http://emulation.gametechwiki.com/index.php/Main_Page

Read the General problems FAQ before asking questions. If you still need help, post your specs (speccy screenshot), OS, emulator version number and details of what's wrong.

Please contribute to the wiki if you discover any inaccuracies or have relevant information to append.

READ THE WIKI BEFORE ASKING QUESTIONS LIKE:
>Where do I get games
OR
>What is the best emulator for...

Check out the wiki for the emulator you're using if you run into trouble, there may be a solution there too, often including recommendations for optimal game settings.

Remember to submit bug reports or shit won't get fixed.

ZOE2 is a fucking bitch to run
With your specs you should be able to get almost fullspeed all the time outside of cutscenes at 2x res and some drops in places at 4x using the OGL plugin,
SW mode is a no go unless you've got a [email protected] or some crazy shit

Cutscenes are way worse for some reason and even a 1080 won't get you fullspeed everywhere in those at 4x

>>
>>170634830

$150 for bounties each month.

Dunno what you are not understanding about this, this was exactly how it was described in the original goal.

Ask Cemu devs how much of that $6K money they are actually spending on anything worthwhile. A lot of money is directly being put back in each month. The new buildbot alone costs another additional $150 each month. The money goes out as soon as it goes in. You are being very unreasonable and just shitstirring at this point.

You missed at least two months. January, February, maybe half of December.

And it is $275 for bounties each month. Goals from $75 to $150 and $550 to $750.

Patrons paid over $600 for those bounties so far. They pay $275 monthly for them. And you want to pay only $150 monthly from that pool. Where is rest?

>$150 – reached! per month
>We will set monthly bounties for core-related work which anybody will be able to claim!

>Bi-monthly bounties placed for cores and RetroArch so that we can make major progress!

no, of course not
>>
>>170637513

Nope, it will be $150 for bounties.

You have reading comprehension problems.

Rad it again. $650 - bounties would be placed once every two months. $750 - bounty money would be put in every month.

That's what it has always meant. So that means $150 will be put in per month, if the cap had still been $650, it would have been once every two months.

There is already $150 going out each month for the buildbot server, another $150 for bounties, that is already $300 each month on top of additional duties like hosting costs, etc, which are not even factored in.

There's also projects like an FPGA project being worked on, etc. Ergo, a lot of activity, and you really have zero room to complain. All promises have been fulfilled and you should honestly STFU and go fry some bigger fish like cemu. See what THEY are doing with that $10K, go bitch about that, or STFU.

TLDR - barely any money is left at the end of the day when you look at it, and ultimately, you are likely somebody who doesn't even put in $1 pledge so it's not like you are owed any explanation anyway.

I can't wait till the wonderful 101 works on cemu, and works at 60fps on cemu.

The game is such a cocktease, the challenge areas and loading screens run at 60fps, but the gameplay runs bettween 25-50 fps

replaying bayonetta 2 at actual 60fps (though with annoying loading stutters) is pretty mindblowing, but that game never really dropped below 40. The wonderful 101 spends entire boss battles well below the 30fps mark.
>>
>>170641728
No, the console will always play the game better. That's how emulation works, the emulator strives to play as well as the console.

Until perfect Wii U emulation comes to be in 50 years, the console will always be the better way to play.
The emulator may become acceptable in a few months, but it will never surpass the console.

Fuck me, I should pay to know how 'open source' people spent money given them in kickstarter scheme. Where gone some open source openness? Ah, gone with patrons money.

So your response is that from $866 per month, you will only give $150 back, even if goals for them total to $275?
And that all money form previous months, which should go for bounties, vanished? 600 bucks just vanished?

>All promises have been fulfilled and you should honestly STFU

Man, you started bounties four months late, you have monthly $125 tax on them, bounty money from previous months was evidently embezzlement and this one is still not fulfilled:

>$550 – reached! per month

>>
>>170658223

PS1 emulation got "good enough" around 2006 and nevre improved for a decade.

Ninty consoles post N64 are simple and straight forward, and have dedicated fanboy nerds to work on them. Pretty simple.

>>
>>170658189
rpx is all the files extracted, while wud is the disc image, right? If a game has a million files, it has to seek all around your filesystem to find them in extracted form, while it only seeks within one file with wud. Don't know if that would have any noticeable speed difference, though.

But even the consoles that came earlier than the N64 got actually good emulation before the PS1. And I'd argue that the PS1 is more popular than the NES and SNES combined.
But then again maybe the fact that literally everyone and their mothers had modchipped PS1s put programmers off from making a decent emu until MEDNAFEN/PCSXRearmed?
>>
>>170657270

That would actually make sense...he did some work already. The 64bit hash and HWID changed, yet again. With yet more obfuscation and useless maths.

I found it less REEEEEing to actually follow CPY's approach and use a script I did to follow some patterns I found in the Exzap DRM to just blast some holes. Ideally with all the different builds I now collected, I can come with a generic byte search and replace pattern so that noobs can use that.

I am using the leaked 4chan 1.7.3 build by someone else, which was uncracked, for reference.

I don't have BOTW to test this stuff with. Ideally I would spend more time researching what they did, but I took the CPY way out and shot some holes so the old method would still work.

Didn't compile the code as a loader so you may need to run the kg every few hours and the kg doesnt do memory patching, it is hard patched so you must use some bps patcher like floating ips. I really should get a move on with the memory patching framework that would come in handy for things with VMProtect or Steam. Yes, you can. You still have to get the dependencies however. That's why I've linked the page.
Unless the binary is statically linked (which I doubt it is).
Having installed the necessary 32-bit libraries, you can run (and compile) PCSX2 on a 64-bit GNU/Linux system.

What distro are you on? For Debian-based distros (Ubuntu, Linux Mint and so on) and Arch Linux, you can follow the Ubuntu or Arch Linux instructions on the PCSX2 wiki respectively.
Gentoo provides ebuilds for PCSX2 (games-emulation/pcsx2).
Don't know about any other distros, though.
What distro are you even on? Perhaps there's a solution already made for yours.

Well, it doesn't have to be a 32-bit Debian actually. It can be any 32-bit distro you like Gentoo since it already offers stage3 tarballs ready to use for all architectures.
Just figured that Debian would be the best since you know it already but looking through their website, they only offer tarballs for each package individually which would be a PITA to assemble all files (also to figure out what files are necessary).

If his CPU were to not support the x86 instruction set (IA64 CPUs for example), he wouldn't be able to compile PCSX2 without a cross-compiler but even then he wouldn't be able to run it.

I mean, awesome work and props to the devs. But I couldn't give a fuck about any of the Souls games. I'm far more excited about P5.
>>
>>170726671
If there is an emulator that can run Demon's Souls then that emulator can run anything in the PS3 library you fucking imbecile.
>>
I look forward to being able to play demon's souls at a stable framerate in a year or so's time.
Seems like the team are really getting their act together.

At this rate, emulation will soon be conquered for all consoles up to gen 7 except Xbox and N64.

I mean, I'd certainly count it as one of the major PS3 exclusives not available on any other platform. Really in my mind, hope for PS3 emulation is striving to be able to play a few big games:
>MGS4 & MGS HD Collection
>RDR (since 360 emulation is effectively non-existent)
>DeS
>maybe Killzone 2 and Resistance 3?

Others might be Drag-On Dragoon 3, NieR Replicant, and Catherine, but these are more niche.

You're clearly retarded if you don't see how big of an advancement this is.
Just because /you/ personally don't care about DS doesn't mean no one else does, nor that anyone else cares about the frankly insane amount of progress the emulator has made in a incredibly short time.

Don't like it? Don't use the emulator. Go be a mopey fuck somewhere else.
>>
>>170728481
I admit I'm not very familiar with it, but doesn't it not run on RPCS3 at all? I can't imagine Xenia plays it at full speed either.
>>
>>170727749
While what he said isn't entirely true, there's some truth in it. The re-writes required to get Dark Souls working have made other games like Persona 5 run 10 times faster, Catherine runs at a much more consistent framerate, Dark Souls does use a number of hardware specific tricks. The emulator being able to properly emulate it means the emulator can properly emulate a lot of other stuff too.
>>
>>170730029
RPCS3 just got it to boot the intro splash screens IIRC. Xenia can go in-game, at fullspeed, but with massive graphical glitches and physics bugs.

I'm still surprised at how those consoles (PS3,WiiU) got somewhat emulated ahead of original Xbox and Xbox 360.

My device is a Samsung Galaxy Win Duos, not great but not that bad either. That's the bleeding edge versions for ya; they tend to get strange errors 'cause they contain features and changes that haven't been fully tested yet.

Nightly builds only contain tested changes, so those should not have errors due to changes found in the bleeding edge builds (though they might still have preexisting errors from bugs that are still being worked on!).

If you wanna mess with things on a academic level, the original uncracked exe with the x64dbg patch db is there. Otherwise, there is a clearly labeled cracked version.

The crack is super dumb in how it works, but it seems to work for some people, so what the heck. Doing more work to the keygen would mean doing more repetitive ASM code splicing as Exzap seemed to have doubled the amount of obfuscation around the relevant DRM parts.

Emulators are 100% legal. Back then Sony sued Bleem due to shit like using game screenshots to showcase its accuracy, and they literally were ripped a new asshole in court as a result. They got an injunction that stopped the program from being sold, dealing damage to the devs, but that just isn't possible here by the nature of cemu.

Sleep tight anon. Also get fucked
>>
>>170640675
Know that but it feels excessive. I mean I just had it go down from 100% to 30% in one day just being plugged in and off. Unless my battery is just complete shit at this point it seems like some kind of weird wake locking is going on, due to faulty Windows drivers or something.

Also pretty sure I've left it unplugged for months and come back to find it at 60%~ so I don't think that level of drain is normal...

>>
>>170812510
You should be able to run Mario Kart Wii at full speed now too
To answer your question, CEMU doesn't seem to be as CPU dependent as other emulators. That or its missing a lot of effects/not properly emulating them.
>>
>>170812558
Tropical Freeze uses a lot of textures and pre-rendered video.

Breath of the Wild, for the most part, relies on in-engine cutscenes and a surprising amount of the models are either using simple textures with few colors or are colored without textures.

>>170812719

>Breath of the Wild, for the most part, relies on in-engine cutscenes and a surprising amount of the models are either using simple textures with few colors or are colored without textures.
So maybe there's a graphics performance/program size advantage of some kind when using that cel-shading art style?
>>
>>170812797
>Oh, I am. But MK8 is just such a drastically better looking game, I'm amazed I can run it at all.
People could run Ocarina of time on their 200MHZ pentiums back in the day. The low system requirement is the result of early hacky emulation which Cemu seems to be doing.
>>
>>170812953
Its size is still more than Skyrim and it performs worse than BamHam

Hows ps3 emulation now days?
>>
>>170813973
Pretty good with the latest release.

Some games have color problems but fully playable.
Some games need unpacking but people doing youtube videos are kind enough to do them for you and just need to download them.

Different games, different settings, so I have multiple amounts of emulators even if they are of the same version
