The philosophy behind Freedom and Duty are both pretty different to each other. Duty sees the Zone as something evil that has to be destroyed while Freedom sees the Zone as something that should be protected and enjoyed by all, kinda treating it like a national park. So you can see why they both tend to clash with each other.

Oh I see, I wondered how hard/unbalanced changing the tool kits up would be. Honestly I think that the rare "pristine" items would be really cool, maybe have a chance to get rusty or broken versions of the stuff too that are literally just useless junk items, but that might just be useless. It doesn't limit it at all, the recipes just have to be built in stages. Another example, an IED:

1 - container (explo_balon_gas)
2 - electronics (pda) walkie headlamp flashlight_broken radio radio2
3 - fuel (kerosene)
4 - explosives (grenade)
5 - shrapnel (buckshot, bad ammo) ammo_bad cutlery

Electronic item onto propane tank = IED stage 1
Fuel on that = IED stage 2
Grenade on that = IED
Shrapnel on an IED makes an IED that throws more shrapnel.

Yeah, I think what I'd do is add the start of the recipes as a trash document you can find randomly that would get you started, like "Oh, if you add a PDA to a gas tank, it could be rigged into an IED", and then when you actually make the first stage of the item it will tell you how to finish it.

So far this is what I've got:
The cloth mask, cloth sheets, and tarpaulin can be cut into cloth strips. If you disinfect them with a dose of vodka, you get a bandage.

I have some other ideas involving destroying binoculars, scopes, and gasmasks for parts like lenses, which you could use with glue or something to fix a broken or moisture filled scope.

There's really not a shit ton of stuff I can think of to add for crafting either, but it's nice to have options.

My list of ideas so far:
Fix up a headlamp from a bunch of broken parts.
Repair damaged scopes .
Fix up rusty/worn weapons or items.
Cooking addons like adding vodka to meat to get rid of some radiation without giving you the drunk effect.
IEDs made from explosives and electronics.
Silencers made from gun barrels and steel wool.
Backpack from cloth and sewing kit.
Coffee from caffeine pills and a mixer (water, vodka)
First aid kits.

The concept of the noosphere which C-Con is supposed to be a wordlwide sphere of consciousness (hence their name).

Because of the global A life, you'll see clearsky members all over the map if you play long enough.

I started as clear sky just to get the story mode ez start, and they're guarding the ecologists base, they're in agoropom, they're at the northern edge of garbage as well as the hot hind area, and they make up half the rookie village, the area with the repair guy, and the house across the way that's usually full of bandits.

But you won't find another CS trader unless you have a mod.

Base CoC with weapon mods doesn't really have any sort of faction movement/occupation system, does it? I cleared a number of areas as monolith but the best that has happened is some monolith duder guarding the crossroads south of the radar road/checkpoint.

The C-CON have no desire to do anything in regards to opening up another rift in the noosphere. In fact the zone does not expand 5km every time someone reaches the wish granter, but instead expands every time someone attempts to fuck with the c consciousness.

It expanded first because the military tried to nuke it after the rift, then expanded again at the end (not the beginning during the great emission) of clear sky because of the decoder, thus causing c con to create monolith.

And finally it expands at the end of SOC when strelok refuses to join c-con along with fucking everyone assaulting it, causing the final great emission and noosphere fuckery before strelok kills it.

The C-con even tell you almost all of this, and beg you to join them. After they fucked up attempting to get rid of all the bad feels in the world and tore a hole in the noosphere, everything they did afterward was in a desperate attempt to keep it secret, prevent the expansion of the zone, and possibly repair it.

Ironically, their continued actions possibly contributed more to keeping the tear open and expanding the zone, but it's left open to interpretation as the c con at the end of SOC tell you as much, cursing the stalkers and men who continue to try and stop them from fixing their mistake.

I've been Legend for four days of on and off play now and i'm still neutral with every faction despite running missions literally non-stop. They can be taken down with a single shotgun round by any non silenced shotgun, they can be taken down in 1-2 rounds by any battle rifle, 1-3 rounds by any 7.62 ak, 2-4 rounds by any AR, and 2-5 rounds by ANY submachine gun.

On top of that, they have a loud call before they lazily run at you face first before getting into leaping distance, making headshotting them an inevitability.

But if this is your first time fighting snorks in groups it's understandable. The key is to not aim down sights and just burst at them. Also, if you're using a shotgun, whatever you do, do not use slugs. Hip fire at them with buckshot and you gurantee one shooting them with a headshot. Download 4AM in pripyat if you want more realistic damage, and if you're using STCOP, download AO3 just to fix the shotgun round values, as they nerfed them into the dirt for some reason.

And if you're talking about the Izlom or fracture zombies, I'm pretty sure you cannot headshot them in one shot without a serious rifle, so it's better to cripple them with arm shots before putting them down.

If you don't have a damage mod like Warfighter, I think zombified stalkers are meant to not have a headshot like normal human enemies. They also have this weird bleeding out/surrender animation where they just sort of convulse on the ground. An ecologist will remark that this one was trying to play dead before killing it.

A headshot should normally put them down a zombified stalker, but I find in most cases they go into the convulsing state and I need to put more bullets in them before they stay down which is rather annoying, since having large caliber rounds pass through your brain should stop any zombie in their tracks

I doubt I'll ever end up finishing SoC since STALKER has always been most fun to fuck around in going on missions and exploring around the zone and hauling back loot, which is why it's forever a disappointment of mine that there are so few custom maps. Overhauls can throw on as many new paints over the games as they want, but they'll always be lacking in that you're just playing the same maps you've already spent countless hours on and know like the back of your hand. I know some slav mods have additional maps, but I'd love to see good ones added onto CoC so that the Zone feels fresher

Are you sure you're talking about snorks and not chimeras?

The snorks are the ones in the gas masks who are wearing old NBC suits.

Chimeras are the 3 headed cerberi looking fucks that are coded to do exactly as you described with lion leaps from 30 meters away.

Plus snorks can only barely damage armor while chimera can destroy even the heaviest slash proof armor with 5 swipes or so.

And the chimera have no headshot, are tanky as fuck, quicker than a psydog, and require 1-2 shots from the big bore rifles, ks23, rifle grenades, an RPG, or a magazine from a normal shotgun, a full mag from a battle rifle, 2-3 mags from an ak or ar, and an ungodly amount of smg or pistol rounds unless you're using a desert eagle.

Snorks are easy early game enemies powerful for those still in hobo mode. Chimera are war dogs deadlier than pseudo giants.

Chimeras are bullet spongy, yeah, but if you have literally anything between you and them then they are easy as shit. As long as the have something to interrupt their jump (I've used light posts, stumps, even the little shrubby trees that have a solid tree trunk) they can slowly be widdled down. it may take awhile and you cant get cocky, but its perfectly doable. I've killed Chimeras with shitty SMGs and Pistols before, it does take literally hundreds of rounds.

I play generally cautiously so I always carry around a grenade launcher on whatever rifle I have, or I carry the KS-23 with a box of slugs. I'm a gigantic Battlerifle weeb so I usually have no problems with large mutants anyway.

Speaking of submachine guns, the whisperer .45acp MP5 is an amazing gun. Only takes 3/4 of a mag at most to put down a chimera.

Each mutant has its own way of fighting and you need your own technique to fight back.

I feel like rats, tushkanos, and fleshs are all jokes.

Psuedos/dogs will always charge you, only moving a little side to side if you are aiming down your sights at them. Their leap attack will only work at about 45 degree angle in front of them. Don't climb on top of stuff, run towards them and time your jump so their side will hit your side (about mid air) and you wont take damage. Try to aim to land behind them if you can, then they will usually try to loop around for another charge, if not they will try to just bite you.

Cats are only hard if they don't make a sound when they come up to attack you. I usually just keep my eyes on cats, they are easy to kill and really don't hurt that bad so its not a big deal.

Boars are similar to dogs except they don't have their leap. Instead the "leap range" is their actual attack area. The whole jumping thing works but its riskier and its honestly easier to just run perpendicular to them.

Bloodsuckers are just back up and shoot them when they get close, jump at angles away from them. Their running sweep attack that they do has crazy range, so watch that.

Snorks are fairly predictible. they actually caused me quite a bit of trouble as well. Best bet is when they leap, side step (their roll will carry them forward) and follow behind them with a shotgun and blast them before they can finish the roll, if not, get away and try again.

Controllers/Burers are best dealt with at a range for CoM. If you are playing CoC get in their face with a shotgun.

Psuedos/Chimeras are best dealt with explosives. Pseudos are slow and stupid, go with range. for chimeras see >>170302979

Polter/Pyrogeists are the bane of my existence in CoM, no tips for them outside of avoiding them entirely. They are easy as shit in CoC, aim center of mass.

And I'm not sure if you can do this, but a shotgun barrel that's rusty really wouldn't be useless unless it's firing slugs. There should be an accuracy and range penalty for buckshot and the slugs should be absolutely useless beyond 10 meters or just not able to be used.

But to answer your question, 5.45 and 5.56 should definitely be used together with a small bore repair kit, while the 7.62 and 7.92 should also be used the same way.

However, if such a thing is possible, you should separate 7.62x39 from the larger calibers and lump them into the small bore AR rounds. It would fit better overall due to the vastly different chamber pressures, vastly different breech, and vastly different barrel and breech thickness.

But then instead of naming the repair kits small bore/large bore, you would have to name them Assault Rifle Repair kits/Full size rifle repair kits (or battle rifle repair kit or just simply rifle repair kit).

As for NATO/Slav barrels, I went with cartridge diameter, so anything that fires a 7.62, whether it's 7.62x51, x39, x54, or even the .300 magnum (which is apparently 7.62 diameter) can use the barrel from any other weapon that fires one of those. As long as the round fits through the chamber, I'm not trying to go crazy putting this shit together.

I could separate the heavier barrels, like the MG and sniper barrels, from the other shit though. Not sure if I want to, but I'll wait for more input.

Just finished the 3 games.

Shadow of Chernobyl was good.

The thing with parts is that I can't really come up with a large list of generic rifle parts. So far I've got stocks/furniture, random spring, trigger mechanism, bolt carrier/firing pin, and pistol grips. And I don't know about the turning a weapon into a rusty version, I mean I'll think about it, but there are only worn and rusty versions of a few weapons.

I'll stick with the barrels for now, and if enough people hate it or I decide that I hate it, I can change the icons and names, that isn't really a big deal. Maybe change them to upper/lower receivers and make the barrels even more specific?

I'm almost entirely certain that there isn't a PTRD or PTRS in any mod pack either.

You're going to have to git gud and make one yourself if you really want one. You could import the K98 from a mod pack, create 13.2mm tuf ammo, and make a pseudo one, but you'll have to do some modeling to make it into a true one.

I'm the son of 2 police officers, so I knew immediately that me being pulled over was a fluke when they were plainclothes cops in an unmarked car, specifically meaning that they were narcotics.

Considering the nigger on the bike with the backpack came and went without a care in the world to the car that was shortly thereafter surrounded by cops, I figured there was a semi major sting due to the amount and the unmarked pulling me over. Of course the nigger going free and even circling back with nobody caring but me being pulled over meant that there was a lieutenant running the thing and he was likely an idiot.

Sure enough as I was shooting the shit with the cops after the search, the lieutenant popped out of the passenger seat of the unmarked to ask if they found anything, curse under his breath when the answer was no, and then tell them to hurry up and go. He was just a standard lieutenant and not a narcotics detective like the actual cops. I wonder what would have happened had I not told them about the blatant drug dealer the lieutenant missed instead of me?

Yes, I'd recommend removing DDD first, but if you install Fieldcraft on top of it, it shouldn't conflict at all.

So far the only craftable thing is the bandage from cloths + vodka. Not sure if I made it clear or not, but you have to drag the vodka onto the cloth. Dragging a knife onto a tarpaulin or cloth mask or textile gives you cloths too.

It's not that.

The probable cause was me being in a suspicious area where a drug deal was going down, with my car running and the lights off for the entirety of the arrest. (I turned the lights off to see the police shit better kek)

The lieutenant decided that this was good enough to act upon, and waited until I left before having them pull me over.

Here's where NYS law takes over. They pull me over for the original order by the lieutenant, and go through a script about asking if I'm on a substance and telling me that I look like I am on something before asking me to get out of the car.

Under NYS law, suspicion of driving under the influence gives them consent to search the passenger compartment of the vehicle. I was friendly and courteous, asked if they wanted the trunk opened, and let them take a look at my phone. I wasn't nervous and they had no reason to go anywhere with a search as I had nothing on my person or vehicle.

Generally they would have patted me down and done a real search but I had a PBA card. Depending on what they find generally and the reaction of the suspect, as well as immediate and quick questioning looking for inconsistency in where you were and where you're going etc. they could then call for a full search and look under panels and shit.

Just being courteous to cops gets you a long way. They didn't even look for registration or insurance, didn't check my pockets, didn't care that I had an expired handicap sticker that isn't registered to my car(grandmother). Even if they find nothing and you're a dick, they'll look for something to get you on because you were being an asshole.

Fuck that lieutenant though. They waited and got the drop on a deal that just went down, and he decides to go after a car across the street in a parking lot whose driver never left instead of the dealer literally having contact with the buyer, peddling back to see the commotion, and then peddling away like he was being chased by wolves.

I don't understand why everybody decided to leave k_hit alone. They kept it at 1.0 for slugs but had it at like .7-.8 for buckshot, but there's 6 of them.

Meanwhile the .357 hollow point is at 3.5 making it hit like a truck against non armor targets that slugs are made for.

The 6.8mm jhp rounds did more damage than slugs.

A shit load of new guns. It's like a combo between ao3, stcop, shoker, and some stuff thrown in randomly from other packs.

It's fairly easy to move some things over, but the gun damages are fucked beyond belief and are all .44ish no matter what weapon.

Thompson is broken due to the Hud model not lining up right with firing and the sights. Honeybadger is missing many things. M16A1 uses the silencer from AO3.

You can port the Mosin/k98/gewher over just fine.

Best thing to do is download the COC version that came out right before 1.4 and boot it up to find the guns you like. Some just don't have a niche.

The stg44 has a built in scope and is made for AO3 4am in pripyat. The K98 is completely unfinished for the most part, but you can probably get it working using nugget food, and the g43 doesn't exist, but the MP-40 does and is easy to get to work on your game if you want.

They do occasionally back off if you jump into them but yes, it's annoying. Personally I'd prefer a hotkey for 'wait here', 'follow me', 'go passive' (so you can retreat easily) and maybe 'get down'. They really are unless you use AP ammo, in fact most of my deaths in Ironman with AO3.1 were caused by people in low-mid tier armour tanking half-mags of 5.45x39 or multiple bodyshots with a nugget and still shooting back. This would be fine against exosuits but it takes the piss against bandits.
STCoP (with our without a tweak to boot damage) balances things out: both of you will die quickly if not using proper armour. The major issue is the NPC's accuracy being shit which again you can fix.

Also the fact that I can get two shotted makes the military guys super scary and I like the tension that gives me every time I have to fight them. Knowing that every time I poke my head out I can get dropped, but I can't just sit and wait too long for the regen either or I'll risk them flanking me, so its a constant decision of waiting, trying to shoot back, or repositioning. It has made for some great fun uphill battles so far.

Gamedata>config>weapons>ammo ltx.

Impair means stun animation for hitting an enemy. Impulse is just how hard they die.

k_dist is how distance affects rounds.

AP is AP. Pierce is how well your rounds go through cover, bushes, and people (allowing you to kill 2 people with one sniper round with a big enough round).

The important stay is k_hit, which is a multiplier for how much damage a round does to a target. You'll see the HP and JHP rounds get a boost of usually 1.2-1.4. The rounds for the .50 beowulf get a ridiculous 2.8-3.

Just fix the shotgun slugs desu. They have a base 1.0 making them far weaker than the buckshot rounds even at range. I set mine to 2.5-3.0 depending on the mod so the slugs are a bit more powerful than the buckshot, because a solid ounce of lead should fuck things up.

FYI, Impair has aboslutely nothing to do with stun animations.

It is actually the multiplier for weapon degradation.

Most mods don't touch that it, but whenever there's a mod that uses corrosive ammunition, it is achieved by giving that type higher Impair value.

thats now a fix it lets you adjust the hud of your selected weapon in the game. then you can tab out of it and save the hud positioning coordinates.

-The kit destroys the rusted weapon and gives you a kit (Mosin rebuild kit for this example)
-You have to add new components to rebuild the weapon
-New 7.62x54 barrel (or just 7.62 barrel, not sure yet)
-New trigger mechanism
-New stock (wood, wire, or synthetic depending on the weapon)
-New whatever
-Once the parts are all placed onto the Rebuild Kit in whatever order, player gets a "new" Mosin Nagant, albeit at a condition between 25-50.

make something like - swiss knife has the highest chance to get you things from weapon, but can be used the least amount of times
crowbar can get you average amount and can be used average amount of times
hammer can be used infinitely but gets you little amount of parts
you can add something like weapon disassembling kits, which can be used a lot and give you a lot
some interaction with technicians would be nice too. giving them weapons so that they'll disassemble shit for you

Guys, quick question regarding AO3 and JSGME.
It seems adding the outfit addon and then the patch separately still cancels out AO3,
and merging them doesn't solve the issue either.

Holy mother of FUCK I actually found the problem. Some Duty asshole was the cause of the crash because there was a bandit in dying state on the ground in his path and if the fucker approached him or his body the game would crash. If I shot at him he would completely ignore me and keep moving towards the bandit so I had to put a bullet in his head before he reached him. This was the most random crash trigger I've ever seen, what the fuck.

Well, now I know which faction I dislike the most for almost making me give up on the game for the third time.

Right now the hammer can disassemble any weapon, the crowbar can do anything but pistols, and the swiss knife can only disassemble pistols. They are all reusable.

The technician thing isn't a bad idea.
