I get the point in Mozu in Birthright since the units you recruit are level 5 and such.
But in Conquest the units you recruit are already level 7 when she arrives so she is just too far behind to catch up at that point.
Plus E rank bows/Lances is just something that kills her viability since that puts her damage output to -2 over everyone else before factoring in strength.
