For how wonderful Abel is, and he is wonderful, Reinhardt takes his spot now. Reinhardt can now hit absolutely everything with 1 space extra of range, is magic, buffs +4 Atk/Spd from a distance (stacks with Gunter) and IS ALSO a brave weapon.

As for what to put on him, you'll have to look at C Skills on other cavalry units.
If limited to just Cav Lancers at worst (Camus, Jagen, Peri, Sully). If so, Threaten Def 3 (-5 Def at start of battle aginst foes 2 spaces away) from Peri is the CLEAR choice. If you don't want another lancer but want the buffs, you can take Jagen's Fortify Cavalry, though.

Lucina is a jack of all trades, master of none. There are better options for killing dragons, hit and runs, and doubling the shit out of mages, and some of them don't go down in 2 hits from both physical AND magic attacks, but she has high enough attack to generally finish off most reds or greens softened up by a ranged attacker beforehand and won't get doubled by most things that don't have a +spd IV.

The worst part is most of those things are wasted on her. She goes down way before regen ever becomes useful unless you're on a team with good reposition support, blue dragons STILL blow her up, and any ranged attacker will put her into a position for a good melee to finish her off(if it fails to kill her outright in the first place). Also between killing fast and dying fast all her specials are garbage, if skill inherit gets her Galeforce and Desperation and she'll be an absolute monster though thanks to actually being able to use Defiant Speed and her absurd attack.

Now that the winners of round one are pretty much settled, I heard people are sabotaging their own teammates by sticking crappy units as their lead so they can't win their matches, meaning that the snail crawl of single matches can separate someone in the ranks. (Basically, you still win your matches, you screw your teammates. You score higher, they score lower.)
