aggro decks and she doesn't combo with the rest of the deck like amulets.

Fuck evolve. The mechanic was cool in standard but every expansion it gets more and more obnoxious as they print more and more cards that benefit way too fucking much from evolves. I think evolve is the root of this game's problems more than anything else, they did not do a good job of designing around their central mechanic.

Take 1 attack off of every Storm evolve and it's fine imo. The biggest design oversight is that Storm followers get full evolve stats in addition to essentially getting "deal 2 more damage to the enemy" as an effect.

Aggro blood has like a +9% win increase when going first, shadow has around +4% and sword ends up near even winrates going 1st or 2nd as aggro.

Initial tempo advantage is huge as a deck that wants to swing face every turn. And if you're playing control you especially want to go first against aggro blood and aggro shadow so they can't run you over. Sword is the only aggro deck where it doesn't seem to matter because they have strong turn 4 evolves like floral fencer, plus extra evolutions for Albert.

Isn't this card pretty insane? If you trade your follower with some ward and both dies she will turn into 6/6 7PP storm. At least she will be 5/6 storm most of the time. I'm not sure if Aggrobats will use her since she's 7pp but trading your board to big ward like Aurelia will gives this card lots of attack that will finish the game for you.

You do not want to get hit in the face a million times before you can fight back on turn 4. Going first allows you to put them on the defensive or even prevent them from having board presence until turn 4. If you keep them off the board entirely then they have to use their evolution to trade which means they lose out on face damage.

Go look at the win-rates of shadow and blood versus control decks when they go first or second. In some cases they literally drop 15% winrate when they can't go first. This I must always go 2nd to win is literally all in your head. Not every deck in the game wants to go 2nd.

Started playing this today out of boredom and I have to say that its pretty fun.
Some stupid, typical yet archaic design choices here and there that are common in most lower budget jap games, but other than that. Its alright.

Changing the voices into Japanese was a bit of a hassle too, but at least it could be done. The English voice acting was SO fucking bad. It made my ears bleed.
