I just took the EUfr folder from the EUR version and renamed it to USen.

Didn't put in the 008 folder.

Re-encrypted and loaded my save back up. The problematic cutscene I mentioned earlier now works perfectly with french dub.
So NOTE TO ANYONE ELSE MAKING AN UNDUB:

The voice files in the USA version other than the English "USen" are most likely completely fucked, as far as my testing goes. DO NOT USE THEM. Not sure if this applies to Spanish voice files as well. But for sure, the french files are just completely fucked over and Nintendo was just trolling me by including an incomplete set of voices. Just take all of the voice files from the EUR version of the game since these voice folders have the complete set.

Make sure to use WinMerge to compare the voice files in both folders before renaming the one you want to "USen", so the game uses it.

For that anon who was asking me about ECDSA stuff for amiibos last night -- turns out the ECDSA signature stored in amiibos is over the unique ID, and not anything we care about.

Nintendo currently doesn't validate the signature, and even if they did it's not over any of the data we'd care about modifying. So it basically just doesn't matter.

I'm pretty sure they don't want the new3ds to run games differently from normal 3ds because it's possible it would cause unforeseen issues that Nintendo just doesnt want to put time into looking for and fixing.
It's like the ps4 pro is still eventually getting a "boost mode" which will be a check box hidden in the menus that lets the system run harder then otherwise. (it had a similar situation where it would run ps4 games identically to a normal ps4 unless specifically patched by the devs to do otherwise.)
Technically if you do that there is a risk of the game crashing or something because they didn't do proper testing.

Look at the jgeckou thread on gbatemp and from there grab a link to billy somethings version of tcpgecko with the codehandler.bin you also need on their github, also grab jgecko it's pretty great as far as a debugger written in java goes, very sturdy.
If you'd like all the offsets i have you're welcome to them or you can just decompile either mine or pretty much anyone elses build and harvest them.
In terms of horses I would recommend either large dumps and searching for the horse name as a string or just several sweeps for the name, not sure what encoding it would be, try several (ascii, utf8 etc)

I for one am just happy to have a copy of tcpgecko that actually fucking works and a debugger that doesn't suck. I'm still looking for the latter for 3ds.

often that's because you left files in the main install folder outside of your z1 folder.

Follow the guides, if you're willing to spend money install haxchi, otherwise you just boot mocha whenever you start the console.

All you have to do is go to a webpage for the payload, then you boot into the homebrew menu and can run apps. You need an SD card to hold the games, and a USB HDD to install them to through WUP loader, and you can download everything direct from Nintendo with Utikhelper.

I bought Zelda BotW for Wii U and I didn't hacked my console yet. I don't want to do that for the moment but I want to keep the version that make a hack safely possible. So I'd set the DNS to block update and my Wii U is on v5.5.1.

When I insert the disc of BotW it say I have to do an update to play. I think that it's an update to set my Wii U on 5.5.2 or higher but I don't want that so I didn't change the DNS to update.

How can I play BotW legally (with the disc) without doing the necessary update that don't allow me to play and without hacking my Wii U ?

OK, so after booting homebred launcher for the first time I'm going to download a game to get haxchi running.
Why does my eshop not connect? I'm using DNS-U as my DNS and my connection test went good. Tubehax didn't pass the connection test.

I made a French dub already, but the game will crash if you attempt to swap the voice folders that are on the USA edition because the EUfr folder inside is missing voice files. If it's being used by your Wii U, you don't need to delete anything, as long as it's got enough space for whatever you plan to install on it. But if it's being used for something else, the Wii U needs to format it, which will delete everything on it.
