Also - remember that by nerfing those two classes Warden's winrate might increase and thus he will need an adjustment next. It is a constant process.

Conquerors have a higher winrate across the board because:

1. They punish low-skill players, aka the majority of the playerbase. The player skill distribution is not a normal curve, it is skewed heavily downwards.

2. IMO they attract players who prefer defensive play to blind aggression. This has two effects: it attracts players who are willing to get better at reacting to their opponent (rather than just blindly rotating through a series of fast startup attacks and crutching on their overtuned speed to win the slot machine against the other player, like "high-level" Peacekeepers currently do), and currently defensive play is somewhat stronger than offensive play to begin with.

Whatever. Nerf some aspects of Conqueror, sure. But whatever happens, they ABSOLUTELY MUST buff Conqueror's heavy attack to 25 damage from 23, or else it will be physically impossible for Conqueror to win a 1v1 against a coward.

I don't know. I sucked at warden when I started, so I played and understood the mechanics of every other class only to get back to warden.

Lo and behold! I started winning like crazy. I still don't know what I'm doing, don't know what my next move should be, or what the hell will I randomly click in warden's vortex, but I do know every other class I face, when to block, dodge and to parry.

People say that debuff resistance helps you recover from a parry so you can CGB, but as lawbringer I've never been able to. Has anyone playing lawbringer ever been able to recover from being parried to CGB or is he just too slow?

If you're on PC using keyboard, then you either have to weight your keys, or run a script, so your character isn't considered afk, since they're moving around.

If he's played defensively he has borderline no openings (unless you're in shitter MMR, which it sounds like you are).

Add to this the fact that his Shield Bash is literally non-punishable on reaction for a large portion of the cast and it's easy to see why he could potentially be casuing a problem.

It's all of course been exacerbated by the fact that Conqs offense game outside of Shield Bash was non-existent due to the fact that his lights were guaranteed punish on block.

All Conq needs is possibly a little tweak to shield bash to make it less of a safe option now that his lights are fixed and he actually has buttons to push on offense.

No, the guard break is tech-able. Characters with the faster dash attacks actually have an option if they react early enough but at a certain distance it changes from reaction to prediction and that's almost never a good situation.

Playing conqueror is the most fun I've had since street fighter 4 ae. The wound up r2 is so much fun. The hits are satisfying, blocks are satisfying, its actually taking me away from mgsv and I have 97% completion on it.

The problem is in the chain mechanic. It was intended to be interrupted by parries only. That's why conq's blocks are referred to as mini-parries. They don't get the reaction frames other characters get when blocking while the opponent reels into his bounce animation. They're still inferior to proper parries, though they make a terrific guard break opening.

Borderline nothing besides helm-splitter is safe in footsies, you're too slow.

Only use side-dash strikes on reaction when dodging attacks, they're nice but easily parry-able.

If you get a GB - unlike most characters Kensei's side heavy does more damage than his top heavy (40 vs 30).

If you GB an opponent near a wall, throw them into it, you get a free un-blockable top heavy which is your biggest damage single attack (45).

Condition your opponent by almost always feinting your third-hit top heavy into the side heavy strikes, do it enough and you can catch people by actually letting the top heavy complete sometimes. Alternatively, you can feint the side-heavy feint itself for crazy mind-games to bait out parries or get a free GB.

Feint, feint, feint. Because Kensei's strikes are so easy to parry it's very easy to bait out parries yourself by feinting your attacks.

Like if you're bad and you go up against a good Conqueror, he can take off over half of your fucking health bar in a single hit. His shield bash gives you a heavy against bads too, which leads to ANOTHER shield bash+heavy.
Like this all changes if you know what you're doing, but if you don't he can do a Charged Heavy "parry", shield bash, side heavy, shield bash, side heavy and then he executes you. I actually did this to one guy who tried to GB me while I was charging my flail and my bashes hit him into the wall for guaranteed heavies- he made ONE wrong button press (that could have paid off if I didn't predict him) and he was fucking 100-0 without being able to do ANYTHING

Mostly I worry that they're GOING to fuck with him and he's going to be worthless in high level play outside of ganking. For every nerf to his defense, he should get a serious consideration to an offensive trade off.

I'd agree with that as a LB main, a LB is a genuine disabler and can set up kills for allies like no one else in the game, combined with keeping the pressure on with his fucked up swing speeds and bashes he makes trying to focus on a target a living nightmare.
He's also not terrible at surviving when he's facing multiple people but good luck killing anything.

He's a very unrewarding character most of the time, like healers in other games, you set other people up to do cool shit and get nothing in the end.

Can any high rep laws give me advice on beating rep 5+ PK's who know how to feint and counter 95% of my grabs?

-I can't long arm because that's suicide,

-I can't grab because I'm playing with people who aren't brain dead and know how to tech and expect it from lb

- I can't feint because while she feints a lot she also throws a lot of lights and they always ruin my feint into light or gb attempt

-I have to keep my guard on the right side and I can't seem to guard any other direction in time because her attacks are faster.

-Parrying is almost a fucking impossibility.

What do I do? Slowly but surely the careful pk takes her time to whittle my health down and all I can do is hope a grab goes through. I can't even punish her dodges with a grab either despite being close enough, which confuses the shit out of me.

I find it really throws people off. It has insane range and if you charge it side and throw it top very few people expect a top heavy from a Conq and you can throw it from a range they don't even see where it's coming from until you're mid-swing. It can severely punish GBs if you predict it right (but if they outpredict you, they get a free GB. Fair trade.)
You can also use it like you'd use a parry, and while it can be blocked on light attacks I'm pretty sure it connects on MOST heavies.

Currently conqueror main here, ~50 hours in, played him since beta and now im getting a bit bored playing him, it was fun vs scrubs but now at somewhat higher level where engaging with conq is a pure suicide it just a waiting game until your opponents fails asleep and make some mistake, its not that enjoyable anymore and i guess that the upcoming nail will just be another nail in the coffin so i wanted to try and main another character

I was mostly thinking about kensei, berserker, valkyrie or lawbringer but cant decide so i wanted some help/suggestions
I mostly want it to excel at duels, something that can exploit mistakes people make, just like conqueror does and hit hard,
Also it being difficult isnt a problem, or rather its better if it is, because i dont want to play an over popular class either
and it needs its mythical and heroic gear to look fucking great

Parry is your best friend.
Feinting is much more effective against assassins than other classes since they're more likely to dash attack in response, which they can't cancel.
Don't be afraid to go through with the unblockable once in a while, sometimes you can catch people off guard by being a dumbass. Plus the thing has tracking like a magnet.
Cancel into side heavy opposite of the direction you think the assassin's dashing, or at least against Orochis. They dodge right, you hit left. Won't be consistent otherwise.
Stay very far away from warlords and conquerors.

Is there any new tech I'm not aware of now. Some players complained about a vortex but I'm not seeing it. Sure she has varying strings and a mixup off shield bash but the endears use lots of stamina.

Having lights have a chance to connect after a shield bash is nice and makes the move worth doing as you switch between attacking after a bash or going for a sweep. I throw in some uncharged shield tackles just to keep the opponent on their toes. Am I missing anything?

Depends on the player.
If a bad conq does it he's saying, "Guard break me."
If a good conq does it he's saying, "Guard Break me, I dare ya!"

Mostly rarely used at higher level play because they're telegraphing a heavy attack. Its a great way to use the charge attack right at the right time to parry, since a conq won't get punished for a botched parry.

LB is not fucking NUNU because they both have similar roles. LB literally cannot deal damage to someone who knows how to parry/tech/dodge. In League, Nunu doesnt NEED to do damage because of his CC and utility. Similar to LB. They differ, however, because For Honor is a game where you NEED to be able to defend yourself and be rewarded for doing well with okay damage. Aside from the fact that LBs damage is harder to get off than the rest of the cast, its INCREDIBLY weaker that most as well for no fucking reason. The only time you really say "wow that law really did a lot of damage" is when you actively let him corner you against a wall and vehemetly refuse to use your parry ability. Meanwhile, Lawbringer cannot buy 5 fucking tank items like Nunu can. Nunu with LB tier squishiness would be 100 times worse than an AP Aatrox with Lethality runes. Thats why comparing vaguely similar roles in this case doesnt make sense because of specific mechanics (such as said tank items for Nunu.).

And there you go, actual bonuses that can complement your class and help define your role in Dominion without turning you into a rape machine.
