When I visited Japan, I was a little surprised that Blazblue is about 10x as popular as Revelator in arcades, but in America it's probably the opposite.

The Azure grimoire is the most powerful grimoire in existence and it makes both Ragna and Hazama extremely strong. As for Fuzzy, Mai could barely stand after being drained by Soul Eater, so you couldn't expect her to fight effectively. And when facing Seifer she had no weapon but still succeeded since she stalled him long enough that he could no longer harvest the souls of everyone in the city and his plan therefore failed.

Mai is capable and quick-thinking. E.g. she was the one that came up with and immediately implemented a plan to save Makoto.

Variable Heart Ch. 9 Summary Part 1. (Summary done by amatsumugi89)

>After Mai threw the spear, Fuzzy just laughed at it thinking it wasn’t anything special. He ripped apart the strings and dodged the spear,however Mai called out to the spear and it changed direction mid-air and strikes the bone dragon which also made a cut in Fuzzy’s face.

It's weird, since this is Ragna prior to Calamity Trigger he should be edgy as shit, yet he's fighting alongside Mai's group and Mai won't let him fight Fuzzy alone. How long ago was this before he made his way to Kagutsuchi anyway? How would come Kagura has no idea who he is at that point when Taro was literally fighting with the guy and alongside him and reports damn near everything to Kagura? On top of that, if Ragna's along with this group for a prolonged amount of time after this, I can't see how he'd keep up the edgy persona of his in Calamity Trigger.

The dude hated everything and everyone in that game and there's even a path where Ragna kills everybody he fights during his arcade and based on his reaction to Bell he's already killed Nu two times already.

And while Ragna was edgier in CT, you're exaggerating how edgy he was. Don't forget that he got food for Tao for example when he saw she was hungry. Also the manga takes place right after the Ikagura civil war, so Ragna wouldn't have destroyed Nu yet.

Ragna is one of the most popular BB characters, so they're giving him a large cameo. The same thing happened in Remix Heart but Mai was still the main character of that.
