All memeing aside, do you guys think the game will survive? I love the game, but it's slowly being destroyed by shit like revenge gear, shitty connections, and players nonstop quitting unpenalized because of said shitty connections.
I definitely think it's a really bad sign that they removed the player count in the last update, and I want the game to live.

It just came out, they already said that they will nerf revenge gear. They say revenge is a necessary mechanic but it being spammed every 2 seconds and easily triggered in 1v1 situations is not what they intended.
They are aware of quitters and want to look into it but I'm not sure they will actually do shit about it.

Anyone else unable to play the game outside of story mode? For some reason, the game just won't connect to the servers or something and I can't play. It just gets stuck in infinite matchmaking. It won't even get past the loading screen for a custom match offline. The world map updates the territories, I can see how many friends are online playing the game and I can't switch out my gear all fine, but actually playing the game gets me fuckall.

What the fuck? I've tried verifying the files and everything was successful, no errors found.

Warlord is top tier because of defensive play and has a good offence. Valk is very good after the buffs with fast pokes and can keep people locked in combos if they don't know how to get out. Whichever one you choose, someone in fhg will probably be upset so pick the one you have fun with.

Not worth the time spent to do completions or wins, the gain is too small. The only orders you have vs AI that are worth doing are executions, kills, or point captures. ALL of which are easier if your team is afk.

Whoops, didn't see there was a new thread. Anyway, so I play Warden for Vanguard, Warlord for Heavy (yeah I know, i'll burn in hell, yada, yada) and Serker for Assassin.

Got fairly good with Berserker and Warden, the former basically being my main. But I want to try different things out and not limit myself to basically just 1/12 of the game. So I got this order to do Skirmish with Hybrids. Which Hybrid hero is good? I don't mind if he's hard to learn. And don't want it to be too easy. Thoughts?

I am on the ropes between Valk and Nobushi. Nobushis seem to give me the most trouble when I play Warden, that range is quite an advantage if one knows how to maintain it.

I am not. I am very used to my KB+M and have got quite good with it. I don't understand the controller appeal (although I do have both PS and Xbox controllers I used for like Prince of Persia and what-not). Well, they didn't change anything in terms of the Counter Guard Break timing. They simply made it so that if you GB someone, and they GB you - you can tech out of it. You couldn't previously. That's literally the only change. People misinterpret those patch notes so much.

Preferably stand near a wall, wait for a parry or sometimes even block is enough to get a free GB into a 100% side heavy into a shield bash, if the enemy hits a wall with shield bash then go for another heavy and repeat, if they dont hit a wall just go for a light and repeat.
Or if someone is trash then you can just spam them with shield bashes and heavies

That would imply it's not entirely true. Warlord has no counters currently, he is awarded from simply staying passive and being reactionary, has a fuckton of damage to even rival assassins - can literally trade with assassins due to the super armor on his heavies, has the most control in his guard break movement, has the best unblockable disrupt move in the game - which incidentally also gives you free damage on people if it hits, so on, so forth.

I mean for fuck sake, the only reason the Warlords don't win the tournaments is because of Conqueror's iframes on his shield bash. If not for them, Warlord would literally have just slipped to the top spot without even sweating it much.

I'm kind of in the same boat as you. What I've been doing is adding the few good players I find to my friend's list and have a couple of matches with them every so often but a lot of them have quit now.

I don't believe this game has much left for its players. I entered a tournament and it was entirely Warlord headbutts, Shugoki running around trying to knock you over for a free hit or GB, a few diehard Wardens trying to make it work, PKs darting in with a zone only to back out right afterwards, and tons of Conqs shieldbashing to the ends of the earth. Basically, entirely no-fun cheese. I shouldn't talk though since I was one of the Warlords using homing headbutts. Got shit tons of hatemail after the tourny too for being a 'no-skill scrub' which was interesting because everyone was using cheese, I just did it more successfully.

Warlord isn't even my most-used character or most-liked, the game balance is just awful in FH

Full allblock (1 second of holding it) is a guaranteed light or heavy depending on attack/character. Often that can depend if they are blocking on your left. The biggest example of block direction importance is the full parry combo only working on right and top blocks.
