the story is weak and doesn't make a lot of sense. there are so many characters you switch between during the whole campaign, there isn't any time to flesh them out so they're really shallow and boring. the only one that sticks around is apollyon and she's a really poorly written character but has a nice voice actress.

the single player was longer than i expected though, and a decent enough intro to how to play the game and was somewhat of a challenge. i beat it once on hard, once on easy to get all the breakables/observables i missed the first time, and the viking chapter on realistic for the valkyrie horns. but i won't pretend the story is good.

What's there to discuss? Ashfeld starts literally exploding lava and all, then Apollyon comes in and starts rounding up knights to beat up other knights and round up more knights, and afterward goes and fucks with the vikings for no reason, who in turn fuck with eacother in the same fashion, then the samurai because they're starving. Raider and co get away and are literally gone for the remainder of the plot, Warden and co rebel against Apollyon, which in turn lets the samurai go kill her. Apollyon's only given motive is that she thinks everyone's like this at their core, most likely due to having suffered earlier on, as further suggested by the "dog kicks the cat, cat kicks the mouse" domino-style violence that moves the storyline. Centurions are mentioned to have been the predecessor's of knights, and the samurai are mentioned to have been fleeing from some other threat, which may or may not be the ninja depending on if he's part of the samurai faction. I don't think I missed anything.

Solution to leavers crashing games with no survivors:

If the game fails to synchronize players, instead of sending everyone to the main menu, the host requests each client to upload their players' coordinates on the map at the point of the desync (where you see your guy standing during the loading icon)

Host collects coordinate and health information from all connected players, and places everyone in neutral position in the exact coordinates that each person appears to be standing on their own screen. Canceling all in-progress animations, attacks, blocks, parries, dashes, etc. Just drop everyone standing where they appear to be on their screen.
Resync all players in this state. Give everyone 2 seconds of invulnerability as if they had just respawned.

This will interrupt fights but it's better than just sending everyone to the main menu and wasting everyone's time.

Note that this ONLY happens in the event that the server would normally crash. A connection issue that actually recovers normally would just act as it does now.

It's just the simple fact that PK's attacks come out an order of magnitude faster than anyone else's.
Add that with latency, and the fact that some characters switch guards slower than others, and you might very well end up in a situation where you physically cannot block her attack unless your guard was already set correctly before the attack arrow came up. She has a stupid fast zone attack and stupid fast R1s, so every attack she throws from above or the side is a 50/50 that could end up being from the other side, which in turn starts an attack chain where she suffers basically no penalty for hitting your shield even if you do guess the next attack which, by the way, is also a cointoss with slow characters since you literally can't react in time if you've recently shifted your guard. I've parried her lights as lawbringer and had her even tech the guardbreak, and in duels no less. To boot, even if you drain her stamina, she can switch stance whenever you try to push her over and she'll avoid the knockdown, because assassin heroes can just do that. Even against conq she can just hang back then R1 the air, and since her followup R1 is even faster, she'll R1 you if you try to bash punish the whiff, and that's assuming you were smart enough to not move into the initial R1 in the first place. Against people with low enough range you can hide behind hitboxes with her just like how warlord hides behind his allblock>hitconfirm, you're basically just taking out the middle man. Her only weakness is her lack of good unblockable opening moves. She shits on the entirety of the cast save for warlord, who is commonly called her "counter" when in reality all he can do is turn the game into a staring contest, because that's really the best you can do against an ideal peacekeeper, who can just as easily play defensive against you if you try to be the aggressive one.

Do you know why lawbringer is "good" in 4v4 modes? Because the players literally do nothing but throw people off because they know they can't win. In instances of domination, they have denial ability so that team mates can get the kills, and because they "helped" they get a kill assist, that is counted as an elimination in the scores since they don't have an assist score.

Lawbringer only is "good" because he can't do anything except let his team get kills. That's it.

>parry his slow as fuck attacks
>Don't go near a ledge that he can shove you off
>if you are near a ledge, wait for them to shove then side step, GB, throw them off
>if you aren't near a ledge and they shove you, you don't have to attempt to prevent it since it combos into nothing that you can't parry, cgb, side step, or just block
>feint an attack then GB him out of his parry attempt before he can feint it

I hope this makes people realize how piss easy it is to fight a lawbringer and maybe someone here knows a dev and can yell at them

Which class gives you the most trouble? Like which do you dread seeing the most?

For some reason Shugoki just push my shit in every single time. I just cannot deal with them and I don't know why because they feel like they should be easy.

its not necessary that they're hard it's that they all do the dodge-attack thing just wait for me to attack then fast attack over and over and over and over

I have problems with Nobushi. The usual PK and nu-Valk with more tripping and block breaking light attacks and I don't get perplexed by them. But Nobushi for some reason gives me trouble.

is that much advice even nessecary? Just tech all of his grabs and bear in mind that he gets a shove off of a block, so don't wail on him with a ledge to your back,and avoid getting you lights parried by using things like zone switches.
