Because people are idiots. It's great when you are doing elimination, your opponent runs away to pick up buffs and you either have to waste your time chasing or go do an entirely separate 1v1 because whatever teammate you decide and help will probably stop fighting cause muh honor.

It was honestly disappointing. I had fought his PK and Orochi leading up to it, and both of those he just did the basic bitch shit to try to make it work. Things like spamming Orochi uppers or PK zones. Turns out his ultimate technique was more of the same and throwing out like 9 GBs in a fight.

I didn't say it was a good match, only that it was interesting.

In Uplay friends list there is a 'friends suggestion' thing where it lists people you played with in other ubisoft games recently but i don't think it works with this game because mine is still full of people I played with in the Wildlands beta.

He will still be top tier if those are nerfed or even near entirely removed. He has lights that can function as pseudo-parries, uninterruptible heavies and the ability to feint, top tier stance swap speed, ability to dodge and jump attacks that make him mobile for a heavy, shield counter off a parry, heavy health without half the drawbacks of a heavy, a zone attack with forward distance, and his damage does not rely on combos. This is almost all built into his abilities and moveset, not simply numbers they can adjust.

So, you're not allowed to attack in this game right?

Seems like if I just turtle up and play defensively and read their feints, they can't do anything at all. Guard break to break my turtle and I just counter it. They try to feint and it only works a couple times if that before I catch on to their style. If they attack me, I just parry and get a free GB + heavy.

I started my first 2 reps with absolute suffering by choosing to attack, but ever since I've started only counterattacking my opponents, my gameplay experience has gone way up.

However, now I'm meeting other opponents who do the same as me. As I go up in level, me and my opponent both attack less and less. It actually got down to 30 seconds before me and this Warden I was dueling started scrambling to do damage to each other in hopes that whoever had the highest percentage of health left would win, but I guess it actually ends in a draw even if one person is 100% and the other has 1% left.

What are they gonna do to the game to make it so this doesn't happen at higher levels? I'm rep 5 now and I see more feints than actual attacks and both my opponents and I have our guard break counters almost perfect.

I never imagined a day when I would actually enjoy Dominion over dueling but I'm getting to that point because even chaos is more fun than the turtle fights.

Opinions on what could be done?
Maybe make running out of stamina disallow to parry, slow your guard changes and dodges or at least allow heavier chip damage?

For Honor, for me, is much more fun to watch than play. When you watch a good player playing a character you like or that is difficult to play, you can focus on the aesthetic of the fight a lot better without having to concentrate as much. It's a good watch, especially Shugoki or Kensei players.

There are way too many Warden players though.

Why is it that orochi's top light and zone, as well as warden's top light and zone, but not as bad, seem to go right through my guard?

And yes, I checked, I recorded it and went back to make sure my guard was in the direction of the attack, and it was.

I paid good money for this game, then a week later they introduce a Small patch (emphasis on small) which also introduced a fucking memory leak.

You can gb parry attempts already on SOME characters with particularly late feints or slow heavys like the law or raider but most of the top tiers have fast feint cancels and can tech the throw.

It is offensive because it makes going for a parry a massive risk that can be punished with a free heavy/instant ledge kill. Meaning people will actually block substantially more.

the only way you walk away from that is if you dodge roll backwards, then the situation returns to neutral and the warden is free to start the vortex again.

I've been trying to git gud with Shugoki, what are some helpful tips for dealing with peacekeepers and orochis? I've been trying my hardest to duel a lot of them, but the flurry of light attacks is unbearably hard to defend against. It feels like once they break your hyper armor you will rarely ever get it back due to the constant barrage of attacks and grab attempts, and that leaves you with pretty much trying to land a lucky parry and pray that you are near a wall. Any honest tips from any gokis or maybe assassin mains that fight gokis often?

I made my friend repeatedly Shield Slam and i'd try to dodge it with Kensei. Even when i knew it was coming and specifically timed my dodge, i only escaped about 40% of the time.

The timing on the dodge is super specific because of the obscene tracking and weird I-frames on the dodge, do it too late and you get beat during start up, do it too early and the cronq will do a 90 degree spin on the spot and smash you.

Theres a reason it works at tournament level. Its really damn strong.

for warden to cancel into a parry, he needs to read that you're going to attack. you seem to forget that the vortex working requires the warden to predict what you're going to do. this option is no different. also canceling to parry a side dash is miles easier than canceling to parry a PK light, because even if you know it's coming it's a bitch to time.

any situation can end with you being punished, my man, that's the fucking game. attacking ever can be punished. trying to vortex can be punished. trying to punish the vortex instead of just backrolling can be punished. i don't get your deal.

Warden is charging a shoulder bash. You have to read whether he's going to bash or GB cancel. If you get it right, you punish him. If you get it wrong, he punishes you. The chances are just as against him as with you.

So im a Warden and Kensei main

I know I know Warden is this and that but atleast I got good with kensei

My stats on both those heroes are really fucking good and I basically got both to rep 3 with max gear. So after I got those 2 pretty high up I wanted to try another hero

No other hero I have played has given me the rush kensei and warden gave me literally all other heroes feel like shit to me

The only one so far I have gotten to rep 1 is fucking OROCHI and I still dont fucking feel orochi yet I still play the fucking hero I cannot believe I actually am doing this with orochi

It can't hurt to go for the bleed, since that's more guaranteed. It also helps that Nobushi explicitly has a perk that lets her do more damage when an enemy is bleeding. So you want the bleed on first before you start trying to do big damage.

A good berserker can be frustrating but they only really have one way of playing, so they're predictable and not terribly difficult to deal with.

Orochi is more fair than PK, I'd say; they just deal fuckhuge damage and the top light spam is obnoxious. That said, while frustrating to fight, they're not wholly irritating.
