Considering Tsumugi takes a lot of credit for things she didn't do and straight up lies about others, I don't think she's responsible for as much of the game as she says she is. Killing Amami, creating the remembering lights and monitoring the video feeds, sure, but I don't think she was the one to build the school or write out everyone's personalities/talents.

Were it not for Amami complicating things, I would think TDR doesn't even exist at all and that too is HICKSHON. Regardless I don't think this TDR is the one that put on the previous killing games because of some inconsistencies with Amami's actions and reactions.

Okay, but let's look at it this way. The only part of Ouma's design that's remotely Supreme Leader-like is his hat and cloak but not only is this never seen in-game even in his room, he's wearing it only in his motive video and even that establishes he was a prankster leading 10 clowns including himself and he was never an evil leader to begin with.

If TDR wanted to make him look like the Supreme Leader and be suspected they sure did an even worse job of it than their security measures on Kiibo, which is why I'm reasonably sure TDR did not in fact have any part in designing his uniform at least.

Maybe the "I is horse" clue was pre-written, and Ouma was only able to figure out the second half of the puzzle in chapter 5, when he had control over the exsials and could make it to the talent room safely. He definitely wrote the second clue (the twins one) in the boiler room, though, because it ties directly into his "will" that they find in his room.

However I think he said he wrote the horse clue/the world belongs to him statement from the beginning, but he is a liar who lies so it's very unclear.

Regardless, he had both halves of the puzzle come chapter 5 and the means to get in because the exsials weren't against him. I think he went into that room.

I mean, there is an argument that inserting new memories into a person will change their personality. For example, even if Maki was a kind, emotional person before, inserting years of memories of her being trained as an assassin and killing people would harden her emotions to match it without necessarily changing her personality directly. Likewise, Hoshi would probably become pretty cynical and suicidal after having memories of being a death row prisoner shot into his head. The psychological dissonance of having these entirely foreign memories in their heads would induce a personality change.

Tsumugi lies out her ass during the entire chapter 6 trial, but it's not impossible that their personalities were changed by virtue of having these new memories to the point of being entirely different people than who they were before.

Additionally some diseases, especially HICKSHONAL ones, aren't immediately apparent through a basic physical. There are ways he could've hid it.

As for Ouma, the only reference he makes to Kaito is the "maybe that's your way of dying" line, which comes across as a dark joke given that he's in a killing game. It's probably not anything more than that, considering he only really starts noticing the extent of Kaito's illness in chapter 4.

Well, this is pretty complicated but basically one of the Remembering Lights mentions that a lot of people were wiped out by a disease or whatever that spread when meteors struck and that it can sometimes stay dormant.

Where this gets interesting is that in Kaito's memories of being in astronaut training and also subsequent Remembering Lights nothing is ever said about him being sick, but since Shirogane seemed to be shocked that he was sick we can reasonably say this was not planned.

Furthermore, when you talk to him in his introduction he basically says "Like I can wait 3 or 4 more years" to take the test officially as an adult, to the point he got someone to forge papers for him. Although Kaito is rash, the wording of his comment implies that rather than being impatient he can't wait to become one.

Hey friends me and some of my friends have been thinking of recreating the Student Council killing game with Izuru but in the traditional killing game format like DR1, DR2 and V3 with class trials and stuff. They were the ones who helped with the DR0 and DRK sprites and have improved since then so they'll be working on the sprites for the council and Izuru. For now we just want to work with the plot and cases. Like Izuru is obviously going to be MC. But who will be the main waifu, rival, first victim etc?

There were clearly some intended murderers. With his backstory and personality, Korekiyo was inevitably going to murder someone and that person was going to be female. Kirumi also had a very pressing reason to leave the school.

As for protecting some characters against being murdered, there's clear protections put in place. Maki was given bullshit physical ability and reflexes, making her a very unlikely victim so that she could survive to have her tragic love story with Kaito. Ouma was never intended to murder anyone because of the no kill clause stuck in him and he was protected by... being really smart or something, I don't know. I would say it would be extremely easy to kill him given his small stature and weak physical strength but that didn't go so well for Miu. Kiibo was protected by virtue of being a robot (which are very hard to kill), and Tsumugi was clearly staying in the background and out of the way of other students, neither making connections or enemies that could be betray her.

It'd be interesting to think of who TDR's intended victims/killers were going to be and how that differed from reality.

Basically, the murders and victims up until chapter 3 can be confirmed to be on script.

The BGM was used to make Kaede act and Amami's instructions led him to the MM's room, Shirogane was waiting there in case Kaede failed and she killed him.

Of the motive videos only Kirumi got hers so she'd be the murderer, and Hoshi's video had nothing so he'd be the victim.

Although Korekiyo's motive seemingly had nothing to do with the chapter 3 one, the book he got along with the students willingly trying to participate in the ritual gave him the ability to act and kill two students for his own reasons (Which is like Celes, though she wanted the money that was an excuse and she wanted to escape more than anything else).

No one knows what was chapter 4 and chapter 5 supposed to be since that's when Ouma actively meddles with both, but my guess for chapter 5 was that Maki would likely have been the victim and Ouma set up for killing her after the Remembering Light is used on him, had Ouma not crashed the game ensuring Shirogane had to target him personally.

As I see it, in the eyes of TDR there are characters definitely intended to be murderers (Korekiyo, Kirumi), characters that are not intended to kill or be killed until a certain point (Tsumugi, Kiibo, Ouma, Kaito, Maki, Saihara) and "fodder" characters who could go either way (everyone else). Tenko and Himiko were probably in the latter category and could be switched out within expectations.

Well, I've expanded on this before but if Maki had murdered Ouma as planned the remaining survivors would have been Saihara and Himiko/Tenko, leaving them far too weak to pick the neutral option.

We don't know what was supposed to happen in chapter 4 and 5 originally, but you can see the pattern cuts down on people who serve as positive motivation, smart ones and dangerous ones.

So although the pattern's kind of like DR1, it's worse as if things had gone exactly as planned by TDR there wouldn't be any chance of Kiibo helping Saihara and co. to escape.

He sticks out because he was probably intended to be a decoy mastermind from the start.

He's dressed in black and white, talks and acts like Monokuma (to the point where it's commented on), has a talent that's clearly suspicious, does sketchy shit behind everyone back and seemingly enjoys the killing game while doing everything he can to keep it going. It is not a large jump for the rest of the students to suspect him as the mastermind even before chapter 5, nor would it be hard for Tsumugi/TDR to shove new memories into his head to make him "remember" that he is the "mastermind" with the foundation for that being laid down before. Everything about him was specifically set up for this goal so he could reveal himself as the "mastermind" come chapter 5/6 and get executed for it in a proper hope vs despair manner.

He sticks out like that because he was designed to. It had a purpose. Unfortunately for TDR, some of the things they programmed into his head (no kill clause, dislike of being controlled, cleverness) backfired and made him work against the game he was supposed to be the "mastermind" of.
