So I stopped playing shortly after pendulums were announced because it seemed obscenely degenerate and I was tired of any deck that wasn't xyz turbo being treated as second class citizens, and then they had to go and add a mechanic that might as well have read "summon 5 xyz materials of your choice for free" which is retarded.

I heard that the field changes that are coming with LINK summoning are killing pendulums and making extra deck less degenerate. Is this true? Is the game worth coming back to?

When it comes to YGO, you make your money off of good trades and winning packs, NOT by buying cards unless you're investing for the long term.
