Example: broken SS does a hollow's crazy flailing / jump. Lothric SS gets the long distance lunges of the knights.

The dark is simply what awaits after the first flame dies. The abyss is humanity, which are little bits of the dark soul, gone wild and rampant. When you unleash the abyss it means you and a bunch of other people made your collective humanity go out of control for some stupid reason.

Wolf Knight Greatsword, Hollowslayer greatsword, Onyx if going pyro.

For Ugs, I like Farron Greatsword. Low damage for a big weapon, but a fast combo moveset and the dual dagger/sword attack adds like 80 damage if you hit with the dagger and the sword together.

You probably want to use it on Straid instead, you can cash in your Dragonrider Soul for any of his weapons, all of which deal Magic damage.

Rosabeth offers Pyromancies, not Sorceries, and the only reason you go that way is if you plan to Ascetic Najka and Freja for their stuff, since the other two paths are locked.

The reason that any given cop isn't getting summoned at any given moment is because other cops are getting summoned. The WoB and associated covenants work so well that everyone's in them, which is why a blue shows up in every invasion.

Being a cop won't really be fun until we get a blue orb or DS3 is dead and there's nothing but PvP shitters and PvE fags.

the point of effigies in DaSII is the same as purging stones, to take the curse into itself. Effigies aren't giving you humanity, they're removing it.

on the topic of the dark soul, another thing to remember is that the dark soul is cursed to burn away and leave its owner hollow. normally it is white, when the curse starts to burn and the soul begins turning into a void, you get humanity.

the dark soul burns, and is dark, because the pygmy commited the first sin. biblically, original sin was humanity gaining the wisdom of the gods, and it led to the entirety of humanity being branded as sinners for eternity.

tl;dr pygmy's "dark" soul is white. when he gave it to humanity he commited the first sin, causing him and his entire bloodline to become eternally cursed. the curse causes their souls to burn away, leaving a hollow void.

Doing my DaS2 playthrough, just finished Sinner. Fuck this game is good, it's all the little things I love. Camera and movement were a little off when I started playing. I prefer 2's backstab/riposte style, I love that Strike damage actually does better against armored enemies, better fashion, more diverse weapons to choose from. If they could go back and tweak some small things, get rid of Soul Memory and update the graphics, I'd buy it again.

Like 1 week from the release i realised how amazing ganking in catacombs is. I got like 90 tongues in 2 days, not because i'm GUD, but because its so fucking easy to trick people with balls, bridge, the bone-zone, etc.
