is any competitive game fun before you learn how to be decent? i have 1k hours on 1.6, and almost 2k on csgo and i can tell you that i did not have fun in 1.6 until i figured out how to actually play the game

when you start playing a new game you want to get decent at, the fun shouldnt be winning, the fun should be the improvement , you make small goals to achieve, even if that goal is to "successfully do 5 fireball inputs before the match is over" or "successfully land that combo ive been practicing at least 5 times"

either way, learning special inputs should be easy, just do them over and over until you build the muscle memory, remember, it should be one fluid motion when inputting directions

Did you have fun with SC2 initially? I didn't play BW, save for customs, and only started serious in wings. Learning that game was hell for me and only did so because it was the "in-thing" among my friends. 10 minutes of prep just to see my army get destroyed wasn't very fun. I enjoyed it seasons down when I was fighting for gm, but not initially. I grew up with access to arcades, I didn't use a computer/mouse until I was in my later teens so maybe I have some bias, but fighters isn't that steep of a learning curve.

- 30 fps on consoles, 60 fps on pc
- game only has 12 characters and it has awful character variety compared to other fighting games that launched with a similar number of characters, such as Blazblue and Skullgirls.
- no training mode
- no replays
- it's an online only game and it somehow manages to have shit online
- game feels like shit to play because they tried to make almost every move in the game reactable.
- parrying makes it so you can't really attack at all because your opponent can just parry your attack on reaction and then parrying makes your move unsafe
- throws are shit because they're techable on reaction, hits beat throws, and throw techs can ring out
- regenerating health in a game that's already ridiculously defensive
- it's a game where blocking has startup frames and they tried to balance the characters by giving them different amounts of startup frames on their block switching
- zone attacks tell you the wrong way to block them at first because of how they are inputted
- stages are ridiculously big in 1v1 and the game doesn't give the player any incentive to not turtle and wait for their opponent to come to them. if one player wants to fight next to a ring out and their opponent wants to be a pussy and refuses to fight next to a ring out, there is no way to stop this.
- 5 minute round times are retarded
- life leads don't matter at all. if the round goes to a time out, it counts as a draw even if 1 player has more health than their opponent.
- your character's moves can get caught on walls and other objects in the environment, which limits the amount of moves you have available to you at times and limits the amount of ways that you can try to mixup your opponent
- having your opponent rage quit on you forces you to fight against a bot instead of just giving you a win

If you are talking about Seifuku Akiha then don't bother with H, forget it even exists. It's a garbage meme moon. F-Sei is super easy but pretty bad. C-Sei is top tier but needs you to be able to land corner to corner combos. They aren't super hard but it's the hardest moon to play but still a mid tier difficulty character.

You can beta a lot of people without them, but I think that the difference between being able to do them from every starter and not is pretty big and makes a real difference if you were to play her seriously.
