Hyrule field refers to a place on the southern end. If you have the tower and can see the map, it's the lake just north of the plateau, the picture I believe was taken in the forested area on the west side of the lake, facing the ruins on the east side.

You have to get Fireproof Elixirs from the stable called Foothill Stable. Its the start of the path to Gorgon City. Buy 3 of them to be sure, 180 rupees total.

Just follow the road till the mining area. Now you have a choice, skip this if you have a ton of money since you can just buy the armor when you get to gorgon city. Or do this part.

There is a Hylian sitting there in a flameproof helmet, talk to him. He will trade his flameproof ARMOR, not helmet, for 10 fireproof lizards. The best way to do this is to take a picture and activate them on your sensor. All of them are around that little mining area and constantly respawn. Won't take longer than a minute or two to do this. Then just trade for the armor.

Honestly, it is hard AT FIRST, once you get 2-3 shrine upgrades and enhance you gear at the fairy fountain you will die 1/10th as often as you used to, as now you will have more health/stamina and will only take half hearts of damage from basic attacks rather than 2-3 hearts

The biggest problem with the game is Guardians, they're all damage sponges, the spider one has 1500 health. For some weapons that's like 40-50 hits, and a lot of weapons dont even have that much durability, and it really shows the problems with weapon durability, hard. Something like New Vegas has durability, but you can repair weapons, and they last quite awhile. Here everything's made of glass. Meaning if you fight a bunch of them you're gonna be out of weapons quick. Add to the fact the "Guardian" weapons and Ancient Arrows are EXTREMELY expensive (about 200 some rupees AND items for a single Ancient Arrow, 1000 rupees for the cheapest Guardian weapon) and it's just a shitshow waiting to happen

Remember that the Master Sword was never considered the strongest in Zelda lore, just tailored to beating Ganon, which stays true in this game. Even in OoT for example the Biggoron Sword outdamaged it.

Once you've got them, head into goron city and buy the armor from the shop, you don't need the headpiece. 1100 rupees in total, I think.
