What is a fun country to play in Vicky 2 if you are new. I know the basics of the mechanics and I can definitely play the game, but I'm not good enough to pull off the harder countries, like Texas.

Because the new world has an immigration modifier called "new world" or something like that that gives it a massive immigrant attraction. South Africa also gets a modifier like this in HPM and probably vanilla. Am I the only one who thinks the Grand Campaign mod for Darkest Hour is pretty ass?

The problem isn't grossebingermaniums, the problem is that the outcome is utterly fixed for WW1. If it isn't that exact, specific outcome and all its specific parameters aren't achieved, the entire mod doesn't work. In that case, why bother with the WW1 scenario at all? If you start in 1933 it's the exact same thing except without the risk of everything going wrong because you either didn't win or you didn't lose on purpose.

/Gsg/ I'm a newfag to CK2 and I finally managed to create my first empire by taking the larger kingdom of england as Ireland. However, now that I have this second kingdom under my rule I'm having trouble finding a way to maintain on top of it. England did not have an elective monarchy so they keep pushing for it with a revolt (which I'm fine with) and afterwards I try to get elected, but keep on failing as they obviously prefer a british king over an Irish one, which causes me to loose power. This is a problem because england is a much larger kingdom than Ireland, so when it comes for elections on who controls the empire they proceed to vote for an English king not of my dynasty because the Anglo Saxons outnumber the Irish voters. I tried improving relations and they still vote for Brits instead and my guy is too old to kill all of them.

tl;dr took over england as ireland, formed the dejure empire, because of how large england is the brits outnumber the irish vote and put some british guy in charge not of my dynasty in the elections. Improving relations isn't working and I'm too old to effectively murder all british competition for the throne. How do I fix that so I stay in power?

I'm looking at Balkans.txt in the HPM/decisions/ folder.

Yoguslavia is supposed to have Serb, Croat, and Slovene accepted.
However there's a line that makes me think you don't get added cultures if you are a theocracy:

Then there's a commented out decision to accept bosnians (so you'll never get bosniak as accepted apparently).
Followed by several more similar decisions for other cultures, which are all disabled for Theocracies.

So it looks like theocratic yugoslavia is really fucked in the accepted cultures department.

So I am playing EU4 for the first time.
It's as Muscowy because that seemed like an easyish start. I have my first idea thing to pick and am thinking religious because of all these mohammedans, but after that, I don't know if I should get quantity to stack my military (which might not be as necessary because Poland and Lithuania's cooperation fell apart somehow and one of Poland's vassals is destroying them.

So if I skip military for my second choice should I go expansion or exploration. I assume expansion because I won't really be going oversees unless I make it to alaska or someshit, but I really don't know the benefits of each
