Some heroes are more likely to get medals then others like a Roadhog or a Zen even if they're getting countered. the enemy team could have a good Reaper, Roadhog and Zenyatta and you'll still get plenty medals as Roadhog even though you keep getting shut down.

Zen as well could get plenty of elims and damage but if the enemy team runs 0-1 tanks it's better to just swap off since your discord has almost no value.

That said sometimes it's really just teammates being the most retarded human beings alive.

I take Mercy only when the team plays spread enough that I can benefit from zapping side to side with Guardian Angel. I doubt she's the best healer but she definitely has a niche.

Also just because you're a healer doesn't mean people won't die, especially when the enemy has Ana or someone who can reliably take someone from full to zero.

The thing about Zen is he's a big fat fucking target so he struggles without decent tankplay from a teammate. Take it from someone who spent ages in Elo hell playing Zen and Lucio. The only way out of SR that low is to play someone who can function no matter how retarded the rest of the team is.
Alternately, if there is one decent DPS on your team, pocket him with your Zen or Ana. It's a shitty idea at higher ranks, but it's fine where you're at.

Evil healers or characters in the medical field generally tend to be necromancers, serial killers and mad scientists. Restoring someone's health is intrinsically an act of good, with perhaps the only caveat being something like healing someone's scar when it had sentimental value to them.

For me personally Mercy is interesting insofar that she's anti-Overwatch. Even Winston is pro-Overwatch, but Mercy sees it as too corruptible while possessing too much authoritative power.

And naturally her short will be boring, the lore in this game started out promising corny shit but there's no advancement, instead of a lore-driven map we got Numbani 2.0.

Story is how you hook people for the long term, so its very likely that they will continue bringing out stuff, but slowly the faith in the writers had diminished, since it seems they are a one trick pony, being able to make great character but not being able develop it any further.

Is anyone else concerned about the obvious power creep of the new characters? All three of the new characters have significantly more complicated kits than a number of the launch cast.

I'm afraid that heros like Winston, Reaper, and Widowmaker are just gonna become obsolete because of how simple their kits are overtime.
