It's the opposite, she is important because she is the best 1PP and otherwise you might be passing until turn 3. I've been playing a similar list with 4 May and you are going to lose to aggro more often without her.

I've lost a few games where I needed to pull a Roach and got May, but it's almost always against Haven. Most of the time, you don't need 3 roaches anyway, with bounces you often combo with 2 anyway.


If you have a bounce heavy hand and only 1 roach, you can even play a bunch of cards, hit face and bounce back to hand. Then next turn play it twice for lethal.

You have cards to play, but you won't always draw them with the much lower density of low cost cards.

The main problem I've had with the deck is beating aggro (Sword and Shadow, Blood isn't that difficult), where May helps, rather than long control games where I failed to draw my roaches.

The deck can definitely work without May, I'm just not sure if its optimal. I suppose you'd want 3x Selwyn's both for chip damage and removal depending on the matchup.

You're likely new here but it's often said that dirt rune is almost another class in its entirety for how different it is from normal rune.

Imagine. For every effect that you would want to happen, you either:
>have both sigil and activator in hand, with PP
>have sigil on board with card in hand
>have activator but no sigil
>have no good cards in general
If you pack your deck with too many sigil, then you'd have no good effect to activate with it. Too many activators, you start getting PP inefficient followers without monumental effects. It's a difficult deck to make, and even then all you do is affect the board. You don't win, your opponent just somehow fails to defeat you riven with your inherent handicap.

it can also play controlly to an extent against aggro because you are also able to include some tools to keep aggro away,

my understanding of why daria killed midrange is because you're not fast enough to beat daria in a face race thanks to all her burn spells, removal with piercing rune/levi, and follower spam,
but you also aren't going to win the battle of longevity because she will just reload her hand and keep spamming followers/burn while you're run dry.
daria itself is a midrange deck, but pretty much just better than the other ones.

Most people who play HS, OW, HotS do so because they're blizzdrones from WoW or because they're following streamers who are blizzdrones from WoW. In Korea's case they get to play for free in pc bangs, which makes up for the absolute blunder that was SC2 I guess.

Making 0 cost fairies any other way than evolving the 4 drop is too big of a tempo loss
They have 2 overpowered gimmicks floating the whole craft above the waterline, elf and roach.
