Believe you me, Anon, I dare not intend to tread on such a revered figure with my comparatively sloppy swipes and shaky stances. The sooner I'm able to trade this clumsy blade in for a more elegant weapon befitting my tastes the better.

Brandishing steel appeals to many, but I've always been far more fond of immersing oneself in magick's flow; far away from having your face beaten-in by the angry hordes in hot pursuit.

Speaking seriously, I know Blade Master comes into its own in due time, but its earliest of levels are a long ways' from what I'd deem "smooth". Lazy though it is to admit, I can't help but pine for the quick-and-easy grinds offered from other classes through these tedious opening Acts. Being spoiled by so many AoE-happy choices makes the more centralized approach of the two tanking roles draw a bit more patience than what I've become accustomed to enduring, replaying the same song-and-dance for the sixth time so far.

Intended to post this previously, but the thread auto-archived right as it was due to launch. Shows what I get by not paying attention to the post limit.

things that can affect your dps :

- crit chance
- crit dmg
- ap
- ping
- party composition
- weapon resets
- proper mechanics
- how clean the run was
- luck on crits and whatever else
- other fuckery I could bring up but at this point I hoped you would get the point

things like these would require a sample size of like 10 and avg stuff out, your dps on the next attempt could even be 5k less

As long as you're not doing 10-15k dps less than people on similar gear on every run, then it's fine.

Okay so let's compare the two options.

Let's say you work a minimum wage job and get $85 for an 8-hour workday. That's like 1200 Gold.

This is assuming you spend ALL of that $85 for BnS gold, which isn't plausible unless you somehow don't have to eat or don't need a home to live in.

Let's say you're still living with your parents and don't have to pay for food / rent / bills. You're basically farming gold at a slightly faster rate in a real life job than in game.

Now let's say somebody else also doesn't have to pay for food / rent / bills. Let's also say your parents don't give a fuck about you being a NEET. You can watch movies or jerk off while farming gold like an autist in game for 8 or 12 hours a day.

Given the option, I would just be a fucking NEET and farm gold at a slightly less efficient rate.

If you have a job that's not shit and not minimum wage then of course buying gold is the best option.

just make sure to do your 24 man dailies every single day
also make sure you get ranked in TOI at the start of the season (floor 20+) since you don't have to do a TOI match every week to refresh weekly rewards

also get ranked for 1v1 and 3v3 (1600) then play 1 game per week to receive weekly EXP rewards since you have to play a game to get your weekly reward

those 3 weekly rewards give you like 400k EXP weekly and also a nice 700k or more on the last week (when you get weekly and monthly) so that's like 2 million exp a month for minimal effort

for 24s just do grimhorn (90k~), beastbog (75k~), plog sanctum (25-50k), grand harvest square (100k+), frostscale basin (100k+)

only do bay lee, kairam if they spawn otherwise just move on

It only resets between the big ToI seasons (fury, triumph etc.) that start every 4 months or something, aka when badges change. It doesn't reset every ToI sub season starts aka when we get (sub?)season rewards.

TOI boxes give a ton of 100k EXP charms so it is a good idea to blast through TOI tickets for quick EXP
Each run also gives a 10k EXP charm and 5k-10k EXP depending on what floor you ended on.

Plog Sanctum has a soloable quest (10 mini mob kills, just kill the little 20k HP frogs by the statues in the middle of the map.) The 3 bosses are usually done after GHS.

You may be able to have fun on a summoner. They can still, probably, put out huge AOE and you get a pet to take hits for you, because its going to need to take a lot of hits because your damage is going to be crap.

It's less about outplaying the sin but more about the sin fucking up their combos. You can outplay the sin for 90% of the match and then make literally one mistake and lose.

30 second debuff, so it fucks up party decoy/dandelion stealth. Only time you really want to use it other than to skip trash is when you're on stealth duty in citadel.

You have to be very unlucky with the RNG evade or in a hot situation to blow smoke stealth, as it's mostly used as a last resort.

That's pvp in a nutshell really. You make a mistake and you get fucked hard for it. All good pvp systems should have something like that. Hell bns pvp is decided right at the opener at the top tier. There are always going to be match ups where you have to work twice as hard as your opponent in every video game. You just have to suck it up and make it happen no matter how hard it is.

Parties leave because they know they dont have the AP to clear 5-6. Even 700 parties still wipe from time to time since its a pug, so having that be your main aim to get into those is pointless. The time you spend wishing you could get into full 5-6s is the time you could be getting your shields anyway by just doing 1-4/3s
