In HS, there are random effects printed on many cards that can decide games, on top of the other coinflips in any card game. Imagine if Arch Summoner Erasmus could hit face. That's the kind of coinflips HS has on top of the match-up and first/second coinflip.

I disagree. Look at Daria. It's a deck that was basically made entirely from RoB, with only 3 legendaries from that expansion, and 3 golds from a previous one. Cygames has the choice to hand-design new archetypes in each expansion, and choose the rarities of the cards in the deck. There's no guarantee that the meta will only become more expensive over time.

Why does no one ever talk about how overloaded this card is?

Dragon Oracle is 2 mana, Pact is 2 mana (and 2 damage to face), AND you get a 3 heal, all in one card, saving you deck space which is very important in control decks.

The card essentially heals you for 5 for 1 mana (when you consider the price for drawing 2 is 2 mana + 2 hp). Honestly, all classes, other than Blood (shocker, I know) got good cards that fit in literally every deck and archetype in RoB.

Speaking as someone who has spent money on HS and SV for respectable competitive collections, Shadowverse is by far the most f2p friendly of the two. I've only spent $60 on this game, and I'm at a point where I have every non meme lego in the game and currently saving rupies for the next expansion. In HS, I had to spend at least ten times that amount in order to get to a similar point. When WotoG release was coming up, I had a good enough collection where I could save gold, and be comfortable laddering with a variety of decks. I bought the 50 packs for $50 prerelease deal along with having 3,500 gold saved up, and guess what? It wasn't good enough! The drop rates for HS legos is fucking awful compared to SV. I only opened 2 out of the 85 packs, plus the 13 that were given out for free on launch. I still had to spend money fr decks I wanted to play. Unlike in SV, I opened 56 packs, which include the 10 free ones at launch. One and a half months later, I have complete playsets of all the RoB legos.

Other reasons why Hearthstone sucks for f2p is there are cards that are behind a paywall, which are needed to play competitively. Arena is also behind a pay wall (no free tickets beyond the first), and the rank rewards are so bad in comparison to HS. Crystals are more efficient dollar wise if you stick to the daily deal.

That's assuming the opponent has a fast enough deck. Keep in mind, Saha ramp is FAVORED against Daria, one of the fastest decks in the game's history. Dragon's worst match ups are fucking slow decks, D.Shift, Nep, combo roach, not aggro decks. Why you ask? It's just slow. Basically, you get bodies on the board and drop creed. Removal, tsubaki, and the occasional normie help you not get battered over too hard while you build up. Assassin and shadowed assassin allow you to use your board bodies to clear theirs up then recloak to gain more attack, and more importantly, more defense to survive subsequent clears and opponents aoe's.
