I like using muzzle brake+acog on his l85,
As for using him, always volunteer to open hatches for your team since it's so much quieter than Buck or Breaching charges, which can give you an extra second of surprise on anyone in the room underneath the hatch.
Mostly try to create entry close to the edge of the buidling, or further away from the objectives so you can make the most of how quiet your hammer is. You don't have to follow your team around breaching everything for them, but it's best to make a few lines of sight and entry points for your team before you fuck off and start flanking on your own. Just watch out for Caveiras; if you know the enemy team has one, don't move in alone like you might do otherwise.

If you're holding tight spots on places like the cubicle area in Consulate. I used to really like shotguns in this game but you more often are pulled into areas where they can't beat a rifle or SMG.

Honestly, ever since the autoshotty nerf, I have a really hard time justifying the use of shotguns, unless I'm playing an op whose other primaries are utter garbage, like Caveira or Frost.
They're good for holding windows and dropping down through trapdoors to surprise your enemy, but most are smart enough to drone upstairs before breaching.

I never take any shotguns on attack unless I'm screwing around, you just can't guarantee you'll be at a certain range to use them while moving to the objective. On defense, I usually play them on points where I know I can hold doorways on the objective or if I'm going to be lurking in one spot and can control my engagement ranges.

Also there's someone here that's doing tests to figure out which shotguns have the most range to them, I don't have the image saved but there was some useful info that shows just how much more effective using ADS is.

Blackbeard is insaenly nerfed from where he was, but having a big ass DMR with a "survive some headshots" shield + breaching charges leaves him fairly versatile in playing the game. I tend to use him to watch lanes or fight from a distance. Has a better sniper than Glaz, really.

Echo and Mira is a toss up. Echo is really, really good if you have a team that has insane communication. But since you can't mark targets, and there isn't a good indicator of when you hit someone with the memeblast, you need to use voice with him. Almost mandatory.

OR

Mira is a bit more easy to play, but she can be a huge liability if played incorrectly. BUT she can be a game changer is used right. Your mileage may vary.

Pick whoever of these two you feel best suits your playstyle. After this, grab Jackal, and whoever else you want in whatever order you want after that.

Blackbeard now has a higher skill floor with his weaker shield, that was my point. You don't have to be super good at pre-aiming and pre-firing with Cav to be effective with her (despite those being strong skills to have regardless) since more often than not you're trying to catch people while their backs are turned.

Echo only works well with good communication/callouts, otherwise you're better off with Valk. That's a big barrier for people trying to get good with him that you don't have to worry about so much with Cav.
I never argued that he was less useful.
Most people won't get nearly enough use out of him to justify getting him, especially since a lot of people don't like his super-passive playstyle and play him wrong anyways.

For example, you know the staircase outside in Favela that leads from F1 to F3? If the objective at south side of F3, you can run to north side of F2, peek out one of the windows or doors looking at the stair and blast away when you see any.
Another example is Hereford Base. People usually go from top down because it's easier to see enemies when you're above them. Since the game has actual glaring issues, not limited to server quality and lag compensation, that people yelling "FUCKING BULLSHIT" and blaming the game for their deaths when it isn't warranted only hurts the credibility of actual evidence of those issues.

Players should spend more time dissecting "bullshit" moments to see if the game was actually at fault or not before jumping to conclusions, otherwise they risk looking a fool and making other people that show actual evidence less trusted by relation.

I don't experience it, my friends don't experience it, and the other players I get together with don't experience it.
I look for it constantly too, but the only issues I ever consistently run into is peekers advantage, and things generally controlled more by ping and shitty servers or poor lag comp.
I do play with around 20-30 ping in-game though, so if most people have issues because the game practically forces 80 ping on people that should have latency more around 40, or because they're playing on a different platform with potentially different server infrastructure, then I'm not going to be experiencing those problems.
The only time I ever have "hitreg" problems is with Hibana, and formerly Valk before they declared they fixed her hitbox, likely by making her shemagh part of it when it previously wasn't.
I can't help but take all "hitreg" complaints with a grain of salt since almost all issues I've had in the game have been related to ping/latency. Most of the game's hitreg is controlled by client-side as far as I can tell, and only in extreme circumstances, usually involving extremely high ping, have I seen situations where shots that you should be hitting on your screen aren't connecting.
