It is concerning to me that wargaming is of the habit of randomly nerfing light tanks in the process of introducing other tanks. I can understand why some degree of a nerf is justifiable for what is essentially a reduction in matchmaking tier. However, there seems to be relatively little consistency for it. Like when they justified dramatically nerfing the VK2801 when they reduce the scout matchmaking the last time. However, at that time they moved the VK2801 up a tier. So the net effect was a light tank that was seeing the same enemy tanks before and after its massive nerf. They eventually reduced its matchmaking again after introducing more light tanks but there will be no such relief here.

You don't seem to understand what the difference is between a ceiling and a floor is.

Raising the skill-ceiling would mean that a more skilled player can do better in the tank as compared to its previous state. While raising the skill floor means that it takes a more skilled player to play a tank at an effective level as compared to its previous state.

These changes (aka nerfs) to the light tanks, broadly speaking (that means that there may be exceptions), are RAISING the skill FLOOR and LOWERING the skill CEILING.

That is, they are making them harder to play effectively AND less effective when played very very well.

It is kind of like an S-curve that has been shifted to the right and down where the vertical axis is "battle performance" and the horizontal axis is "player skill".
