I have a question:
I'm using Familiar Faces and noticed you can set the saved character as "enemy to player" which I thought was interesting.
I guess I have two questions but 1. what happens when you encounter this enemy character and you kill them? Do they stay dead?
and 2. if they do stay dead, is there a mod or a way to have this enemy character respawn x amount of time after death?

I want to set up this type of undead arch enemy type situation where I can encounter him randomly among my travels but no matter how many times I kill him he will just come back, you know what I mean?

New to modding, trying to understand how Bodyslide UUNP works, specifically for armors. From what I understand I don't need specific "conversion mods" in order to morph the armors to fit the body I come up with?

But I do see that there are a handful of conversion mods. Is it because sometimes armors look wonky, or is it actually impossible to match armor to the body without them?

Can anyone possibly help me with a weird issue with TES5Edit? I use MO to mod my game so I start it through MO so that tes5edit sees all my mods, and it does. trouble is, when I tell it to load something, it doesn't load anything. nothing happens, and trying to do something (like applying filters for cleaning) immediately finishes with a recod of having processed 0 records.


Alternatively, anyone know a way to manually register a master dependency? I'm trying to add some custom furniture to Hearthfire Extended's carpenter workbench, and while I get the furniture working easy it won't show up the workbench's crafting menu. I think it's because for some weird reason creation kit isn't thinking to register hearthfireextended.esp as a master to the plugin I create.

yeah but since you say you're a newbie I'll go ahead and point out that you need the bodyslide tool mentioned on CBBE's page to get CBBE to be HDT/BBP/whatever compatible.

In my experiences/opinion HDT is best, as it's physics-based (I seem to recall T/BBP being static animations but I could be wrong), and it uses the in-game physics engine so some of the mods it requires could theoretically be used to add physics to more savory endeavors such as hair or sheathed weapons.

I was reading some of the older recent threads and saw people talking about getting someone to draw a boob chart. I remember in the past there was talks of this but nothing ever came of it to my recollection.

If you do decide to put Bryn on there, I'd like it if you used the most recent version, but it's also ultimately up to the person who's willing to actually draw it in the first place.

I don't really care which hairstyle she has though. The ponytail, the bob cut, or either of the two longer styles are good with me. I'm not really a fan of the short messy hairstyle from the old version that people seem to like a lot. I only really used that style because there weren't many options at the time and it was great for avoiding clipping.

Hey guys. I'm a newbie modder working on a race mod and I have a retarded creation kit (or 3D modelling?) question.

How do texture/mesh underlays in armours with exposed skin (such as the prisoner rags) work?

What files/attributes need to be modified so that a custom skin/body underlay texture/mesh is used? Is this something that needs to be done in nifskope/blender on a per-individual-armour basis, or is there some general attribute in the race itself that needs to be changed?

There's pretty much zero documentation on how armour models like this work, so I was hoping someone here might know.

hmm. I would guess that it has something to do with texture associations in your race's CK entries? If you haven't tried it yet, I'd suggest dicking around in the kahjiit race's RaceForm in creation kit to see if you can't reverse-engineer the answer. this of course requires your custom race have separate skin textures in its own folder, but I assume that's what you're going for and thus you've already done that.

Found it. It uses the "Skin" that is set in the "BodyData" tab of the Race object for the custom race.

If you go down the chain of ArmorAddon items down to the torso item, it eventually leads to a TextureSet item for the body skin. And that's the texture that gets used (and can be changed to change what the race will look like in those armours).

The race mod in question that I'm working on fixing is not my own, so I'm now going to go bang my head against the table because of how absolutely retardedly lazy this modder was in his implementation of this, and thus the mess that I'm going to be working on fixing...
