I'm aware of why they changed it, and how, I just wish they tuned it so that the reflex and red dot were still much smaller like they were on most guns before the patch.
The reason I liked the red dot on some guns was because it was slim,and the dot felt accurate. Now compared to the holo the frame is way thicker and obscures more, and the dot is fat as shit.

Any advice for a more effective castle? I usually leave windows with standard barricades and tend to use castle on the rooms next to the objective rather than on the objective room itself. Is there a way to use him better?

sounds like you got some clue how to play Castle, although he can be pretty good on windows. And together with Mute they basically need Ash or Sledge to open them which can take quite some time. The key thing is to not put the barricades between the bombsites. Also in general it is almost always the right thing to connect the bombsites.

Just keep talking and make good/important calls even if they dont help you you can help them by calling out important stuff. It gets better with higher ranks but even on Diamond on PC the communication is kinda hit and miss with randoms. Try to add people that have good communication and play with them.

What some good Castle players do is go to the room above the bombsite, open hatches and maybe even the floor at some points and camp above the bombsite with another teammate. There you can use your castle barricades to make it even harder for the enemy team to push you away and they will have to waste a lot of time. And incase they dont bother you have a great angle and quick rotation.

Good examples of this are Consulate or Border where you can use this quite effectively. Could also help on Kanal and several other maps where a this strat gets even better with a castle in the mix.

Not necessarily. You can outsmart a player on their own but you can't watch every angle yourself. This was my experience solo queuing placement matches after being Diamond last season, where your teammates are so bad every match is basically a 1v5. It's a team based game, you need your team to pull their weight. Siege is not like CS where you can just out-aim everyone.

Actually, I'd argue that carrying in Siege is easier than carrying in CS, for the same reason as I listed in an earlier post >>169735775

In CS aiming is literally 90% of the game, whereas in Siege you can create your own opportunities if you're smart by using the destructible environments and just overall good map awareness.
When a duel is up to aim vs aim, the person who is more skilled will come out on top majority of the time.
But in Siege there's an added element of surprise by making your own angles through walls, floors, etc. where a smart player can triumph over one with inherently better aiming skill.

You can have a fair idea of what they're going to do, but there's not much you can do when there's 3 entrances being breached at once and 2 of your teammates are on the other side of the map and the other two are dead.

This is about a dude trying to say he doesn't belong in bronze.
Now assuming everyone has equally shitty aim in bronze, the person complaining could carry himself out of bronze by simply playing smart, because the other bronzies aren't.

In CS where everyone in a lobby has equal aiming skill, carrying as a single person is harder because you can't create an advantage for you and will pretty much always lose to duel to someone more skilled than you.

Vek gets shit because he shows no sign of improvement in his fundamentals, which is in part because Reddit coddles the fuck out of him, but a big part of being a good artist is seeing the flaws in your own work without having others point them out for you.

This is correct. Placing one jammer at the seem of two wall segments covers two wall segments. Placing one in a corner also covers the two wall segments touching that corner.
-It covers the whole wall. Placing it in between two segments will stop a Hibana charge at the far, top corner of the protected wall, even if it's many feet wide. In other words, if the jammer protects a wall, it protects the whole wall, not just the wall area inside the AoE.
-It only covers two segments. Even for very skinny strips of wall (Plane Meeting Room, Bartlett Kitchen), it will cover only the two segments touching the seam, nothing more, even if the red circle were to touch more than two.
