Is the US fag that was installing the update successful? You here?

Okay I'm the guy from last thread posting to report that:

On my U.S Console, downloading the update from the google drive posted in previous thread (Don't have link) of v33 and installing it WORKS fully and I have not lost my saves.

I still use Haxchi to launch into MochaCFW before I launch.

Looks like this just adds a DLC menu? No FPS performance or gamepad support, huh? I'm expecting way too much.

It's normal. Think of loadiine as a demo, because when you leave the first area the loading times will get much, much worse

Why do you NEED the US patch?

Please tell me your reasoning for this instead of just using the EU patch

I have an EU Wii U and the EU BotW, why can't I load up BotW from sysNAND, I'm sick of loading up Mocha everytime
>>
Since this has become botwg, where is the last memory point located ? There aren't any landmarks in the picture just generic woods.
>>
>>169899196
Because previously DLC/updates on Wii U/3DS had to be the same region, retard.
>>
So going through the Wii U guide, I get to the point where it's copying the nand to my sd for rednand. I left it as it was taking hours to do, and when I got up this morning it was on the "choose "user" screen. I ejected the SD card and powered down the wii. Copied all files back to sd, which was showing as smaller than it actually was so it looks like it partitioned ok. I put it back in the wii and booted up, made the sysnand folder, then booted up mocha with haxchi. However the folder is still there and my network settings which I deleted in my regular nand were also still deleted. Should I just try remaking the rednand?
>>

That's why I was asking, retard. There was no precedent for a patch to work on another region's game. Obviously a EUR patch would work on a EUR copy. I wasn't asking that. And obviously you can install a EUR copy on a US console.

I didn't delete it. The only thing I did to my SD card was that I put a game folder that I downloaded from uTik into the install folder. That's where it does, right? The guide never specified.

I'll double check my SD card, but some trickery will be afoot if the folder isn't there.

Would anything bad happen if I deleted the DS game from my Wii U, re-downloaded it and did the process over? I don't mind doing it if it gets me out of this troubleshooting limbo.
>>
Is there any reason to get the new update outside of not having to deal with the update prompt every time I want to play? Game is working fine, and I really don't want to set up my SD card for another big install again.

Unless there's a version of the update I can install that's less than 2 gigs?

>>169900551
Follow the guide. It's fool proof as long as you follow every step to the letter. You already have loadiine working which means you have homebrew launcher, so you're halfway there already.
>>
>>169900551
Don't use loadiine, it's obselete.
If you wanna run it properly you need to use WUP GX2 to inject the game to either your Wii U's HDD or a usb, but to do that you'll need a CFW.
Also there's basically 0 risk of bricking your console, and if you do then it'll be because you didn't follow the instructions, they're idiot proof

QUESTION

Can I hack my Wii U and play Zelda with a 16 GB SD Card? Last time I was told 32/64 GB but I forgot why.
>>
>>169900421

Is there still stuff in the folder?
>>
>>169901220
yes if you install it to the system
>>
>>169901229
Yep, it's all totally full of the same stuff there usually was.

Basically what happened was that I forgot the Wii U loads things from USB as a priority. I backed up everything before modding, and in the backup was the DS game I used. I reformatted my USB drive to get rid of everything and Haxchi came back after that, but it hasn't been working the same since.
>>
>>169901220
It's only that big if you want to clone your NAND.

I used Haxchi and only needed like 220 MB or however big Brain Age is.
Or you could use Mocha.
>>
>>169900539
Less complicated, less things to go through and works the same way, just fine and perfectly. All you need is an SD card (to access homebrew, store your games before installing) and an USB stick to install these said games.

HERE YOU GO NIGGERS, THE DEFINITIVE INSTALL GUIDE
LINK TO THIS POST WHEN A DUMB FAGGOT ASKS HOW

1. Download the fucking game files (258 files)
(USE MEGADOWNLOADER - IT CAN BE FOUND ON SOFTONIC THROUGH GOOGLE. COPY AND PASTE THE KEY IN OP)
2. Download the .tik file and rename it to title.tik (be sure you have extensions enabled or you can fuck up and rename it to title.tik.tik if extensions are hidden)
3. Place the title.tik files in the game folder (you should now have 259 files according to math)
4. Download the update
(USE THE DRIVE LINK. CLICK THE ADD TO YOUR DRIVE BUTTON IN THE TOP RIGHT. MAKE A COPY OF THE FILE YOU ADDED TO YOUR DRIVE THEN DOWNLOAD THAT.)
5. On your SD card you need to have a folder called 'install' where you will place the game folder and the update folder (name those 2 folders however the fuck you want)
6. Insert the SD card into the Wii U
7. Run a CFW (Mocha doesn't require anything special to set up so use it if you don't have one)
8. Run homebrew channel -> wup installer mod y -> install both folders (game and update folder in this order)
9. Start the game and have fun
6. Make sure you have wup installer mod y and use it to install those folders

As a matter of fact, it isn't.

Softmod works through a save. The controller ports are actually USB.

As for the tray, usually it's just the magnet stuck or the little elastic thing you need to replace. Put a little pressure on the tray, I don't remember which direction now, and it should work. There's also a little hole under the tray you can press that will release it. Most of this stuff is covered by that video.

They'll work online. Don't know shit about anything else. I'm just trying to install the USA update for BOTW now. It's my first installed title.

I know they'll work online because everyone says they do.

Xbox anon here. I've looked into it a bit further and now I'm debating whether a softmod or a TSOP mod is better.

RETARDED QUESTION TIME

Yikes, Xenoblade X is 33 GB with the DLC. Does it improve loading times or can I skip it? Says it's CFW only anyway. Can any old Wii U run CFW or do I need to have a DS game or something?

>>
>>169927890
It's a bit of a pain, but it's doable. TSOP is nice because you get the hardmod experience by flashing a BIOS and being able to unlock HDDs and play without a DVD drive connected, all without the wear that modchips cause on the hardware.
>>
uTikDownloadHelper lists BOTW USA and the update. Is this v33?
>>
>>169928540
Haxchi requires a DS game. Mocha requires an internet connection. I can't remember if the patch is required, but your game is going to run like ass without it, as some important assets are stored in the patch file separate from the main game so that playing the game from disc won't be so slow.

you can softmod every model, the easiest way is to disconnect the disc drive ide cable and turn on the console it will unlock the hard drive(with an error 12).
After that you can leave the xbox on and plug the hard drives ide cable into a old computer and install xbmc4xbox really easy.

if you want to replace the hard drive check here
http://xboxdrives.x-pec.com/?p=list

All this should work with a broken dvd drive; if you want to replace it with a generic drive it's more effort than it's worth.

In terms of gameplay, I absolutely love it, the fighting is exactly how all 3D Zelda games should (albeit without the annoying durability).
Exploring the world is really fun for me as well, admittedly the world is fairly empty, but I personally don't mind because it kinda makes it more rewarding when you find secrets.
The shrines are an alright concept, although I think it would've been smarter to group the puzzles together and make several optional dungeons/mini dungeons rather than what we have now, especially since some of the puzzles can be quite difficult.
The four main dungeons are completely out of the norm when it comes to Zelda dungeons, being largely puzzle based as opposed to a mixture of fighting and puzzles, additionally they're much smaller which is kinda disappointing, but, as with the shrines the puzzles are interesting enough to save the dungeons from being snooze-fests.
The bosses, however are the best parts of the dungeon, each has multiple phases, no obvious weakness and it actually takes some thought into figuring out how to beat them.
All in all I'd say the game is a solid 8/10. If they make a traditional 3D Zelda some time in the future then I hope they make it with the same sort of gameplay as BotW.

>>
>>169930396
I can't really agree about the bosses. The -blights I've done so far (water and fire) are largely pushovers, the first phase is just hitting them until half health and the second phase has been figuring out how to get around their one new attack which, when you consider how you only have so many runes and ways to attack the boss, is pretty trivial.

I hacked my 3DS with rxtools like two years ago.

It's still using the same version because I'm a lazy fuck.

>>
>>169931296
To be fair I've only done Thunder and Water, Thunder is annoyingly and stupidly fast in the first stage. I thought water was quite difficult, but then I remembered I had Urbosa's fury which made him a bit more of a pushover. I reckon I'm gonna save Gerudo for last in my next play through, Urbosa's fury is just so damn OP

I don't know why they felt the need to add voices and not voice link as well. I believe the creator said link would never be voiced but I didn't expect them to make a voiced game....

Alright, I hacked this motherfucker when it was on 11.2 and it was tits, but now with 11.3 knocking on the door I have no bloody idea of how to proceed

I've already read that I shouldn't accept the update when it pops up asking for permission and have been playing offline ever since
>>
if i delete EU version of BotW that i installed a few days ago and install the new US one can i keep my save file or will i have to start it all over again?
>>
>>169952537
don't update only applies to non hacked users as always
>>
>>169952414
On this note, I doubt that it will be this easy. The "memory" cutscenes seem to be FMVs from the noticable compression, and that means hardcoded subs are likely too. Which would make undubbing a lot harder than a simple file swap.
>>
>>169952671
Why couldn't Nintendo just do things right?
>>
>>169952671
>Which would make undubbing a lot harder than a simple file swap.
I don't follow. You want moonrune subs?
>>
Is the switch hacked yet? Not buying one until it is
>>
>>169952828
I have no clue. They literally have all the voice tracks on the Switch cartridge, but you can't play with one set of subs and another audio track. It's not a licensing issue, they're just fucking stubborn.
No way will I be touching a Switch until it's hacked. They proved that when it comes to localizations they're terrible on the Wii U, and now that they're continuing this trend, they can go fuck themselves.
>>
>>169952671
The memory cutscenes are mute mp4 videos.
The music and sfx track, and the voice acting track for whatever language selected, are added later.

It is this easy, you can try it with German/French audio already.
>>
>>169953108
Well fuck me that's good news. Nintendo didn't fuck this up at least.
>>
>>169953026
I wonder what switch hacks will be like considering they're bringing in a paid online service now. I couldn't get into ps3 hacking online. I accidentally logged into my main account when I first put cfw on my ps3. Didn't play online either and a few days later I was perma banned. 2000+ of my hard earned trophies gone alone with my friends list. Shit sucked but I got over it....sorta....

The switch would make a nice portable hack experience.
>>
>>169952637
So I'll have to stick to the offline until 11.3 is patched?
>>
>>169953218
in the case of those, will you still get to keep your save data if you change the audio tracks?
>>
>>169953218
The subs are not hardcoded either.

Undub needs these from JP game:
Folder under content/Voice (probably with JP in its name)
File under Pack named TitleBG something (actually has voice acted audio samples for quick loading)
Include the file under Pack called Bootup something while you're at it
>>
>>169953404

Repack?
Loadiine are just the guts of a Wii U game spilled out.
It makes modding much easier. Why would you want it otherwise?

But yeah, there's a way.
The SDK leak from Nintendo supposedly has a tool that can reassemble a WUD from files like that. Problem is that the damn thing is impossible to find anywhere because "piracy" and "ethics". If you do find it I would be indebted forever to you.
Yet no one bothered to code an open source equivalent. So for now for the average joe, converting to Loadiine is a one way street.

Basically just wondering if some of the homebrew programs and tools only show on TV or gamepad or both.
>>
>>169954228

If you can find the Wii U SDK leak and upload the wud rebuilding tool somewhere convenient (like darkumbra or wiiuiso)

then you might increase the number of non-Loadiine mods to a non zero value.

Until then, converting from Loadiine to WUD is still not possible.

So I need clarification on a few things.

>I have Haxchi installed

Now that I have Haxchi installed, do I NEED to install a CFW? Or does not having a CFW mean I need to patch some signitures?

How dangerous is patching the system itself?

How should I go about installing my US copy of Breath of The Wild, since I'm a Burger the .tik will work just fine right? Does the Update in the OP only apply to the EUR version?

Also, because I'm retarded, the update is for the GAME, not the system menu right?

Thx for bothering anyways, but that's not what I expected, lack of documentation doesn't help either.

Same with 3DS CFW not having a way to load .3ds roms directly without installation, because "cia are good enough", you'll have to live with Loadiine dumps until someone less apathetic will code something to solve this problem (wud converter, reverse one already exists).

You have to start the us game in order for the to be a save file to inject to. So you might as well dump the us save so you know what the folder name should be. Then just rename the euro save's folder to the us save's name, copy it to the inject folder (inject and dump saves have their own folders in saviine) and inject it.

so i've installed BotW with the brazillian method, and am letting it update regularly like all of my other titles installed the same way, but once it tries to apply the downloaded patch I get "Error 105-3687" and it stops

i've googled it a bit, and what i'm getting is the fact that I might have to delete the .tik file installed on my Wii U. how would i go about that

I have a few questions regarding the Vita hacking...

1. Do you need to re-enable the exploit to use what you've installed? Does the exploit give premissions to allow reading and writing to the uxo: directory?

2. Do you need to disable unsafe homebrew to install new homebrew?

3. Vitamin or maidump?

First FTP server is great.
Second Did you get molecular shell?
Then turn off the Vita then re-enable the exploit again.
Open molecular shell and toggle the unsafe homebrew option, then copy the vitashell.vpk which is deprecated.
Install it, then open it and start the FTP server/USB mode.

>>
>>169972095

Depends on what kind of hax you want.

Updating for browsers will enable browser hax's if you cut the int afterwards - browser hax's usually have quicker turnaround time and end up being slightly less dangerous. That said, you'd have to run it every time you ran the console, much like RxTools.

Not updating is best for firmhax's, which take longer and are more likely to brick the console, but give complete control over everything and run on boot.

Up to you, but either way turn off the internet after day one.

So do I have this right?

Pokemon Bank I presume I can just redownload, and all my mon will be there since it has nothing to do with the SD.

As far as I can tell, all I've really lost is my save file for Pokemon Blue. Given I had transferred my mon from that to Bank anyway, it's not that big a deal.

I really don't think I had anything else of value on there. I assume all my eShop purchases will still be remembered as having been purchased

You need to be running the server on pc in dump or inject mode, it isn't actually hanging it will eventually timeout unless it talks to the server.
Know that saviine will fuck with haxchi for the duration of the bootup, so get all your sig patching in before you run it.

Hey anons, I have some questions about PSVita hack.
I was reading the FAQ and I have some doubts about this:

Q. Is there anyway I can buy or download content from the Playstation Store if I'm not on the latest firmware?
A. If you own a PS3, you can buy your content from the store or website and transfer it using the Content Manager. If you want to download a PSP or PS1 game that denies compatibility from it's store page, you can install it using a PS3 as well.

Let's say I want to play Berserk on a PSVita with 3.60 firmware and Henkaku. Is it necessary to have a PS3 if I buy it on PSN store or is it possible even having only a pc?

>>
>>169978915
You can use original controllers yes. It's literally just a Wii that they shoved into the console, there is no difference afaik.
>>
>>169978915

>>
>>169979013

>>
>>169979340

>>
>>169979327

>>
>>169979416

Whiteknighting and turncoating in the exact same post.
I really do hate that place, but evidently not enough to stop visiting it for homebrew links, it's like visiting a zoo to look at idiots.
>>
>>169978276
bump
I just want to be sure I understand how freeshop works
>>
where do you get weapon slot upgrades
>>
>get my sd set up as the guide says
>loads up the homebrew menu just fine through loadiine.ovh
>guide says I need to change a single file on the sd
>now loadiine.ovh freezes every time I try to run it
What the fuck is going on here
>>
>PS VITA
My brother launched adrenaline while the henkaku exploit wasn't activated.
Now it won't even launch anymore and gives an error even after applying the exploit.
Should I remove then reinstall it again?
>>
>>169980147
Big korok, you first find him on the trail to Kakiriko from dueling peaks
>>
>>169980227
super comfy office
eh, you could try. did you reboot first and try again?
>>
>>169980036
The NUS works thus:
>Freeshop: Give me [titleid], version [latest]
>Server:Sending [thing] you asked for.
>Freeshop: Installing [thing] using titlekey from remote database stored locally for cache purposes.
>(You): I love free games.
>>
switchax when
>>
>>169980475
it's the titlekey part that I'm not sure about. Is that something you'd need to manually download and store on your SD?
Or would you be good to go as soon as you've installed the freeshop cia?
>>
>>169980614
You're not actually asking how it works then more so what you do to make it work, massive difference.
Press the qr button on titlekeys site next to the enctitlekeys button, scan that in freeshops settings menu and it will pull the bin down automatically from now on.
>>
>>169980340
I did.
Turned it off.
Run henkaku again
run adrenaline
Same issue.
Do I need to remove the bubble and the pspemu content as well?
>>
>>169980289
is he near the stable?
>>
>>169981207
>Do I need to remove the bubble and the pspemu content as well?
I had to one time. that might be worth trying, actually. it worked for me.
>>
>>169981209
Past the stable, walk up to Kakiriko village from there and he's hard to miss.
>>
>>169981209
He's outside Kakiriko nearly.
>>
I keep getting this message, i dont know what i'm doing wrong because i dowloaded several times the game (from wii usb and utik) and it still keep saying that is not a game or a dlc.

i also formated the SD several times but still doesnt work.
>>
>>169981323
Will do.
I've used this
https://github.com/Freakler/vita-AdrenalineEasyInstaller/releases/tag/v1.05
It installed it all, including the 661 firmware and the demo game.
Should I go for it again or try the manual method?
>>
is the Zelda Wind Waker HD wii u hackable?
>>
>>169981489
run the par2 file against it to check for corrupt files
>>
>>169981574
Every Wii U is hackable at the moment. It'll probably stay that way since Nintendo don't seem to give a shit about updating it.
>>
>>169981489
>facebook
fuck off
>>
>>169981605
wow realy? so i could get a up to date firmware and hack it, shit why doesnt nintend care about the wiiu but stil care about the 3ds
>>
On Wii U if I accidentally install a games update/DLC before I install the game will everything work okay?
>>
>>169981678
because they pulled them from the shelves and new ones are like $400+
>>
>>169981021
ok that makes sense I think

another question; while exploring freeshop for the first time i accidentally started downloading a random game. I cancelled it before the download progressed very far. Will Nintendo have noticed that somehow?
