What makes Micolash such a meme? What is is about him that had such potential to be such a huge in-joke? Micolash is arguably the big bad of the game, head of Mensis, overseeing the ritual that caused the moon to come down and cause rhe beast problem to explode, responsible for kidnapping all those people and melting them down in Yahar'gul, Micolash is the game's main villain, really.

I think one part is the Kos/Kosm dichotomy, it's a perfect thing for a community to latch on to and take sides over for fun, and he introduces this bizarre, seemingly pointless divide. I think also it's that he's so tonally out of left field - a whooping, laughing, howling lunatic talking to himself wearing a cage on his head. And he's just a human, not a beast, or kin or undead Pthumerian, he's just a person.

I honestly love Micolash, he's a fucking great character.

Finally, FINALLY beat all the Old Hunters bosses. All that's left now is the Chalice Dungeons.

When I was like Lv70 I nope'd out of Lower Pthumeru because of the Bell Bitches summoning Spiders who took half my health away with every swipe. Any recommended level for the Depth 3, 4 and 5 dungeons? Should I go NG+, beat that and then do the Chalices?

The host has to blood bullet in a FC because then you're roughly the same HP as your invader.

No healing, no vials, rally is okay and if you get a message rated, allow the other person to heal.

If you are the host, as in if you summoned someone else into your world to PVP, hit up on the d-pad to make 5 blood bullets which will then lower your health to the amount theirs is lowered upon being summoned. Summoned opponents only have 70% of their health, making blood bullets removes 30% of yours, so it's fair.

BB and BoM are not good Skl/Arc weapons, no weapon is. Just stick to Skill with them. You could just use Claw on the Strength build. Str/Arc will probably be a bit easier than Pure Arc since you could slot Physical gems on your weapons most of the time. If you want insane Tool damage, go pure Arc. If you want more weapon options, go Str/Arc.

Bloodborne is partially linear; It has linear progression in some places but is open-ended in other places. It is linear because Gascan>Amelia>Rom>TOR>Memeolash>Wet nurse are required and always in that same sequence. The game has a very clear progression path with branching areas that eventually loop back on each other. I don't think you can actually skip anything.

Central Yharnam leads to Cathedral Ward leads to Old Yharnam, then Hypogean Gaol (optional version of Yahar'gul) which leads back into Old Yharnam.
Also, Cathedral Ward Lecture Hall and Frontier (once you have the tonsil stone), also leads to Hemwick which leads to Cainhurst, dead end. Later on leads to Upper Cathedral Ward.

Woods lead back into Central Yharnam, then to Byrgenwerth which by way of Rom's fight leads back to the Cathedral Ward and Yahar'gul.

Yahar'gul leads back into Lecture Hall and then Mensis is its own area. Also provides key for UCW.

Point is, you have to go forward to go back. I believe Cainhurst and Mensis are the only dead ends which don't lead back somewhere else. It's a connected world for sure, but only half one way.

Pump VIT to 30 (bare minimum for any character, 50 preferable) before any other stat. Weapons dont scale well untill higher upgrade levels anyway so theres no point in leveling them early game anyway. Base END is fine but never go over 20, you have runes that do the same job.

Because when you get over the confusing layouts, most areas are really just a straight line with occasional short side-paths. Even the oh-so-confusing lower Forbidden Woods are literally just a winding path you can follow if you have no interest in exploring.

Non-linear means you can do mandatory elements in an order of your choosing, but in Bloodborne you cannot.

You WILL start in Central Yharnam, you WILL then go to Cathedral Ward, then the only way to proceed is to go to the Forbiden Woods, then Byrgenwerth, then Yahar'gul, then Nightmare of Mensis and Mergo's Loft, done. You cannot skip any of these and every single other area is completely optional.

You could slap 20 Arc on a Skill build for Exe gloves, they won't be used for damage though. Just pressure, stagger, setups and what not. It's better to put 25 Str for BB. 25 Arc gets you Tiny Toni and 30 gets you Brew, both are only good at higher Arc. You can go 50/50 Skl/Arc without going over 120 though, you'll just have to live with base End and around 40 Vit which isn't bad.

What the fuck are you smoking? Do you actually enjoy having every boss fight take fifteen minutes? The higher you pump your scaling stats, the more damage you do, the faster enemies die, the less Vit you need.

Granted, I don't claim to be the pro in this game, but so far I've always pushed my main attacking stat to 25 before I even touch Vitality (unless I play a Noble Scion, fuck that 7 base Vit) and I never felt I was too fragile.

If you want duels you'll wanna get better gems and level higher, most times opponents will be using CD gems at 80-120. Burgertown is always active for Twinks, lots of ganks to run into and it won't be hard to find the Host due to how small the area is. You won't really find duels as Twink though.

pick any starter, get saw spear, go 14/15 and go through to hemwick as normal, by the time you get the cainhurst summon you should be at 20vit 14/15 and the rest in blt so you can hit hard with bone ashed repeating pistol. kill logarius (i did this 2nd try with the above stats and a +5 spear and +6 repeater) sell crown knight set to affford chikage, get it to +7 with dlc items, kill simon for bow, do dlc and get bloddletter. then go full korean and farm offshapes for 15 hours

Bloodtinge builds don't have much variety compared to all the other builds, in my opinion not going str/blt is a bit of a waste since you don't get to use three of the most unique blt weapons (gatling, cannon, church cannon) and the untricked bloodletter (not a very strong weapon, but you can do nice combo with it + the tricked form).
Pure blt is fine if you just want to one-shot everything with the Chikage, but boring otherwise.

Your stats are good, you could choose to stay at 98. Nourishings are farmed once you've finished the story dungeons and have created an FRC root. Once you have, you're gonna want to search glyphs online (stuff in the OP) so you can create them and farm enemies/bosses for gems.

Nourishing Radials are from Gargoyles/Rom, Triangles and Wanings are from Amygdala. Most choose Gargoyles over Rom since it's easier to farm and not much weaker. As for farming Amy, you've got the right stats to gem up a Fire Stake Driver to 3-shot Amy. You're gonna need to farm 2 Cold Abyssals and a 27.2% Fire Triangle or Hotdog Abyssal for it though. Or just spam gloves and jump cheese.

As a general rule for builds, 20 END is usually fine, and you'll want to hit 50 VIT for the health hardcap. Shit will wreck you in NG+ or multiplayer.
Depending on your weapon you may not even need the 20 END, but I find that it's nice to have so that you can get a few extra dodges in a tight situation.

Assuming you're gonna stick to around 14 Skill for Chicago, you can use a +9 Saw for both of them. BB Pellets and Papers will be enough to carry you. If you need more damage, dip into a few CD's, Lower Pthumeru 2nd Layer "Lumpy" guarding the lever drops cursed Radials going up to 20.6%. Mainly pump Vit, should be around 30 for both. Logi is easy to parry, Ludwig will need to be learned.

Fight unlocked. It makes it way easier to dodge that charge. As for the swipes, you just have to get the timing down. They're easy to dodge, and you can just sprint out of range even. Bait the headslams and then punish.

Bait head slams, watch out for the charge and swipes. With 40 Vit you should be able to survive the charge, maybe even with a bit less. The Rock isn't guaranteed, it's a small chance of dropping. You could also hug the right side (her left). She'll keep moving so you'll wanna move with her while getting a few hits in. Sometimes it's better to take the charge without evading since running and dodging will make you take more damage if it hits.

Amygdalan Arm will always have shit arcane scaling no matter how much you focus you put on it, but the str scaling is pretty good by itself, so you might as well maximize that.
The untricked form does have some hyper armor, but its range is so short you will never catch anyone with it. The tricked form on the other hand is hard to predict and has great R2s and dash attacks, so use that in pvp.

Some dungeons count as "story" dungeons, they're pre-made and feature all the unique dungeon bosses (except for two) + some that you met earlier. At the end of the story dungeons there's a final boss that's fun as fuck to fight, very unique. Beating it gives you a trophy too if you're going for the plat.
There are also randomized dungeons, but those are just for fun + farming optimal equipment.

There's a bunch of unique chalice bosses. Yharnam, bloodletting beast, hot dog, the undead giants, pthumerian descendant, pthumerian elder. The abhorrent beast is almost unique.

Can anyone give me some pointers on how to defeat the Bloodletting Beast? The one in Lower Pthumeru, I mean.

I've beaten the whole game and DLC, but that piece of shit just won't die. The whole standing-between-the-legs thing doesn't work so well when it either moves away like a spastic squirrel or grabs me and then squeezes half my health out of me.
Should I just try to out-damage it with a serrated fire weapon or is there another trick I should know other than practice and git gud?
