Why did they give the "glass cannon" assassins godly defenses?

They have:
*High mobility
*fast guard change speeds for blocking/parrying
*Parry just as well as anybody
*the most forgiving dodges
*they can deflect attacks
*they can attack while dodging
*they can dodge backwards a kilometer as a get out of jail free card whenever they want

All they're missing are the shield classes' superior blocks to break up strings.

The "temporary guard" is a huge non-problem. Against even low level bots your guard is going to be changing too much for that to be a problem anyway.

Peacekeeper guardbreak bleed was OP as fuck in open beta.

for release, Ubisoft nerfed the overall damage of the 3x stab bleed, but in the process managed to break the ability, making the 2nd and 3rd stab do zero damage.

the patch will fix it so that the 2nd and 3rd stab will do damage again, but still less than in open beta.

it's not a buff, it's a fix.

ofc, for anyone who didn't participate in the beta it will feel like a relative buff to them, i'll give you that.

To be fair, as someone who plays a lot of fighting games, that's not a fair assessment.

For one thing, in most fighters there's only two directions you need to watch for, low and high. 90% of attacks can be blocked low, while the few highs are either extremely predictable jumping attacks, or slow ass Overheads. The whole point is so that you can react to them.

Now, even if in FH the fastest attack is 30 frames, the average guard switch time is around 12-15 frames. Which means you get from a max of 25 frames to a min of around 10 frames to react. Compare that to Ryu's collarbone breaker, which is 20 frames startup. And I think that FH has more than 8 frames of input lag.

Even with a giant red indicator, these attacks aren't necessarily easy to react to. Traditional fighters are based on prediction. You can have 3f normals because they're not designed to be reacted to, they're meant to be predicted. Even pros rarely jump a fireball on reaction, instead they almost always predict it.

Instant overheads are a different thing entirely. It's also a prediction, Like a DP is. Basically, by performing this instant overhead you leave yourself EXTREMELY vulnerable for a short duration, depending on character, because some instants are negative even on hit. That's why they're usually used as a finisher, NOT a mixup tool for the most part.

And comparing to GG is hard pressed because GG has a LOT more defensive options as well compared to traditional SF fighting. When FH gets burst, we can have the goddamn Zato mixups.

Rubberband the left stick to something (the other stick, the top of the controller, doesn't matter) so your character keeps running in a direction. The game handles the rest for you. SFV is a garbage game but it's easy as shit. 3f links means no execution barrier.

I can do that shit easy, it's not a 3S combo. The only thing SOMEWHAT difficult in that game is the FANG mid-combo meaty setup where you have to space it so that the 2nd st.lp hits on the final active frame - and even then it's not too damn hard.

It's just a problem with those sideways attacks that LB does. If they dodge towards the start of the swing, they would have taken damage. But the arc of the hurtbox is basically like from 12 to 7 on a clock. Beyond that is just additional animations.

LB has so many goddamn issues it's ridiculous. Why the fuck Valk is getting buffed over him is beyond me, Valk is in an alright state now. She doesn't do much damage, but she's not supposed to. She's a controller-assassin hybrid. Even if most people don't even use her correctly and refuse to use her bleed for whatever reason.

Valk is alright in Dominion as a point-defender. But most people just roam around in roving rape parties, so, sort of defeats the point. She also helps a lot with the fact that she can consistently knock someone down without giving them Revenge-charge to help someone kill them.
People really need to learn to stop jumping one guy and give him Revenge. At least just guard break him or something, don't keep attacking him like a fucking idiot.

For people wondering about the skirmish and elimination orders thing, just select the game mode, then go into options like you normally would to prefer either elimination or skirmish, and turn off matchmaking. (X button on Xbone) This will make you create your own lobby and game using the game mode you preferred, and spawn only bots and let no one join. Protip: it even works for player versus player as far as I know. It'll still spawn bots, but since you started it from the player versus player playlist, it'll count to those orders.

How do you close in on a nob as conqueror? Blocking the pokes leave you too far away from GBing them and the light-light-heavy chain typically gets blocked to the second hit.

Here's a stupid question.

I get on pretty nice with just using my core for honor skills and jumping, headbutting, light attack countering and heavy attack sweeping as a Warlord. But what do i do with his allguard? Right now i have just used it as a way to buy time against a group of opponents when i know my friend is just a few seconds away from the situation. Other than that i don't really know what else to do with the ability. Can you combo it with something or does it have any other uses like maybe hardblocking something that you normally can't block?
