after that I proceed to getting my arcane boots (though honestly I don't know if you even need given that the +2 mana regen talent takes care of practically all your mana needs) and depending on whether I'm needed as an initiator or whether I can afford to take it slow, I'll get a blink or aghanim's respectively
after that you can just get the big items you want (refresher's orb, octarine, etc) because provided you're diligent in placing eyes of the forest everywhere, you'll be raking in 500+ gold every minute or so

Because people are greedy. The LC is greedy because going shadow blade means she has a slightly higher chance of winning the 1 skillpoint duel solo vs the enemy safelane carry, because she isn't going to do something stupid like rely on her teammates for damage.

Shadow blade also counts on the enemy being extremely greedy. Lower chance of dedicated supports in a game, lower chance of any supports spamming sentries and dust becuase muh aghanims, lower chance of cores having DUST WHEN THEY FUCKING SHOULD WTF, WHAT IF THE SUPPORT GETS KILLED, NOW YOU HAVE NO DETECTION VS WEAVER/LC. YOU HAVE 9 SLOTS YOU CUNTFUCK STORM SPIRIT, THE THIRD DUSTLESS GANK ISN'T GOING TO GO ANY DIFFERENTLY.

Silver edge is near mandatory vs obnoxious passives though, like PA. That's preferably after you have blink and a decent chunk of duel damage from enemy supports.

but going maelstorm first and then yasha manta into mjollnir is probably faster

maelstrom just needs to be fucking nerfed actually is great on any hero and it's one of the strongest "first itens" you could get due to how much it speeds up your farm
