I was thinking about trying something that is not "pick the best 4 stars magicians/aqua/dinosaurs" you can get and I looked at the featured decks.

The thing is, I don't see what's the point of the whistles, is it a tech against something really common at high level?
Also, I don't like the yomi ships without the aqua boost, the pandas and the lack of magic/traps removal (I'd probably use twisters) and I've become fond of my wonder balloons.

Any ideas as to what final list I should focus on obtaining and what character use with the deck?

So how does this work?
Some days ago someone tried to destroy my Windstorm of Etaqua so I activated it beforehand, but he was still able to set his monster in attack position afterwards and attack with it. I figured it was because he was still during his Main Phase when I activated it, but today I tried to destroy my opponent's Windstorm and he did the same thing, unless I couldn't change my monsters back to attack position.He didnt have any grarl axe on the field.
