What you have to do is activate one of your TDs, get your third one, switcheroo one of the two TDs you have in hand and use its effect again.

the point of Switcheroo is thinning your deck while ncreasing the chance of getting valuable cards on hand. Having to waste one of your switcheroos into shuffling back one of your dead Thunder Dragons is one of the reasons it's not really worth it. It's high risk, high reward, and on everything else other than Switcheroo is shit.

I'm not stupid, I've already played YuGioh for about 7 years. You can reduce the damage of opening anything more than 1 copy of Thunder Dragon, but the ideal hand is always 1 Thunder Dragon and not any higher number.

You're supposed to discard for 2 Thunder Dragons, reducing your deck size to 14. Then switch one of the Thunder Dragons with one card in deck and discard the second Thunder Dragon for the remaining one. This way you guarantee a 5 card hand turn 1 with the dead Thunder Dragon acting like a blank card a la Upstart. You want a 17 card deck. Opening anything higher than 1 Thunder Dragon means your deck is now 18 or 19 cards.

Drawing only 1 of your TDs to activate its effect twice (i.e., what you'd normally do in regular ygo) gives you only a +1.

I mean if you only had one copy of Heart of the Underdogs and managed to draw it first turn, you could theoretically mill through most of your deck. The only thing that'd stop you is if you drew the Exodia body before getting the rest of his parts, at which point the underdog streak ends and you have to wait another turn to start drawing again and win. You could totally stall with some normal monsters in defense in that situation, but it all relies on actually drawing your Heart of the Underdogs early in the duel. You could add more copies of Underdog for a higher chance of getting it in your hand, but then they also have a chance of interrupting your chain.

It's just that its bloated. There are very concise magic the gathering effects that are actually incredibly complicated. YGO just has a bunch of effects that are really simple but stacked on top of each other.

I'm up to stage 18 and NPCs are starting to beat me often, especially the union deck NPC that always draws freezing beast + 500 ATK equip card.

You can no longer play Extra Deck Monsters in the Normal Monster Zones.
Link Monsters have arrows that point to Normal Monster Zones which make them into more Extra Monster Zones.

The point is to slow the game down, but it probably won't do that much since any deck that can shit out monsters isn't going to have any trouble making Link Monsters. It might level the playing field for decks that don't spam ED monsters, like DM, but we won't know until the end of the month when the Starter Deck releases in Japan.

Just started playing today. How many boxes have I missed out on and how fucked am I if I don't want to spend money? I've got a nostalgia boner like diamonds after playing today but I also know the faults of mobile games and TCGs so I'm skeptical that the magic will last.

The game has only been up for a couple of months so you haven't missed any boxes but you have missed a couple of events that gave certain cards that you won't be able to get until they come round again
They've also been generous as fuck so far (incredibly suspiciously for Konami) in giving out free gifts and making events with lots of rewards so you've missed out on those so far I guess but it looks like they're keeping it up for the time being and most people are pretty optimistic about the game's future

What Deck should i make next if i have just finnished the cerberus deck. I dont mind farming LD but Pack gambling is a pain in the ass imo. So far ive only bought Ultimate Rising Packs
