When you think about it though, it would solve several balance problems that Bungie has been wrestling with since launch that they can't seem to get a handle on. Both HCs and Fusions have been contentious balance points, constantly subject to nerfs and buffs. Ultimately they've settled on trying to balance them by just making them really inconsistent (accuracy, spread, bloom), which just makes for frustrating gameplay.

Making HCs specials would allow them to go back to Y1 levels of power when they felt great, and making Fusions heavies would tap their full potential and remove the need to balance a flexible mid-range instant kill weapon while Bungie vainly tries to keep them still usable. Sidearms also make no sense, why would a god-killing space paladin defending the human race from invading xenos choose a dinky little pistol as his weapon? Maybe keep the exotic sidearms though, those are kind of cool.

It would also create a perfect range trifecta in each weapon slot: Auto, Pulse, Scout - Close, Mid, Long; and Shotgun, HC, Sniper - Close, Mid, Long.

Plus, who doesn't want to carry a rifle and a revolver? Why must I choose?

The Eliksni had a mighty empire much like the Arabs of our history. Complete with lots of tech, niceties, and the backing of The Traveler. Now they are nomadic, tribal, and extremist in their ways because The Traveler used them for its own gain against the Hive/Darkness. Not meddling, not picking and prying, not malice, but genuine good intent. Your ghost has an admiration for Rasputin, despite being the creation of The Traveler getting the long dick of Rasputin law. Allegedly. Which means your personal Ghost maybe has no knowledge or orders of The Travelers shrouded intent. Where other ghosts and guardians have been obliterated by Rasputin, you and yours would surely have suffered the same fate at some point in your journey if Rasputin sensed you are a threat.

My brief time with Destiny has been a roller coaster of maybe-I-like-it-maybe-I-hate-it but I think overall I have a pretty negative impression of the game.

My only exotics are bought from Xur because I've never seen an exotic engram.

I've also had to use the same shitty guns all this time because all I find is garbage. I fucking hate autorifles but I've had to use the Extremophile because it's literally all I can find with a decent roll.

It's a waste of my fucking time to drop ten minutes on a blowout crucible match to get two motes of light or some shitty 365 blue (that I then have to waste more time sharding). I'm drowning in currency because there's nothing to do with it, I wish I could buy actual good shit as a form of bad luck protection (just give me a little money after a loss and after a week of bad luck I can buy SOMETHING, anything nice that's all I ask) but no, it all goes to waste.

I think I've given the game a fair shake, I got to 385LL and rank 5 in the last Iron Banner. But at this point there is just no reward for what I am doing.

Because I understand how to play the game. Losing is never fun, so I don't take Crucible seriously at all. Just take it easy. I also understand that playing any game constantly for months leads to burnout, so I take a break for a while, come back, and have more fun when I feel like I can.

This general is somewhat hostile to new players usually, and you also picked the deadest time of the year to play. January to March is always very slow. That's part of why you're getting stomped in Crucible, only the tryhards play during this slow period.

Not what I'm playing, m8. Traveler uplifted Elinski, which is Judaism splitting off into Islam. When the Traveler left, they went feral, which is similar to when Islam split, it went insane. Traveler goes to Earth, enlightens Humans. Judaism splits again with Jesus, creates Christianity, and goes into Europe with the Fall of Rome.

Christianity's inherent pacifism are similar to Traveler's peaceful ways, and set up humans to get fucked by the Darkness. Those nature denying qualities the Traveler instills are the key here, as life IS struggle, and you will have to fight/work/struggle to keep yourself alive.

Rasputin realizes the folly of this, and knows the Traveler is gonna try and pull some shit, so his pragmatism is what ultimately saves humanity, where the Traveler would leave us to be consumed while it flees for better pastures.

I try not to take it seriously. It's not losing that upsets me, it's two things:

1) Feel like I can't hardly play. Just get stomped constantly. Regardless of whether my team wins or loses I'm usually just fodder in the match and that's just not really fun.

2) No rewards. Mediocre loot should be a salve to ease the bad luck and truly great loot should be reserved for winners. I would be fine with that. Instead the booby prize it just literally worthless.

I think Destiny has a fun core but if there is no reward to get you out of the unfun part then what's the point? Like I keep hoping I'll get a really dank pulse rifle or Mida drop but I seem to be SOL.

Also I think a no supers, no specials no heavies PvP mode would be cool, better than inferno at least.
