Farm and only gank if the kill is easy/clean up. His ganks suck but Graves scales into a disgusting sustain tanky damaging dealing piece of shit after an item or two. Also learn his animation cancels its crucial to getting most out of him just pay attention to his reload animation and you can figure it out pretty fast. beyond that I'd say build is highly situational with the probable exception of sunfire immediately following titanic for that extra hp/waveclear, and abyssal being third-fourth finished item simply for amplifying allied damage/your own cdr/mr. Amplified ally damage means more sunlight proc damage btw.

But far as gameplay goes know how to lock someone under tower range and how to aqa/flash during zenith windup animation and you're good to go-- it's mostly good as a draft counterpick by the way, or rather to bait the enemy bot lane into picking janna when your support is something like nami or sona or whatever.
